June....

The beginning of June has been wonderful!

It has been warm enough for us to play outside with water guns.

Derick built me a raised garden.  I will post photos of the growing garden later on...I will give you a hint of whats to come we already have four tomatoes!!

And last, Derick had a three day drill weekend that we got to pick him up from.  While waiting for him to arrive we checked out some aircraft on base.  The children were so very very happy to see him after three days.  I know they can not wait till summer when he will be gone for longer...but we will make it through!

Hiking!!!

Before we had children Derick and I used to go hiking with our dear friends the McDowells all the time...reminiscent of those wonderful times we decided to go hiking with the McDowells and all the children!!  We had a great time, and the kids were way faster then I thought they would be.  It ended up being a great workout, fun company, and an all round fantastic day!

After the hike we went to the beach while we waited for the restaurant to open for lunch.  Sarah got so wet that we striped her down to her underwear and let her play on the beach.  Derick was a bit embarrassed but I thought kids should be kids!

Car Show and Kurtis' Performance

We went to the annual culver city car show, the children and I always really love the car show.  I love to see all the interesting upgrades and remodels, Kurtis loves the different paint jobs, and Sarah enjoyed trying to find a pink car this year.  She was successful and found two!!  The camera died so I only got so many pictures, but they were good ones none the less!!

A week or so ago Kurtis had a special performance for Cinco De Mayo, I got a great picture when he walked into the auditorium but then it was so full that I could only video from one position and couldn't get the best shot of him.  You see him a few times though, enjoy!
