First Salary Review

yes that's right people, yesterday I had my first salary review and I was very very nervous at first because I did not know what to expect or what to say for my first salary review. I was so nervous that I just kept praying and praying and praying, asking God to be with me during the review.

I still remembered when I entered Peter's (one of the directors of my company who is in charge of the staff matters) office at 4 in the evening, I did not know what to say or what to expect. I prayed and said:" God, I leave my salary increment into your hands, I trust you will provide what is best for me Lord". Indeed, god answered my prayer and gave me an amount I did not expect at all.

Peter showed me my productivity graph and said:" your productivity is below the budget after writing off the 15% benchmark". I was like okay! thats it man, I think its not going to be good this time. Then Peter asked me how much increment I wanted and I told him an amount. he went :hmmmmmmmm, okay, how about this amount?????" I was like okay, well it was below what I wanted but it still was not far from what I wanted.

I was speechless because for getting such a negative feedback on my productivity, I still got such a high increment of 31.5%! 31.5% man, really no joke. I could not believe it. I just want to Thank god for being so good to me. I love you lord!

Hillsong Conference 2008 Experience Part 2

Below is a video that I took during the conference, it was when I was inside the Acer Arena waiting for one of the evening rallies to begin. The atmosphere was just amazing, I somehow could not imagine myself worshipping with about another 20,000 people. such a wonderful experience!

Hillsong Conference 2008 Experience

yes, I mentioned about all the yummy food that I had in Sydney, it just filled my stomach until the brim man. you can see some of the photos of the delicious food that I took when I was having my meals in Sydney, you can just feast your eyes when you see them. It just makes you want to whack them straight away.

I somehow just felt that this conference gave me a whole new perspective of life. God is truly amazing, everytime I ask for something he simply seems to point me in another direction which I find interesting because its something I always never come across before. For example, the conference, God spoke to me about the poor and the needy and how much are we really doing to help them?

There are children dying in Africa everyday you know, I mean its not like just one day of the week but every single day! oh my gosh, how sad is that! lives are being lost every single day and these children do not even have food to eat. I am just thankful that I got food to eat not like those children. The theme that struck me the most from the conference was this phrase in the Compassion booklet when every single delegate was given a child sponsorship booklet and were asked to sponsor a child.

The phrase goes like this : " WE CAN'T DO EVERYTHING BUT WE MUST DO SOMETHING". That phrase really spoke to me because I feel that all of us should play our part in sponsoring a child especially those people who are working, I see no reason why putting aside AUD44 dollars a month is so difficult.

I feel we all can cut down and spend on unnecessary things that do not need to be spent on. We are talking about people's lives here. Ya, anyways it has been a wonderful experience for me going to this conference. I believe my faith in Christ has just grown stronger and stronger now. Unbelievable! Absolutely unbelievable!

Below are some photos I took during my conference trip, enjoy the photos. make sure not to drool over the food, I know they look tempting. hahahahaha!

Korean seafood in a hot pot, yummy!

Ice cream with red bean and muachi, awwwwww, mouth watering!

Hillsong Conference 2008 Day 1

spectacular, absolutely mind blowing! thats what i can say about the opening ceremony at Hillsong Conference yesterday. The lightings were simply awesome and the music and worship was just so lively that it just lifted up the atmosphere. I was thrilled indeed because this is my first Hillsong conference that I have ever been to. I have heard about Hillsong Conference ever since I arrived in Perth 4 years ago but I somehow never got the chance to go because I did not have the finances.

also, since I am working right now I told myself not to miss these opportunity to go this year because I really wanted to go and did not want to wait anymore. I arrived on Thursday and was just eating and eating and eating like a pig. gosh i did not regret it because I really wanted to whack the food here in Sydney, simply amazing and of course cannot compare it to Perth man. No way! I ate the pork ribs at Hurricane which was like super huge, the desert at Passionflower which was simply mouth watering and also the coffee at Starbucks, yes the coffee at Starbucks! there is no Starbucks in Perth, maybe thats why!

will continue my updates tomorrow if possible. till then saynara!
