Germany

Our last stop was Germany. Even though we were only there for a day, I thought it would be really fun to go back to where we lived.  Most things looked just the same.  We were also able to get some delicious wiener schnitzel, brats, and spaghetti ice.

We thought flying over Greenland was so cool!
Downtown Oberursel
Before we flew out, we stopped at the Frankfurt Natural History Museum.

Old stomping grounds for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade.

This is the "hotel" that we lived at for a couple months until we found a house.
Our old house! It all looked exactly the same.

A church and castle in Bad Homburg.

Paris

We took the train from Amsterdam to Paris. We both loved the train rides. It was so fun watching all the countryside go by.  We had a good time in Paris, although Darrin couldn't believe how dirty of a city it was. :)

Amsterdam

From Iceland we flew to Amsterdam- the whole reason for our trip!  We took a canal boat tour, went to The Anne Frank House, The Van Gogh Museum, and Darrin's conference and award ceremony.
We had some of the best gelato...a couple times.

Darrin thought I was silly taking pictures of the flowers, but I thought they were so cool!

Iceland

Iceland was our first stop on our trip to Europe. It was so beautiful there! We arrived in the morning and went straight to the Blue Lagoon, which is a huge hot spring. It was so nice and relaxing after our long flight. After that we went to Reykjavik and checked into our hotel. That evening we walked around downtown and had some very fresh fish kabobs and lobster chowder right in the harbor. I don't like fish and it was pretty good! The next day we went on the Golden Circle Tour. We saw lots of waterfalls and geysers. The last day we did the Glacier Lagoon tour. It was a long day (round trip with stops was about 15 hours), but we saw so many amazing things.

Outside the Blue Lagoon

There were so many weeds and  wild flowers there.  Addilyn would of loved picking tons of huge dandelions!
