Had Fun Playing Board Games At Meeple Cafe

yes after going to Meeples cafe for the very first time I am so in love with the place already.

really had a great time playing board games with Thomas Chew, Cher Linn and Daryl.

I find board games fun not because it is for those people who are "bored" but for people who would like to be challenged to think outside the box.

I love it too because it involves strategies and really challenge us to use our brains to think differently...

Just signed up for a group that likes to play board games, woohoo.. finally pity Cher Linn. she does not need to organise a group outing already because there is an interest group who meetup on a regular basis to play board games! yay! :)

so looking forward to my first session which is actually tomorrow. lol. :)

Man Of Steel movie

woowhee the new superman movie was released in Malaysian cinemas last week Thursday and as usual since it is a DC Comic superhero kinda movie, I would be assuming by now that everybody is so looking forward and having high expectation about these movie that it is in fact going to be the best Superman movie ever and much much better than the previous ones.

well I went to watch the movie with Thomas Chew last night at GSC Tropicana City Mall and honestly if you ask for my opinion, I thought the movie was alright. nothing spectacular but I also would not say that it was rather disappointing as well.

if you ask me to compare it to Iron Man 3 which I just watched last month, I would still give Iron Man 3 the heads up then Man Of Steel just for the fact that the action scenes are better...

overall rating for the movie I would give is 2.5 / 5 stars.

Great Sharing Session With Deb At The Curve

wow my first post of 2013! it really has been a long time since I last updated my post. sometimes I just tend to forget about it and only come back to my blog when I suddenly realize that I need to write about something.

well, where should I begin? oh yes based on the title, it already says it all.....

I actually met up with my friend Deb at the Curve yesterday morning and it was a great meet up because I got to share a lot of stuff with her and she too shared about her life experiences with me as well and I did find it rather interesting of how she handles different situations and people in a certain way.

I always found psychology fascinating because it involves studying about human behaviour and why people behave the way they do but I just never got started in reading or learning more about it.

Deb did recommend me a few websites that I can look into and I reckon I shall start from there to learn more about psychology and counseling.... :)

A Trip To Karak Town Pahang During Christmas Day

Merry Christmas everyone.............. today is christmas day where all of us would come together to celebrate and share the joy of Christmas with one another.

well for me, I went for a trip with my family down to a town called Karak. Have not been there for a few years already, gosh that is how long since we last went to Karak. I remembered the last time we went would be somewhere in 2009 or 2008 when I was still living in Perth, Western Australia and my family and I went down to this shop and ate one of the local swimming fishes, forgot what it is called already and the fish and the rest of the food was awesome, really delicious.

unfortunately when we went this time around, the shop apparently is not there anymore and it closed down so we went to eat in a shop further down from road. Food was not bad, ate dishes like home made taufu, sweet potato leaves vege, eel with dried chilli, steam catfish with ginger and my dad calls this dish the waterfish.

he said the dish not very good wor compared to the rest of the dishes...........
after food, went to buy some durians and mangosteen and also duku langsat along the roadside stalls. We wanted to buy the Musang King durian but all sold out in Karak so we headed to Bentong to look for some.

overall it was a fun and enjoyable experience, I have not done this for a while so it is always good to do something different for a change you know. My dad seems to enjoy doing all this kind of things so ya, it was an enjoyable day to celebrate christmas with my family. My brother in law took only 2 pictures (below) but it was all still good fun. :)

guy cutting the durian for us to have a taste, it was delicious man!

the whole family excluding Matt enjoying our food at Karak town

Great Time To Trade The FOREX Market

I reckon now is one of the best times to trade the FOREX market. why do I say that? well, one reason is because FOREX has the largest trading market in the world today with a total daily transaction of USD 4.3 trillion dollars. wow, that is even bigger than the stocks and commodities market man. Can you imagine how powerful the FOREX market is? the power of the stock market is totally unbelievable, currency pairs and just go up, down or even sideways in a matter of days and sometimes even hours in fact.

there is this book that I am currently reading and it is called Day Trading The Currency Market by Kathy Lien. This book is the number one bestseller in the market since its launch till today and it is indeed a very good book to read especially for beginners who are new to the FOREX market. Kathy explains in the book about the history events in the FOREX market and also what moves the FOREX market in the long term and in the short term.

with the euro debt crisis looming and also the United States economy finding ways to recover from its faltering economy, now is the best time for us retail FOREX traders to take the opportunity to trade in the FOREX market. I always hear people say that FOREX trading is risky. well to me it is risky if you do not do 2 things which are to put a stop loss for all your trades and to educate yourself first before you start trading in the FOREX market.

FOREX market teaches the traders to understand about global finance and also countries economics which I find very interesting. what makes the FOREX market different from the stock market is instead of trading a company's stock in the market, FOREX traders are actually trading countries, how cool is that man!

for those people who have yet to start on FOREX trading, now is a good time to start. There is really a lot of opportunities to make money in the FOREX market, all you have to do is educate yourself and learn from the best. remember to put a stop loss in every single trade, very very crucial. no stop loss for any single trade and your chances of making huge losses in the FOREX market becomes bigger and bigger!.

Precious Metals The Safest Way To Store Wealth

gold and silver, these are the 2 precious metals that has been going up in price during the past few years and will continue to go up even more in the next few years to come. With so much turnmoil happening in countries like the United States and also Europe due to its debt crisis, a lot of investors are now shifting their money into precious metals like gold and silver.

there is this book published by Mike Maloney called Guide To Investing In Gold and Silver and apparently after reading that book, Mike actually talks more about the history of the global monetary system and how money actually came into place replacing the gold standard.

it is really an interesting book to read because it gives the reader a different perspective on the investment world and one should also consider to invest at least 10% of their total investment portfolio in gold and silver to protect their financial future.

I strongly recommend that people start learning about how to invest in gold and silver if they want to protect their financial future and accumulate their wealth because looking at the current economic situation that is happening around the world, I reckon it is not going to get any better few years down the road. guess we shall wait and see what happens!

Cowboys Vs Aliens Movie Review

cowboys vs aliens? is there really such a thing? well in real life but on the big screen, yes! once I saw that name as a movie, I was thinking to myself, hmmmmm........ it does sound like a very interesting movie indeed and also you got big big movie stars in the movie like Daniel Craig (ya the james bond guy), Harrison Ford which is like one of my favourite actors of all time because of Indiana Jones and Air Force One and you also got Olivia Wilde, new actress I think, have not really seen much of her in the movies these days.

so, you got a great looking cast and when I saw the trailer, there were quite a number of action scenes and also I was curious to see how the cowboys could actually fight the aliens! to me this is a kind of movie that is not your typical average Hollywood movie, I reckon it does offer something different.

after watching the movie I actually thought it was not too bad, very entertaining, interesting to see how the aliens chase the cowboys and also some funny scenes involving Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig. It was really strange to see Daniel Craig in this kind of movie because you would always see him as a typical James Bond kind of guy, driving flashy cars and also kicking the bad villians left right and center.

Overall, I would recommend the movie to anyone out there who is interested to see a bunch of cowboys fight the aliens from outer space. go watch it on days where they offer specials, you can save that few extra dollars for this kind of movie.:)
