Photo Journal

So I have started a new project. I saw a documentary about a photographer that took just one photo a day and published a book.

I doubt anyone would buy a book from me, but I have decided to take one photo a day for the next 365 days. So I will end on September 30, 2008.

There are no retakes, once I snap the shutter, that is it. In focus, out of focus, it doesn't matter. If the lighting is terrible, it doesn't matter. I just get one shot to represent my day.

I hope you enjoy. There is a link over there -------> on the right.

I Can Almost Remember What It Was Like Having A Wife...

Well, most of you know Crystal is a book-a-holic. That is one of the things that makes her so endearing is that she is able to read and is capable of abstract thought.

This is a VERY common site in our new house (now that her unpacking obsession has quelled)

There she is, sitting and reading. That's my well read sweetie. I almost remember what it was like having a wife. Now I just have a lady who reads books in my basement while I think of something to do to "not bother" her. Oh well.

Twister and Shout

So we had some pretty nasty storms last week. A tornado touched down about a mile from our apartment. There was a lot of damage. I had two employees that hid in the basement. Here are some pics of the damage done in our area. I didn't take this one...

Sweet Home Michigan-a

So since my last post on my old blog where the password escapes me, I have packed up myself, my wife, kids, and relatively useless cat and moved to Michigan. DeWitt to be exact. However, if you chance upon my blog it is more than likely that you did so by linking through my wife's blog who is akin to the "Blog Prom Queen", so I'm relatively certain that you know that I have moved to Michigan. For those of you who have randomly ventured to this blog, my deepest and sincerest condolences. Better luck next time.

I'm picking up good vibrations...

Yeah I forgot the password to my old blog. I tried every password that I have ever used, EVER! and sure enough stupid creative me decided to use some random password and try something new. That will teach me a lesson. No more will I venture and try something that I haven't used before. I will find a nice little corner of my house. Curl up with a book, order pizza over the internet and become a 400 lbs hermit. I'll change my name to "Brian Wilson" Earl.

The Crucible

So, as it turns out that one of my great grandmother's was accused, tried, and hung as a witch during the Salem Witch Trials. Her name was Rebecca Nurse and she was 71 when she was falsely accused of witchcraft and hung. She knew she was innocent, but wrote to her husband that there must have been some sin in her past that she never repented of, that even forgotten, God was punishing her for. I hope she accepts and understands the Gospel in the afterlife.

Here is the house that she lived in.
