We are not perfect.

Despite how we are at the moment and what we want to become, there will always be a time when we will feel that we are losing the battle against ourselves and have returned to square one. The real challenge is to keep striving for the sake of Allah. We want to develop the best character that closely resembles that of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). No one can achieve his status but that does not justify our excuses to ignore his Sunnah. Allah Subhanahu Wa Taa'la says

As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause), We will surely guide them to Our Paths (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism). And verily, Allah is with the Muhsinun (good doers)."

(Qur'aan 29:69)

Nothing is impossible when we have Allah Subhanahu Wa Taa'la on our side. Constant du’aa's, efforts, and struggles in perfecting ourselves sincerely for His sake is what will get us success in this world and the next.

We ask Allah to guide us to whatever pleases Him, protect us from the reasons that incur His Wrath, and guide us all to His Straight Path. Indeed, He is All-Hearer, Ever-Near.
