almost every day, when you turn on the radio, you will hear of an accident occurring on the TPE, SLE, ECP, AYE etc etc which sets me thinking: "Are we that dangerous in our driving? Aren't we supposed to be proficient in our driving that we managed to pass our supposedly driving test?"
even on normal days, you will see taxi drivers changing lanes without warning, just to pick up passengers. to me, it would seem that they are putting other drivers' safety at risk but these taxi drivers do not seem to care. how come? is the taxi driver license so easy to obtain that not-so-proficient people can also obtain? maybe the criteria should be more stringent.
furthermore, normal drivers would park their cars by the roadside where there's double yellow lines, causing those cars behind them being unable to continue in that particular lane. how come? what are the TP doing? shouldn't they be going around booking all these people? or are they non-existent anymore?
from all of these ugly examples, it lead me to many questions. did something happen to our consideration for people and graciousness towards people? or did we leave them at home when we drive? some countries like germany do not have speed limits on their expressways or normal roads, yet they, being a larger country than singapore, have lesser daily occurrences of traffic accidents. doesn't thay say something about ourselves?

"We laugh and laugh, and nothing can ever be sad, no one can be lost, or dead, or far away: right now we are here, and nothing can mar our perfection, or steal the joy of this perfect moment."

visited the eiffel tower today! really magnificent view from the top floor (the 3rd level) although the 2nd level offers nice view too. was really chilling up at the top too. the weather this morning wasn't sunny as per the past few days; today, it was threatening to rain but luckily it didn't. things were expensive there so only got some keychains for cousins. had a really nice n hour-long-lunch this afternoon which costs me 13€. how's that for a lunch!
dun know what to do tmr. texted crystal asking her what's her plan for tmr since she's also in paris. hopefully could meet up with her n the trumpet section from my band.

random thoughts now:
1) really miss looking over my shoulders and seeing u behind me, though u may not know it
2) really miss hearing your voice although we dun really talk during the trip
3) wanted to buy a present for u but dun know what to get for u so i dropped the idea
4) the type of rice they serve in france really sucks, so dun try it. try their pasta n burgers. it's much better than rice!
5) think u like puzzles but didn't know where to find it at the lourve musuem so in the end didn't buy.
6)i think i like holland's weather much more than paris. food-wise, holland is much better :)

in paris now! paid 2 euros to use the internet in the hostel for 30 mins and to see what's happening around the world.. haha... apparently, i'm singapore-sick, bread-sick and whatever sick u can think of.
it's fun to travel alone and dun have to worry about other people but on the other side of the coin, it gets bit of bored when u r tired n have no one to talk to. i haven't spoken more than 10 words today, i think. most of the french don't speak english n i dun speak french either so it gets kind of awkward if i want to ask for directions.
visited the lourve today and tmr i'm going to effiel tower (hope i get the spelling correct).
ps: i miss u
