Easter and an Update

It's been so long since I've posted anything on my blog.  I've come to the realization that I'm not a very good nor interesting blogger.  This blog primarily is for a very few of you that don't see all this pictures already on facebook :)
Eric sure has grown a bunch since his fuzzy bear cub says, and Gus is turning a tall little boy.  Eric is now 21 mo old, and already I'm seeing him discovering the independence in himself, and gearing up the the terrible twos.  But he's such a sweet and mellow fellow, that even at his most difficult, you want to squeeze him!  Gus is 3yr 8mo old and smiley, smart, silly and energetic as they come!  They both keep me very entertained and busy.  We love them both SO much!
We bought our first house in Oct. of 2012, and are just loving it!  We're looking forward to planing a garden here for the first time!  Dan is finishing up his first school year as a full time teacher at the high school this week.  Summer jobs and trips etc. are still in the planning stages.

These pictures are from this Easter 2013.

Fuzzy Baby O' Mine

My little Eric is already 7 months old, though his adjusted age is 5 months.  Since he came 2 mo. early its hard to know how old to really go with.  Either way, he's adorable and just needed to be photographed.  Here's some I took on the first nice day we had in weeks.  So we took the boys to the park and enjoyed the fresh crispy spring air.

How about Now

Life is one hurdle after another.  It seemed just when life was beginning to settle down with Eric finally coming home from the hospital and our family all together for the first time, before we had hardly caught our breathe we were jumping another hurdle.

Our dear little Eric is now 7 months old, and I am just now finally feeling like I can handle coming back to our blog.   Eric Murland.  I'm so glad we named him that.  Dan and I really wanted both our son's names to  fit them and be good strong names, but also to mean something.  I think we've succeeded.

It breaks my heart that Eric will never know his grandpa Murland, but I'm SO grateful that they got to meet each other in this life.   I'm so profoundly thankful that I got to know Murland and will be able to tell my son all about the man he's named after.   Eric will always be able to be proud of the legacy of the name that he bears and has as a standard to strive to live up to.

My Little Man's Two Year Old Pictures

I'm a bit of a picture addict and can always find an excuse to take a picture, but taking pictures of Gus to document his udder cute 2 year old little man-ness is a no brainer in my opinion. It just had to be done!  I was very happy with how great these turned out and how well Gus actually cooperated with me.  I guess he's used to it though ☺

Okay Mom, I'm done!  (I just love is angry face!)

Big 2

My little baby Gus, isn't a baby anymore.  He's now 2!  We kept it simple this year and had a nice little party with some friends and family at one of Gus' favorite places-Fort Sherman Park!

The first thing Gus did was take off to go play.  We saw this sight alot during the party...the back of Gus running off to go play again :)

As you  can see he had a lot of fun!

Everyone enjoying the yummy food and good company.

Gus got a bit scared and bashful when we all began to sing to him.

But he soon warmed up to looking at his cake when he saw the "fire".

Daddy helped him blow out his candles and lick off the yummy cream cheese frosting :)

Gus is SO in love with trains still, so we thought it was about time he got a real and nice train set.

He's literally obsessed with things that connect like trains, so he was very happy with his train gift!

He was very lucky and received many wonderful and nice gifts.

We are so in love with our wonderful little boy Gus, and are so very grateful and blessed to have him in our lives.
