We had a long visit up at my parents on Saturday. The kiddos had a blast....

First, we ventured out to the garden to pick flowers for a surprise for our other grandma. The garden was full of vibrant flowers and creepy crawlies. Little guy enjoyed cutting the flowers and Baby girl just enjoyed running around.

Of course while we were busy finding flowers, my husband was busy hunting....

In the end, he did come and join us. We found some amazing flowers and the end product turned out beautifully. However, you will not get to see a picture of it. I was all pictured out by the time it was finished.

Next, we went inside for some good food and cuddle time. Little guy was so funny and full of energy. I think Mama and Papa took a long nap after we left. My dad finally got to see just how rotten his baby girl can be and how much she picks on her brother!

Mom worked her magic and created a awesome arrangement for Kyle's mom (which she totally loved by the way).

After nap and more food, we found ourselves outside again.

Thanks for such a wonderful day. The kids always have the best time...

Turkey Run

It has been awhile since our trip to Turkey Run (June 2009) but I waned to share some of our memories with you.

We had a blast this year. The kids are at the age where they are curious and enjoy exploring. Weather was off and on(great some day and rainy other day) which is fine by us! Playing in the rain was just as much fun and hiking a trail.

Noah was able to feed a raccoon this year, ate his first s'more, and pooped in the woods!! The later being his most memorable. He still talks about it:) Audrey enjoy being outside and with everyone. She played in the arcade, ate alot of junk food, walk around bare foot, explore a playground with an awesome slide, and fell asleep during a night walk!

We have tons of fun when we go and plan going for many years to come.

Here is a picture from our 2008 trip to show you how much they have changed:

First Fishing Experience.....

Noah is blessed with many wonderful people in his life that want to share some of their hobbies and joys with him. Several of these people love to fish. Kyle and I are not crazy about the whole concept of fishing but we have agreed that it is important for Noah to be exposed to all different things and especially events that are shared with family. Family is very important to us and we want him to have many memories with all the wonderful people in our life. So we decided that he can go fishing as long as the fish are treated kindly and are released back into the creek.

In June, we were on our annual Turkey Run Vacation and he was able to go fishing. He enjoyed himself, but enjoyed "creekin" more. He also like throwing rocks in the creek which makes in incredibly hard to catch a fish! After many attempts and several hours, a fish was caught. Noah was impressed and talks about fishing often. He has been one other time this season with Uncle Mike!

Sleepy girl....

She refused to get up one morning. I put on her diaper and jeans it didn't phase her. Needless to say we were late for school that morning.

More Birthday Celebration!!

On Little Guy's actual birthday, we took him to his all time favorite place....OLIVE GARDEN! Other wise know as the OG. He loves this place. We asked him where he would like to go eat for his birthday and he replied "Olive Garden." In his tone was "DUH, where else."

After dinner, we went to Toys-r-us for him to spend his birthday money. He did rather well. He knew what he wanted and didn't change him mind a million times. He picked out a Wolverine glove and a Planet Heroes ship.

After the toy store, we went home and gave him the gift from us and Baby girl gave him the gift from her. We bought him a bike, which kind of big for him. Baby girl got him a dragon for his castle. He loved his dragon. His knights have been fighting it alot since his birthday. Here are some photos...

Yes, if you look in the background of one of the photos you will see baby girl crying her eyes out. She was so upset. She wanted to sit on the bike!

CornStartch + Green water + mess= Lots and Lots of fun....

One evening we decided to do "Science Exploration". The kids had alot of fun and was busy for an hour. Little guys started by spraying water onto cornstartch. As it became more saturated in water, the mixture turned into goop! Oh so messy...It was all over from table to floor and up to elbows. Even daddy got in on the action! If you haven't tried this, you must very soon. You don't know what you're missing.

Look at me, I'm three....

It's official...Little guy is now 3. I can't believe it. It seems like I just gave birth to him and now he is a little man. We had tons of fun and lots of celebrations.

To start off the celebrating, we had a birthday party at our house from friends and family. It was a lot of fun! (A pain to plan and get the house ready, but worth it!)

We provided different activities out in the back yard for all the kiddos. The weather did cooperate and we are so thankful. All those people inside are house would have been total craziness! We decided to do a pinata this year and it was a blast....

All the kids were very excited about the dino pinata. We started with the smaller ones and moved to the older ones. It was hard to break so each child got 2 turns.

Noah was giggling and laughing the whole time. We do need to work on his swing. He was afraid to hit it. I think he may have thought he would get into some trouble if he broke it.

Even baby girl needed to get in on the action. She was so cute about it too. She just kind of poked it with the bat!

The big, big kids also joined in the fun!

Finally, after awhile the loot was broken into.. Little Guy liked all the bugs and worms. He did manage to get on sucker!

After all the fun, we broke into the cupcakes and opened presents.

It was a great day. We are so thankful for everyone coming to the party and making it a day to remember!

More birthday post to come. We have lots more to share...
