Silly Summer

This is a random post of pictures from our summer so far.  We were lucky to have Dan's parents come visit us. It is always fun to see family especially when you live so far away.

We actually got to have one date night this summer! Yay! Thanks for family babysitting!
Vicksburg Murals in downtown are really amazing.

Rustin our friend was in Alabama for work and came to visit us as well.
Dan was thrilled to have him and they golfed a lot.
Movie time at Madagascar 3.  We also went to Brave
Dan's brother Tim was in UT from California so Dan was able to fly home to UT for a few days to spend time with his brothers and family. He had a good time and we definitely missed him.

Happy Father's Day to the best daddy in the world.  Love you DH!
Dan at his job in the 102 degree weather plus humidity. Not fun! Dan built this shade area so they have a break space. This is a retaining wall along the Mississippi River so the building won't fall in the water.

These are just pics of our crazy girls and how silly they are. We sure love them and this picture where they tongue touch reminds me of my little sister Katie and I.  We would do that too!

Lost Kitten

We were at the park one day and the girls were playing and I heard a meow that broke my heart.  I looked over and saw this little kitten and she had the saddest meow.  She went and hid from us and we pulled the kitty out and she was so scarred and skinny.  Kaymbree held the kitty and said "mommy I love her".  I decided to take her home with us.  We went straight to the store and got it some food and the girls were so excited.  The kitty ate so much food and then fell asleep for like 4 hours! Poor thing was so tired and hungry.  My girls loved it and it was so cute to watch them play with it.  Unfortunately I am allergic to cats and I didn't even realize how allergic until we had it for a day.  Plus, we are in MS and are going back to UT in a month.  So it wasn't realistic for us to keep the kitten so we took it to the kitty rescue at the local animal shelter.

It was so fun to have this cute kitten for a day and Kennedy cried so hard when we gave it away.  It broke my heart.  So maybe in the future we could get a dog.

Land of the Free, Because of the Brave!

Our 4th of July was fun with our girls. Unfortunately Dan had to work that day (lame I know) but the girls and I were busy in the day at the park and pool. I thought the girls looked adorable in their outfits so we had a little photoshoot with them.  Easier said then done!

Red cheeks from playing hard at the park and some ice cream to follow. What could be better?

Then we were able to go to the fireworks with daddy on the Mississippi River. Now I am in love with the Idaho Falls fireworks and anyone who has seen them knows what I am talking about.  You really can't compare any firework show to the IF one.  But the show here was a lot better than expected.  We had fun and the girls loved them. They didn't cry at all.  Kennedy just would look up and point and say "Wow".  Kaymbree watched but was plugging her ears the whole time.  We had a fun and are so thankful for our country that we live in.  Land of the Free, Because of the Brave!

Our attempt at a family picture. The craziness continues!

Love my man DH!
Now these are the huge bug bites that I got in the first 10 minutes of me going outside.  They even got bigger than in these pictures. They itch so bad and I could hardly sleep! And today they are like swollen like a softball around the bites.  Gross I know. But I hate the bugs down here in the south and these pictures are the proof!
