This is my Emily.

Nearly every morning, she wakes up and comes in our room and reports on the dream she just had. A lot of the time she says, "Last night, I had a bad dream and a good dream. In the bad dream, there was a mommy duck, and a daddy duck and a baby duck. And they were in the pool, and the baby duck got out of the pool and ran away." (Or a version very close.) Then she says, "In my good dream, there was a mommy duck, and a daddy duck, and a baby duck, and they all stayed together in the pool." (Peter says for a little while, the ducks were in a truck. And the baby duck got run over in the bad dream... I already don't remember that one.)
I'm not sure it has some deep profound meaning, but it occurred to me that I needed to record it, so that one day, when she no longer "dreams" of ducks every night, I will remember her little voice talking about her "Mommy duck and Daddy duck and Baby duck." It is truly adorable, and I look forward to hearing what happened with the baby duck each morning.
