My little boy turned 1! We invited 30 or more people to the house and had a huge party for my little guy. He got tons of great presents and dove right into his smash cake. He enjoyed playing with everyone and had a great time. Parker's cousin Sandy was kind enough to take these great pictures so we could document the entire day.
Parker is getting so big. He is walking everywhere and eating everything...like you can't tell that! We are preparing for his birthday and will have tons of pictures from that big event for all of you to look at. Sorry we haven't posted new pictures in a long time I guess I've been to busy chasing him around this house!
Everything is a "first" for Parker and he enjoys it all. His first swim class, his first Birthday party for his great-grandma's 90th birthday party, his first time playing outside on his 4-wheeler, first trip to the river and to the casino. He has 6 teeth now and eats all kinds of fun stuff like fruit, pancakes, cinnamon rolls and loves his sippy cup. He loved the swim class and we can't wait till summer to enjoy the pool more. He is getting ready to get a brand new house and he can't wait for his new bedroom and tons more room. He is still having problems with his ears so we have an appointment with an ENT doctor at the beginning of May so we will see if that results in tubes or not. He loves roaming all of the house and playing with Daisy but never goes to far. He loves bath time and crawls into the bathroom on his own and looks in the bathtub. He is really getting goog at going to bed on his own and playing in his crib until he goes to bed.
Parker is getting so big. He is pulling up on everything and reaching for everything in site. He is crawling like crazy and talking a lot. He isn't making full words yet but it won't be long. We are starting to plan for his first birthday and can't believe that it is only a few months away. It has finally getting warm so we spent the afternoon playing on the deck. We brought out his pack-n-play and he had a great time. Parker also started his Water Baby classes. Two of the pictures are of him in his new wet suit!
Parker had a great first Christmas. He got to spend a ton of time with his family and go some great gifts! He went to Grandma Gosmans, Dede's house, Grandma/Grandpa Dunbar and Nannie and Gramp Daugherty's house for gifts and fun. He did really well for most of Christmas and enjoyed opening presents. He got some really great presents and lots of cute clothes!
Parker is eating lots of different foods now. His favorites are pears, bananas, sweet potatos and squash. We are moving onto the #2 foods which means he gets fun stuff like pears/blueberry/granola and he is really enjoying it. We have started with the sippy cup but he doesn't really get that yet. He still only has two teeth although I'm sure there are more to come very soon. He has started sleeping through the night again and mommy really appreciates it!!
He has really started noticing Daisy and if possible gets a handful of her hair. She has done a really good job with him and is really easy with him.
He is working hard on crawling by getting up on all fours but can only go backwards at this point. He gets really mad when he can't get to his toys but it isn't enough motivation at this point to figure it all out.
This is a blog set up to follow the life of the Parker Daugherty! Joe and I will share pictures and updates throughout Parkers life so you can keep up. You can log on as often as you want to get your cute baby fix!
