i didnt realise that my blog actually turned 3 years old already. i always taught it's birthday was at the end of january. but anyway happy birthday, no ocbc cake for you sadly.
anyway, i'm feeling so sian about the orientation after seeing the schedule and the stupid tik tok dance and cheers installed for us. the tik tok dance is also so damn soft and unrelated, how to fit the energetic beats and degenerating lyrics. might as well do a gaga bad romance dance.
and then i'm also feeling sian because tomorrow will be the start of a new environment, as in not with the same classmates. and then i will have to take a few months or so to adjust to new classmates, while when walking pass the sec 4 classmates, they won't wave to me and say hi. i hope this doesn't happen though. wave to me people, i don't normally wave because i don't know if i would be daoed. i would say hi or wave to you too if you do that to me first. im not some daoist.
apparently i've been peeling bananas from the wrong end all my life. banana's shouldn't have been pulled from the part connected to the stem. it should have been peeled from the other end instead. it supposedly is easier, won't leave squash and pinch mark and there wouldn't be the few strings attached to the banana like peeling the traditional way.
a monkey peels it from the end furthest from the stem too. i wonder what else i've been misled since birth. i need to uncover it.
315. true colors of singaporean/color blind westerners to our culture
today, after that boring physics lesson, went with ky, cca and shawn to watch sherlock holmes, which was not bad and i shan't elaborate further because a nicer show would be a recap of 女王本色.
being lunch time, the maitipok (according to cca and ky) would be crowded with people. so the ladies (not really aunties), put their tissue packets on the table to hog it. and it just lacks the word "reserve" preented on it. so a western couple, not knowing out vulture culture, pushed the tissue packet aside and started to eat there. one of the ladies came back and saw that their seats were grabbed, but being pregnant, she can't bitch her way like in the show or she would most likely have a miscarriage, so she had no choice but to embarassingly (hopefully so) pick up her tissue packet and walk away to find another table, which wasnt difficult for her. i was so looking forward to a quarrel, but then it just wouldn't happen.
so going off track, being a slow day, i had to listen to a soft and short album, which pete yorn & scarlett johansson's break up fits perfectly.

Pete Yorn & Scarlett Johansson – Break Up: 25.5/9 = 2.83
this album is so slow and sort of boring and below average. in the first track "relator", scarlett johansson had to summon her inner amy winehouse and sing a like ho from a winehouse, although im not quite sure of the relation between relator and singing like a bad role model. the other tracks just sounded the same so i sort of went into hibernation mode in the middle, then the album starts to lose steam in the last 2 songs. the plus point of this album is it's length of less than 30 min, so if i had to be tortured, i wouldn't fall asleep and wait for it to end.
just yesterday, i felt like it would have been fun to go back to school rather than have holidays. and now, i find i've changed my mind. school here is either exceptionally boring or the fun part has yet to start. i hope its the latter though, but high school still seemed more fun.

die die die, i never ever want to listen to 3 again. die britney die. the only thing i want to do now is to feel even more despair listening to 21 guns.
the farewell party is so lame anyway. college and high school students standing on both sides of the road from college to high school carpark. mg ang and dr hon been driven on an open audi car with them waving to students and teachers on the side holding onto "we (Y) mr ang" kind of banners. thats so lame. luckily this year's j1 had no fortune to take part in this.
there's a few girl groups (snsd, 4 minute, black eyed girls, after school) there, so why don't every group just have a dance off on it's own, instead of mixing members. anyway i got to say this dance off is so lolcats, especially the pronunciation.
i think the black group doing britney's womanizer performed better because their dancing was sluttish enough for the song. however their pronunciation was worse than the white team. fakin' becomes "freakin'", womanizer becomes "womanizher", and "got a clueS". looks like this is a competition for ris low. im sure she's good enough to lose to them.
the white team on the other hand is like just there to act cute. other than yoona (if im not wrong. im referring to the girl with the curliest hair), the other 2 gals' dancing was like no power, just touch here touch there only, even though the beat of the song was purposely strengthened to do stronger movements. and then the giant wedding cake, passed down from 1984 by madonna, doesn't serve much purpose other for the arrival of one of them. they should have put it to better use like maybe rolling around on the cake and showing their panties, since that's the signature moves of this song.
anyway, recently i have taken an interest in eurovision song contest, where participating european countries send in 1 song each to compete for no.1. notable winners include abba representing sweden, and celine dion representing switzerland (i always thought she was from france, but actually she's from canada. what's she doing representing switzerland anyway?).
i quite like the newest winner's song, fairytale. it set the highest score in the contest's history.
there's also gonna be a spin off in asia-pacific called our song: the asia-pacific song contest. and singapore's participating too. but the song list isn't out yet. if they send something sezairi with touched by an angel, im gonna barf. the contest would be held in march this year. i can't wait to see the fail entries.
