Hey everyone! I just wanted to post quickly to say thanks to everyone who helped Ghostbusters Ongoing #1 sell out within the first day! Everyone on the team is very gracious and we all look forward to hearing your thoughts on Issue #2, out October 12th. If you missed out on the first printing of Ghostbusters #1, don't worry, there will be a second printing out very soon! Here's a sneak peek at Issue 3's cover that Luis and I did in the mean time. Now I have to get back to page 16 of Issue 4, there is something sugary on the loose!

Things are still hauntingly busy with the Ongoing Ghostbusters comic book. I'm almost finished pencils for issue #3, and I'm excited to jump onto issue #4 next week. Just a reminder, that you can still pre-order issue 2! Also, be sure to hit up you local comic shop or online dealer September 21st. Issue #1 hits the stands that Wednesday. If you are having trouble finding a shop in your area, check out this great thread co-artist Tristan Jones cooked up.

To sweeten the deal, here's a sample of the comic, 7 pages worth!

Ghostbusters #1 Preview

Love to hear what you think, so post some comments on what you like and don't like. Enjoy!

Cheers,

Dan

Things have been "supernormally" busy lately, as I'm now the lead pencil on the new ongoing monthly Ghostbusters comic for IDW! I'm very excited to be working with Erik, Tristan, Luis and Tom, and I know if you dig the boys in Gray, you will love the book! Be sure to place your pre order for the book with your local comic shop as soon as you can! Here are the first two covers I penciled for issues 1 and 2 respectively. Both colored by the great Luis Delgado! Cheers :)

My daughter, mom and I watched Rio today. We all really enjoyed the film, especially my daughter, who loves Macaws. I def recommend checking it out, a nice animated film from 20th Century Fox/Blue Sky, who also created Ice Age and Horton Hears a Who. Tracy Morgan really made some of the scenes shine. The music in the film was equally as cool. After, I was inspired to draw up a few Macaws myself with my daughter's crayola twistable crayons (which are a blast to draw with btw!). Hope you digs!

A sketch for this weeks Illustration Friday. The topic is "lesson", and what better creature to learn the lesson of change from, than that of a Dragonfly?

I wanted to share with you some sketch covers I did for the upcoming IDW's Ghostbusters Infestation #1! I'm super humbled to be apart of the project, and getting to sketch out GB characters is always exciting. In total I did 250 covers, and there are a few one offs of specific characters in there as well. Here's a sampling of some of the covers. If you pick one up, let me know where and which cover! Cheers

Ghostbusters Infestation#1 hits stands March 9th!

Credits and Synopsis;

Erik Burnham (w) Kyle Hotz (a) Hotz, John K. Snyder III (c)
IDW's Infestation event continues here in this bi-weekly two-part Ghostbusters tale! Thanks to a plague of poltergeists that resist long-term storage in the containment grid, the Ghostbusters are dealing with a surplus of work... and their job is only going to get harder when Britt's zombies try to take a nibble out of the Big Apple! Written by Erik Burnham (The A-Team: War Stories) and illustrated by Kyle Hotz (Marvel Zombies).

Hey Folks!

Just wanted to drop down a quick update as it seems the last one was a few months back. I hope everyone had a positive and productive 2010. Let's make 2011 even better I say! This year, is the year of balance. Which ties in nicely with these two sneak peek pages for the Kung Fu Panda comic titled Kung Fu Panda: The Art of Balance, I did art for. The book is due out on April 11. I really enjoyed the Kung Fu Panda movie, and I find it is one of Dreamworks stronger efforts. My favorite is definitely How to Train your Dragon though. That creative team managed to create strong characters, matched with strong design and great storytelling. What is your favorite Dreamworks film, and why?

I hope you enjoy the samples, and I look forward to your thoughts on the book when it arrives on stands in April!

Cheers,

Dan
