7 bucks and a bad hair cut later...

Why is it that I've always come back from the barber with this unsettling sense of regret? This time I returned with this rather jarring side shaven look with too much hair on top. Perhaps my instructions to the uncle wasn't clear... Perhaps this was the reason why he only charges 7 bucks... Perhaps I have gotten what I deserved for being a cheap-skate... Anyhow, I will now have to settle with an over-rated ala-circa-late2002-Beckham-mohawk for the next month or so. Oh god... the spiking glue I'll have to buy.

The Anal (Retentive) Singaporean

Been back from Thailand for a week already. Apparently while I was away, there was this big hoohaa about a certain anal principal being so crossed at her students for bringing porn to school that she called the police on them. They're teenage boys, of course they are watching porn! You expect them to be practicing yoga or pilating in their spare time is it?! (NB: I've recently decided that the verb for doing pilates is to pilate [pee-late] and hence the continuous tense of that would be pilating [pee-late-thing])

And then some 'experts' came out in the Sunday times to say that "teenagers must understand that porn is bad because it portrays women in a derogatory manner". First of, so prostitution on the other hand is the pinnacle of feminism is it? Why else is that legal in Singapore? Second, the porn I watch is usually 'women optional' thank you. Singaporeans can always find new ways to be inexplicably anal...the irony.
