Kimball River rapids

My sister and I went tubing down Kimball river. It was kind of fast for my liking but still lots of fun. We weren't brave enough to chance the rapids so we got dropped off after the "meat grinder" section. I was okay with that. We floated for an hour or so. It is so beautiful there and there were lots of kids out cliff jumping. Good thing those old tire tubes didn't pop on us.

We went for a nice little outing to the Remington Carriage center. First we had lunch on the patio, then we toured the museum, then we went for a carriage ride around the country side. It is such a lovely and quaint little place. Cardston is really quite a nice town, uncrowded and has a 'little house on the prairie' feel to it. The kids love going there.
We were the only ones on the carriage ride, the horses got kind of spooked in the middle, so the girls held on tight, and so did I.
These clydesdales were being bathed for the Stirling parade tommorow. They are very gentle, but heaven forbid if one were to accidentally step on your foot.

It was a fun day. We spent all afternoon there, it is very intriguing if you are a person who appreciates history and antiques.

Adventures in Canada thus far......

My sisters and I and all our bajillion kids went to Waterton Lakes National Park one day and we were so lucky to see this big honker moose. We were roasting salmon and hotdogs in the camp kitchen when the kids asked if they could run down to the lake to play. I had a feeling at first to just let them run off. Then I had a particular feeling that they shouldn't be alone so I went with them. Then Maysa had to use the washroom so I left with her. So Al came down to stay with the kids. Not more than a minute later, this gigantor moose comes out of the bushes and into the water. We watched it for a while and really kept a distance. It was a neat occurence.

These bikes are such a blast, we rented them for half hour but wished we would have had them longer. Elena and I and Maggie went on one and we were the fastest by far...... :)

Who doesn'l love ice cream in waterton. They loaded them up too big. We played at this beautiful little creek for a while. The weather was A plus.

We took 10 kids on a 1.6 mile hike. They did really good. We got to see
Blakiston falls at the end.

Ellie held Maysa's hand for the entire hike. It was really cute. Ellie is 2

years older but they are almost the same size.
