We took advantage of my sis being down here for chrismtas and threw her a baby shower. It turned out really cute and was fun for me to watch her in this moment. I love her to death and am SOOOOO excited for her to have the experience of being a mom. She had lots of friends come and is pretty prepared for this little guy. And YES She is the cutest little prego ever. Cant wait to meet him!

Right after church on Christmas day I had my sister hurry and take a few family pictures before we changed our clothes. For a LITERALLY 5 minute photo shoot I think they turned out great. I sure love my family!

Christmas 2011

We had a "magical" christmas this year. It was the first time since danny and I have been married that I had the whole holiday off and I loved every minute of it. It has never been horrible having to work around christmas but it was really nice not having to think about my schedule at all. We packed our christmas holiday full of family and fun but still made time for the sweet quiet moments at home. This christmas was especially fun for danny and I because the nervous excitement we used to get as kids, came back to us because of our kids! They are old enought now to really be excited. It was perfect.

The kiddos had fun with santa this year. It is funny to hear all the comments Cooper makes as he is trying to figure out the whole santa thing... this year he said santa sprinkled dust on our house to make a chimney so he could come in and then sprinkled more dust to make the chimney disappear when he left. Awesome.

Holidays can be kind of tricky because we have both families here and want to spend as much time as we can with both. Luckily we have two AWESOME families who are very accomodating and make it easy on us. Christmas eve morning we met with the perkinsons for a yummy brunch at the clubhouse and then headed to a chipmunk movie. It was really fun. I love going to the movies with the kids. They love it and are so good. Things got a little hectic because that morning cooper decided he wanted to buy ALL his aunts and uncles presents with his own money. So in between breakfast and the movie we headed to the dollar store... need I say more!! ha ha. It was a success and so sweet to watch him wrap and write names on ALL the presents. What a neat kid.

Christmas eve night we spent with my side of the family over at the Giffords home. We had our traditional meal. Moms cream of brocolli soup, Karmas stew, salad, and rolls. YUMMMMM!! We even have enough kiddos again to do the nativity. The kids looked so cute and loved it. I always love being able to reflect upon the birth of Christ and I love imagining mary his mother and what he was like as a sweet new baby. I am so grateful.

In our new house the boys have to go through our living room to get to our room and we didnt want them to see what santa brought before they woke us up so we started a new tradition in our room... they thought it was the best thing ever!!

Christmas day was pretty busy this year. We had church and missionary phone calls to both Reece and Andrew. Since we werent going to have too much time santa didnt wrap very many presents... but he still made it the "best christmas EVER!!" according to Cooper. :) Cooper was thrilled that he got the bayblades he had asked for. (we could have got him nothing else and he would have been satisfied!) And cole loved his new bike. The other big santa present was a trampoline!! It fits perfectly in our side yard and has changed my life! ha ha. The boys love it. Thanks danny for braving the crowds and scoring a sweet deal on black friday!

Another fun thing about this year was the John and Verna did the 12 days of christmas for us. Verna did get caught on day 5 but managed to cover it up for the boys at least! :) Every day for the 12 days before chrismtas we got fun deliveries at our door. The boys LOVED it. They thought it was so awesome when they found out who it was that kept bringing by such fun presents. They are the best and claim that they had a lot of fun doing it! ha ha

We had a little bit too much fun with one of uncle brians christmas presents. :)

It was really fun to be able to skype with Reece and Andrew this year. Neither of them were here when polly was born so it was fun to put her in front of the computer and let them see her. We are so proud of them and the blessings we receive from their service.
