first up good news and bad news. good news: miley cyrus's tour bus overturned, killing one. bad news: miley cyrus wasn't on board and wasn't killed.
anyway on to my week.
class chalet was ultra fun, actually just being able to get together was fun enough for me. great to gossip and guess songs throughout the night again. the duration should have been longer. 2012 was also quite a damn epic movie, just that even if the 8848m mount everest sink how deep, a 1500m tsunami also cannot even drown to near the peak. and then if the godamn small plane that adrian took from california can fly all the way to paris, why can't it fly all the way to china to begin with? i suppose the distance of crossing entire usa and atlantic ocean is much longer than crossing pacific ocean to china. it was also until near the end where the yuri threw his sons on board the ships while shouting "hang on boys" that i know that those 2 were boys. they looked so much like fat ugly girls.
commencement dinner was fun too, although i can't eat some of the food they provided. i demand a partial refund. xing zhi had great hair, make it longer and he can star in gatsby ad. alex's dance was gay but good. what kind of suit was yao nian in? it looked kind of lol. the noob teen waiter was obsessed with filling drinks. an older auntie waitress filled my cup to about 3/4 full, and before i even drank it, the noob waiter had to take the cup and fill it to 9/10 full.
hi peeps, i got a leaked version of adam lambert's for your entertainment. here's my review.
Album Review 85: Adam Lambert – For Your Entertainment
1. Music Again – 4.5/5 2. For Your Entertainment – 5/5 3. Whataya Want From Me – 4/5 4. Strut – 3.5/5 5. Soaked – 4/5 6. Sure Fire Winners – 3.5/5 7. A Loaded Smile – 3/5 8. If I Had You – 4/5 9. Pick U Up – 4.5/5 10. Fever – 5/5 11. Sleepwalker – 4/5 12. Aftermath – 3/5 13. Broken Open – 2.5/5 14. Time For Miracles – 4/5
Adam Lambert – For Your Entertainment: 54.5/14 = 3.89
the album is quite good. it's a rather refreshing album from what other idol alumnus did, the usual rock and country. this album has a variety of genres, such as the good old 80s hard rock, modern rock, modern dance pop, and some electropop. each song gives a different feeling and won't make you feel bored. each song there also make you think of different singers and band, so far i'm reminded of u2, lady gaga (on "fever", it has the lady gaga's "lovegame" beat to it" and linkin park, and ky says muse, ya quite true. the last track is like some sort of il divo and enya singing. one of the few american idol alumnus album that isn't crap. good work! so i can't really figure out why it's only 3.88, i thought it would be above 4.
once again i got hold of a leaked copy of lady gaga's the fame monster.
Album Review 67: Lady Gaga - The Fame Monster
1. Bad Romance - 5/5 2. Alejandro - 4/5 3. Monster – 4.5/5 4. Speechless – 3.5/5 5. Dance In The Dark - 5/5 6. Telephone – 4.5/5 7. So Happy I Could Die - 4/5 8. Teeth - 3/5
Lady Gaga - The Fame Monster: 33.5/8 = 4.19
this album is less boring than the fame, with the singing sort of becoming more casual, and the songs adding in more elements to make it like some sort of rain dance ceremony. great album with great songs so she should have made more songs to turn this into a proper album instead of becoming an ep. but it's already good that she doesn't turn this into the newly released tracks from a re-released edition. great for her!
i managed to get a bootleg of eminem's relapse 2, which is said supposed to be released end of this month or start of next month. the tracklist isn't even revealed so i cannot tell if the one i download is going to be the final version, but obviously i can tell it's the slim shady singing. most likely it's not the correct version because there's lots of different tracklist rumours going around which contains totally different songs from this. what sickening bitches.
Album Review 84: Eminem – Relapse 2
2. These Drugs – 4/5 3. Nail In The Coffin – 3.5/5 4. Can-I-Bitch – 3.5/5 5. The Show Down – 4/5 6. Stimulating – 3.5/5 8. Bully – 4.5/5 9. If I Get Locked Up – 4/5 11. Words Are Weapons – 4/5 12. Still Crazy – 4/5 13. One More Thing – 4/5 14. Hey Girl – 4.5/5 16. 911 – 4.5/5 17. Get U Mad – 3.5/5 18. Watch These – 3.5/5
Eminem – Relapse 2: 55/14 = 3.93
well not bad, there's more drama in the middle portion of the album. and then it's has i think, more sound effects. i sure hope this is the final version, then i don't have to go through the trouble of grading it again.
1. Happy – 4.5/5 2. I Got You – 4/5 3. Can’t Breathe – 3.5/5 4. Brave – 3.5/5 5. Outta My Head – 4/5 6. My Hands – 3.5/5 7. Love Letter – 4/5 8. Broken – 5/5 9. Naked – 4.5/5 10. Stop Crying Your Heart Out – 4/5 11. Don’t Let Me Down – 4/5 12. Alive – 4/5 13. Lost Then Found – 4.5/5 14. Stone Hearts & Hand Grenades (Hidden Track) – 3/5
Leona Lewis – Echo: 56/14 = 4.00
"echo" is a much better, less boring album than her previous "spirit". the songs are filled with more spirit and emotions, and then there's upbeat songs included to make the album less monotonous. lots of the songs are hits-qualified, especially since i think "broken" is better than "happy". bt sadly, i don't think this album would sell very well because the lead single is already punctured at no.50 on billboard hot 100. but this is definetely an album i won't fall asleep to, unlike a lot of other boring r&b and ballad albums.
hi, i just reviewed the number??? edition of fearless, the plain-tinum edition, which was just released, and spammed 8 hot 100 singles in one week, the most for any female artist.
Album Review 80: Taylor Swift – Fearless (Platinum Edition)
1. Jump Then Fall – 5/5 2. Untouchable – 4/5 3. Forever & Always (Piano Version) – 3/5 4. Come In With The Rain – 3.5/5 5. SuperStar – 3/5 6. The Other Side Of The Door – 3.5/5 7. Fearless – 4/5 8. Fifteen – 3.5/5 9. Love Story – 5/5 10. Hey Stephen – 4/5 11. White Horse – 3/5 12. You Belong With Me – 5/5 13. Breathe – 4.5/5 14. Tell Me Why – 4/5 15. You’re Not Sorry – 4/5 16. The Way I Loved You – 3.5/5 17. Forever & Always – 4/5 18. The Best Day – 3.5/5 19. Change – 4/5
Taylor Swift – Fearless (Platinum Edition): 74/19 = 3.89
quite glad that i dont have to listen to 19 tracks at 1 go, only 6 extra tracks built on to the previous fearless which i have graded. so there are 6 extra tracks, but she chose to release as yet another edition, and not an ep or whatsoever. its obviously a ploy to increase chart span of fearless on billboard 200 and also the sales of fearless. she's gonna release billions of edition till fearless goes diamond (10x platinum). poor addicted taylor swift fans, burning holes in their pocket believing in taylor swift's fantasies. nevertheless, the platinum edition still lags behind the standard edition, which got 4.00, mostly because of the piano version of "forever & always", which doesn't sound as nice as the original. luckily her collaboration with john mayer, the track "half of my heart", wasn't here. i would have graded that song 0 on this album (outside of this album, it's a 4.5/5) because i can't hear her in the track, she was practically non-existent there. perhaps thats why the song sounded better, because only john mayer can be heard.
once again, syncing with ky, we reviewed black eyed pea's the e.n.d.
Album Review 74: Black Eyed Peas – The E.N.D.
1. Boom Boom Pow – 5/5 2. Rock That Body – 3.5/5 3. Meet Me Halfway – 5/5 4. Imma Be – 3.5/5 5. I Gotta Feeling – 5/5 6. Alive – 5/5 7. Missing You – 4/5 8. Ring-A-Ling – 3.5/5 9. Party All The Time – 4.5/5 10. Out Of My Head – 3.5/5 11. Electric City – 3/5 12. Showdown – 3.5/5 13. Now Generation – 3.5/5 14. One Tribe – 3.5/5 15. Rockin To The Beat – 3.5/5
Black Eyed Peas – The E.N.D.: 59.5/15 = 3.97
this is a lyrically retarded album, but very suitable dance album for a house party. fergie's lungs are too big, all across the album i hear her shouting, and it seems like they had to edit it to make it sound softer.
kwang yu "recommended" me to listen to owl city's "ocean eyes" album, i did so and im damn happy to have broken my all time lowest album review score previously set by mika's shit which got a 2.85. ocean eyes got a 2.33.
Album Review 68: Owl City - Ocean Eyes
1. Cave In - 3.5/5 2. The Bird And The Worm - 3/5 3. Hello Seattle - 2.5/5 4. Umbrella Beach - 4/5 5. The Saltwater Room - 2/5 6. Dental Care - 2/5 7. Meteor Shower - 1/5 8. On The Wing - 1/5 9. Fireflies - 3/5 10. The Tip Of The Iceberg - 1.5/5 11. Vanilla Twilight - 1.5/5 12. Tidal Wave - 3/5
Owl City - Ocean Eyes: 28/12 = 2.33
well the first few songs were ok up to umbrella beach, and umbrella beach, even was doing quite nicely. but everything after that was a hell lot of hell with boring songs and more boring songs, and up till "meteor showers", the worst song on this album, and probably i have ever rated, i had to skim through the album to save my life before my brain crunches up into nothingness. but i think i will brave through mika's album again because i think he is still the worst shit i have ever heard.
