ABW!

Thanks for going tropical with us in Shabneez's dare last week - our weather in the Northern hemisphere may not be quite up to tropical standard but at least we saw some lovely sunny creations!

It's Joanne here with this week's challenge and I'd like to see you using
ABW - Anything But White!
Using white as a card base is a really easy habit to slip into so I'd like to see what else you can come up with. It could be a chalkboard technique on black cardstock, metallic or opaque embossing powder on a coloured base, coloured pencils on kraft or something like the Joseph's Coat technique.

What will you decide on to make your base other than white? Here's what the team came up with:

Let's Go Tropical

Happy Friday!

It's Shabneez here and I'd like to thank you for joining in with Sveja's June Elemental Challenge last week.  Unfortunately I wasn't well so could take part.

Following on with Svenja's summer theme I decided to carry on along the same lines by going
Totally Tropical!
So I'd like to see you use bold, bright colours, flowers, fruit, animals, birds and anything else you can think of associated with my tropical theme.  Take a look at all this inspiration:

Handmade Flowers

Hello crafters and welcome to another lovely Friday challenge.

A big thank you to everyone that played along last week it was so lovely to see all your creations.

Its Dawn here with this weeks challenge and I have decided to call it.

Handmade Flowers

I have been having some work experience as part of my French course and I have been working along side a fantastic lady who makes paper flowers.

So I would like to see handmade paper flowers on your cards.

This could be a punched flower or die cut but it has to be handmade.

We can't wait to see what you create and please check out below how the Design Team were inspired.

Time to say good-bye

Good morning, Svenja here!

First of all a big thank you to everyone who let themselves be inspired by last week's busy bee-challenge. Wasn't the blog bustling with life and springyness? I love how everything is finally turned to green outside.

But, well, we're going for something completely different this week because sometimes it just is

Time to say good-bye

Show us your ideas for farewell-cards. Could be retirement or leaving cards but sympathy cards are just as welcome. We all sadly need them from time to time and inspiration in the field is very welcome.
To get you started just have a look at the Design Team's creative ideas:

Busy Bees

Thanks for sharing your takes on our elemental dare last week, we always love to see what you're making!

Busy Bees

It's Enfys here setting this week's challenge: use anything related to bees on your project - it could be a honey pot, a hive, or just a busy little bee buzzing around some flowers.

The DT have indeed been busy bees, here's their take on the theme.

May Elemental; Inspiration

Hello, Happy First Friday of the Month!
Thank you so much for joining in with Miri's fun Weather challenge, it was good to see all those weather-related ideas for cards.

It's Ruth here today hosting this challenge and as its the First Friday of the Month (and it's May already - how did that happen?!), it's an Elemental Inspiration Picture which we hope will inspire your crafting this week.  I really enjoyed picking these different elements and pulling them together!

Just choose a minimum of THREE elements from the mood board to use when you make your card.

Suggestions: stars, flowers or petals, square layout, hand drawn patterns, twigs, sunset, handwriting, monogram, large letters, fur, woodgrain ..... lots of inspiration!

Here's what the DT made to inspire you:
