Southern Cali Vacation

Last week we met up with all of Dan's family and spent 4 days in San Diego and 3 days at Disneyland! It was so much fun to see all of our family and spend time in some of our favorite places. Jack was ecstatic about hanging out with his cousins!

While in San Diego we took a ferry ride out to Coronado Island.

We spent a day at Sea World. Jack and Addie had fun riding around together.

We weren't sure who Shivers the polar bear was, but the kids thought he was cool Checking out the star fish in the tide pool

I think this is one of my favorite pictures from the trip!

While in San Diego we checked out some new places to eat. Con Pane was a cool bakery that had yummy breads and sandwiches. For dinner one night we went to Blue Water Seafood Market and Grill. They had the best fish tacos we have ever had! If you are ever in La Jolla and want to catch a delicious breakfast you have to check out Konos. We spent a morning at the beach and the kids had a fun treasure hunt in the sand! The kids didn't let the 60 degree weather stop them from getting in the water. Couldn't leave San Diego without checking out the temple

Disneyland has been talked about for months around our house and it didn't disappoint. This is Jack's face when he saw the Disney castle when we were walking down main street. Jack got to meet a bunch of his favorite characters, it was a highlight for sure.

Jack took Opa on the Dumbo ride for his first time.

Daddy and Jack hanging out with Chip n' Dale

Jack and Gage couldn't get enough of Lightening McQueen and Mater! We visited them several times over the couple days we were there.

All the excitement can be draining on a little kid. On the way back to our hotel Jack fell asleep on Dan's shoulders!

One of my favorite things of the week was when a couple of us went to UCLA and saw Itzhak Perlman in concert! He is an amazing volinist and I felt privileged to see him perfom. The week went by way too fast and we were sad to say goodbye to all our family. At least once a day Jack asks when we can go back to Disneyland :)

The Biggest Little City in the World

Dan had a work conference in Reno, NV for 10 days. Instead of being left behind Jack and I decided it would be fun to join him! What do you do in Reno, NV for 10 days you may ask? Well we found lots to keep us busy! I wasn't very good at taking pictures, but here are a few.

We did the mile walk around Virginia Lake. It was 20 degrees F outside!

Jack experienced his first game of bowling. I loved our matching shoes. Who knew they had little kid bowling shoes? Jack even got a strike!

I highly recommend visiting the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum. Very cool children's museum with lots of hands on activities. Making tents in our hotel room

After visiting the University of Nevada's Planetarium Jack won't stop talking about space rockets and plants!

We got to eat out at some new restaurants during our stay. Two of my favorites were: Blue Moon Gourmet Pizza and Naan and Kabab (Mediterranean food).

We had a fun time in Reno, however after 10 days of living in a hotel and eating out we were glad to be going back home!

Tis the Season

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving week. On Monday we went in for my ultrasound and found out that we are having a baby girl! Her due date is April 14th. On Wednesday our friends came to spend Thanksgiving with us. Dan brined our turkey this year, it was delicious!
The boys had their own little turkey bowl

On Friday we went to the research farm Dan works at and picked strawberries and apples

The kids ate as they picked

The kids found Tyler quite entertaining with his juggling skills

Over the weekend we went and picked up our christmas tree

We got out our christmas decor as well. Jack loves to play with his nativity set!

Everytime we turn on the lights Jack looks up in amazement and says, "Wow". Christmas is a magical time, you remember that when you have a child!

How a Shark Trick or Treats...

This was Jack's first year going trick or treating door to door. I explained to him the process that morning and he just looked at me confused and said, "and they give me candy?". That night it all made sense and it was a little boys dream come true! Jack was a shark this year. He thought it was cool that the shark was "eating him". Side view:
We went with some of our friends, they all were so cute :)

Jack and his buddy Crew were quite the candy collecting pair. I was amazed that these 2 year olds walked for 2 hours straight.

Checking out his stash at the end of the night.

Learning how to suck, not bite a sucker.

And that my friends, is how a shark goes trick or treating!
