Adoption blesses so many

The past few weeks I have had a few experiences that made me realize how many people’s lives have been blessed through adoption. The first was last week, working on a project for a client. We were riding on a razor at a recreation area near Lake Pleasant, trying to understand the visual impact that our project would have on the people that go there to ride. During the day I mentioned that Rene and I were hoping to adopt, and the other consultant told me her daughter was adopted. I saw the love on her face as she spoke of her daughter. Another experience came when I was talking to my supervisor and she reminded me that she and her brother were adopted. Finally I was working on a brochure to give to anyone considering us to be the adoptive parents to their child, I asked a coworker what they thought. She mentioned that her mother used to work for Arizona child protective service (AZCPS), and she thought it was cool we were adopting because so many children need homes and that Rene and I would be great parents. I hope she is right. I know that this process of trying to find our family has made me appreciate what a blessing it will be when Rene and I find our child. I already have love for the children that will bless our home I just don’t know how they will get here.

Angels Among Us

Dave and I are blown away by how many people have said they are praying for us to find the children meant for our family, even people who may not know us very well. Today at church Dave had an experience that was further evidence of God's existence and the role he plays in all of our lives.
Dave and I are not shy about telling people we are trying to adopt because hopefully the more people we tell the easier it will be to find our kids. Each of us have shared testimonies in which we've talked about our decision to adopt. Often Dave and I stop in the library and we have had several conversations with our librarians about adoption. Today Dave was in the library, and the librarian told him that she felt like she should take some pass along cards about our adoption on her trip to Utah for Christmas.
How awesome is that? I don't know if that will be how we find our first child, but it was so touching to know that someone we doesn't know us real well is praying not only for us to find our baby, but for ways to helps us get there as well.
well it has been a while since my last post. we closed on the house on June 30 and moved in early the next month. and this Saturday i made a major accomplishment, i fit both cars in the garage!! it may not seem like a big thing but my car is the one that was outside so i am excited about it. I am getting over a virus and every time i think i am getting better i over exert myself and get exhausted quick. i finished my shopping last night and Rene is out on a secret shopping trip right now.

its finally looking like a real house now we are waiting for it to pass inspection so the dry wall can go in.
