Enchanted...

So Close - Jon McLaughlin

You're in my arms
And all the world is gone
The music playing on
For only two
So close together

And when I'm with you
So close to feeling alive

A life goes by
Romantic dreams must die
So I bid mine goodbye
And never knew
So close was waiting
Waiting here with you
And now, forever, I know
All that I want is to hold you
So close

So close to reaching
That famous happy ending
Almost believing
This one's not pretending
Now you're beside me
And look how far we've come
So far
We are
So close

Oh, how could I face the faceless days
If I should lose you now?

We're so close to reaching
That famous happy ending
Almost believing
This was not pretend
Let's go on dreaming
Though we know we are
So close
So close, and still
So far

So romanticccccccccc.....awwwwwwwwwwwwww...must watch the movie again!!

Beethoven rocks!!!!

So, since i've been wasting for 3 days, I've been watching movies and listening to music n surfing and sleeping. The latest movie i watched is Copying Beethoven.

This is from the fourth movement of Beethoven's Symphony no.9:
Text of fourth movement
Words written by Beethoven (not Schiller) are shown in italics.

German original
O Freunde, nicht diese Töne!
Sondern laßt uns angenehmere
anstimmen und freudenvollere.
Freude! Freude!
Freude, schöner Götterfunken
Tochter aus Elysium,
Wir betreten feuertrunken,
Himmlische, dein Heiligtum!
Deine Zauber binden wieder
Was die Mode streng geteilt;
Alle Menschen werden Brüder,
Wo dein sanfter Flügel weilt.
Wem der große Wurf gelungen,
Eines Freundes Freund zu sein;
Wer ein holdes Weib errungen,
Mische seinen Jubel ein!
Ja, wer auch nur eine Seele
Sein nennt auf dem Erdenrund!
Und wer's nie gekonnt, der stehle
Weinend sich aus diesem Bund!
Freude trinken alle Wesen
An den Brüsten der Natur;
Alle Guten, alle Bösen
Folgen ihrer Rosenspur.
Küsse gab sie uns und Reben,
Einen Freund, geprüft im Tod;
Wollust ward dem Wurm gegeben,
Und der Cherub steht vor Gott.
Froh, wie seine Sonnen fliegen
Durch des Himmels prächt'gen Plan,
Laufet, Brüder, eure Bahn,
Freudig, wie ein Held zum Siegen.
Seid umschlungen, Millionen!
Diesen Kuß der ganzen Welt!
Brüder, über'm Sternenzelt
Muß ein lieber Vater wohnen.
Ihr stürzt nieder, Millionen?
Ahnest du den Schöpfer, Welt?
Such' ihn über'm Sternenzelt!
Über Sternen muß er wohnen.
Finale repeats the words:
Seid umschlungen, Millionen!
Diesen Kuß der ganzen Welt!
Brüder, über'm Sternenzelt
Muß ein lieber Vater wohnen.
Seid umschlungen,
Diesen Kuß der ganzen Welt!
Freude, schöner Götterfunken
Tochter aus Elysium,
Freude, schöner Götterfunken

English translation
Oh friends, not these tunes!
Rather let us sing more
cheerful and more joyful ones.
Joy! Joy!
Joy, beautiful spark of the gods,
Daughter of Elysium,
Touched with fire, to the portal,
Of thy radiant shrine, we come.
Your sweet magic frees all others,
Held in Custom's rigid rings.
All men on earth become brothers,
In the haven of your wings.
Whoever succeeds in the great attempt
To be a friend of a friend,
Whoever has won a lovely woman,
Let him add his jubilation!
Yes, whoever calls even one soul
His own on the earth's globe!
And who never has, let him steal,
Weeping, away from this group.
All creatures drink joy
At the breasts of nature;
All the good, all the evil
Follow her roses' trail.
Kisses gave she us, and wine,
A friend, proven unto death;
Pleasure was to the worm granted,
And the cherub stands before God.
Glad, as his suns fly
Through the Heavens' glorious plan,
Run, brothers, your race,
Joyful, as a hero to victory.
Be embraced, you millions!
This kiss for the whole world!
Brothers, beyond the star-canopy
Must a loving Father dwell.
Do you bow down, you millions?
Do you sense the Creator, world?
Seek Him beyond the star-canopy!
Beyond the stars must He dwell.
Finale repeats the words:
Be embraced, ye millions!
This kiss for the whole world!
Brothers, beyond the star-canopy
Must a loving Father dwell.
Be embraced,
This kiss for the whole world!
Joy, beautiful spark of the gods,
Daughter of Elysium,
Joy, beautiful spark of the gods

So semangat man the song! wahahahah...been listening to it over and over again....wahahahah....

I should study....soon...

What's your travel temptation?

Phoebe, you want a vacation with Surf & Sand Go ahead — hit the sand! While some people might claim that lounging on a beach for days is boring, a sun worshipper like you knows better. Of course, there is plenty of opportunity to catch some zzz's or relax with a good (or fantastically bad) read, but you know the options for getting off your bum are endless too. Surfing, sailing, snorkeling, sandcastle-building, snuggling — whether it's on the beaches of Corpus Christi or on South Padre Island — what isn't better when done waterside?

Who cares if you've got a plan or not — it doesn't matter to you as long as you're getting a healthy dose of vitamin D. So come on in, the water's fine!

--------------------------

Another test! wahahahaha I'm too free :P

What turns you on?

Phoebe, a Big Brain turns you on A new independent film? CNN? The Economist? Sexy, huh? Chances are, with your smarts, and love of a challenge, something along these lines probably gets you going. Whatever your passion, you're looking for that same love of learning and curiosity about the world from your romantic partner.

For you, the hottest thing around can be dressed as a math whiz, a tech geek, or a college professor, just as long as they have the brain power — and, um, stamina — to go the distance with you. Mental connections and sparring matches give you the challenges you need to get turned on. Love poems, pumped-up abs, moonlit walks on the beach — take 'em or leave 'em, you've got your eyes on the IQ prize. After all, the sexiest thing going are smarts.

Did this test on tickle.com. wahahahah

Futsal rocks!

On Tuesday Night my CG went to play futsal. I've never played before, and I've only seen people play it on that show Gol & Gincu (lame as it was, it was quite entertaining!) It was really fun! We didn't bother to warm up, and 18 people were everywhere, kicking and chasing people. The interesting thing is, one person managed to get injured even before the game started! Wahahahaahhaa! Minor injuries la ok, and that injured person kept on playing! Hooray! Haven't sweat that much in a long time..it was really fun! =D Definitely will be going to play futsal again!

On Friday after my Fluids lab the same injured person wanted to go for McD's breakfast thingys (u know, the one where u use the coupons :P) and also do her laundry so we went, ate, and came back with clean warm clothes. Then that fella cannot sit at home quietly so we decided to explore The Pavilion, the latest shopping mall to hit Jalan Bukit Bintang. I was surfing around and found out that where The Pavilion stands now used to be Bukit Bintang Girls School (BBGS), before it changed its name to SMK Seri Bintang Utama, relocated to Cheras and became lame. Hahahaha. Anyway that place is so new and there's lots of renovations still going on, you can smell the dust! ewww...not very healthy..something unexpected happened though, at around 3.50pm, there was a blackout! We were on an escalator and when it suddenly stopped, and we almost fell! Luckily we were holding the handrail so we didn't fall. Never thought that would happen. Never thought about an escalator suddenly stopping and inertia causing me to fall. Lesson here: always hold the handrail when you're on escalators. After quite some time the blackout still lasted, so we headed back to Times Square (we parked the car there). Overall, The Pavilion is a nice place, with 7 floors and high end stores (not surprising, looking at the locality) . Won't be going back there soon, but maybe someday to have a look again when all the stores are open. Here are some pics of the place (started snapping after the blackout, good thing it happened during the day!)

I Got It From My Mama

Artist: Will.I.Am
Song: I Got It From My Mama

Lyrics:

Ladies… x3
Here we go…

Baby where’d you get your body from?
Tell me where’d you get your body from.
Baby where’d you get your body from?
Tell me where’d you get your body from.
I got it from my mama.
I got it from my mama.
I got it from my mama.
I got it got it got got it…

Baby where’d you get your body from?
Tell me where’d you get your body from.
Baby where’d you get your body from?
Tell me where’d you get your body from.
I got it from my mama.
I got it from my mama.
I got it from my mama.
I got it got it…

Honey lookin’ good from her head to her toe.
Beauty overload, body out of control.
She twenty-four, she could be a model.
So beautiful, also natural.
Mommy lookin’ good from her head to her feet.
She forty-four, but she still lookin’ sweet.
And you can tell her daughter aint even at her peak.
Cause her mama lookin’ so hot, packin’ that heat.
So be a good girl and thank your mama.
She make me steamin’ like a sauna.
Look out, look out, here she come now.
Look out, look out, here she come.

Girl, your beauty is a sensation.
You sittin’ in, in a temptation.
I never knew a girl could shine like a sun.
You better thank your mama, cause girl, you the one.
We should have a date of celebration.
Celebration god’s best creation.
Girl you got a beautiful vibration.
Everyday should be your birthday, Hun.
You make the guys all dumb.
Maybe cause you’re blessed with the beautiful buns.
Maybe cause your beauty keep the dudes on sprung,
Wondering just where you got that from?
Baby where’d you get your body from?
Tell me where’d you get your body from.
Baby where’d you get your body from?
Tell me where’d you get your body from.
I got it from my mama.
I got it from my mama.
I got it from my mama.
I got it got it got got it…

Baby where’d you get your body from?
Tell me where’d you get your body from.
Baby where’d you get your body from?
Tell me where’d you get your body from.
You can tell all this right here,
I got all this from my mama…
All of this stuff right here,
I got all this from my mama.

Ladies... x7
Here we go…

If the girl real fine,
Nine times out of ten,
She fine just like her mama.

If the girl real pretty,
Nine times out of ten,
She pretty like her mama.

And if her mama real ugly,
I guarantee ya she gon’ be ugly like her mama.

And if her mama real ugly,
I guarantee ya she gon’ be ugly like her mama.

If the girl real sexy,
Nine times out of ten,
She sexy like her mama.

If the girl real hot,
Nine times out of ten,
She hot just like her mama.

And if her mama real ugly,
I guarantee ya she gon’ be ugly like her mama.

And if her mama real ugly,
I guarantee ya she gon’ be ugly like her mama, like her mama…

Baby where’d you get your body from?
Tell me where’d you get your body from.
Baby where’d you get your body from?
Tell me where’d you get your body from.
You can tell all this right here,
I got all this from my mama…
All of this stuff right here,
I got all this from my mama.

If you pretty, make some noise.
If you pretty, make some noise.
If you pretty, make some noise.
Make some noise, make some noise.

Ladies… x4

50 years of Independence...

...doesn't really mean much to me. Mainly because I don't really know what it was like to be ruled by the British. Sometimes it makes me wonder what it would be like if we are still ruled by the British. Probably won't have this much food around. Hahaha..anyway I spent Merdeka eve reading blogs on Malaysian politics n stuff on Nathaniel Tan's blog and Marina Mahathir's blog. There are so many things happening in our country and somehow the important ones escape attention. I've said this many times before that I hate poltics. Mainly because it's such a stupid thing. All people want nowadays are power and money. NOthing else matters anymore. And then we get all the so-called leaders who say dumb things, mainly because they're not-very-educated. Honestly. Seriously. We have the keris-waving leader, and the blogger-catching leaders to the if-you-don't-like-it-then-get-out-of-Malaysia leader. We wonder what's happening to the world when in our own country these leaders are a wonder in their own right. I'm pretty sure if you ask around most people would jump at the opportunity to migrate. It's not that our country sucks, its a beautiful country. But what pisses us off is the fact that we have terrible leaders. Not to say that the grass is super green on the other side, other countries have their issues too, but I think their leaders are not this dumb. The one thing that makes us special and makes us proud of ourselves is the fact that we are multi-racial. But somehow this is now our dividing factor. Everything now boils down to your race, and even more, religion. Nobody is safe anymore. The constitution has been twisted, leaders are becoming more religious (not a bad thing if they weren't so hardcore freaky creepy everyone-must-wear-tudung kind of people).

But then again, maybe we get lousy leaders because the people who actually should be leaders stay away from politics because well, basically, politics suck. Even if you start off with good intentions you end up sucked into the political vortex and before you even realize it, you're in too deep.

If only leaders would do what they're supposed to do. Like increase growth, development and so on. I guess their life is so boring that they have to go into corruption, or make the longest satay or biggest mooncake or something like that.

Not many people do things to make others happy anymore. Most do what they do because of what they get out of it, which is not wrong, but is it really satisfactory?

I can only hope someday I can do something to change the things around me, if not the world.

Oh my, I've been ranting again.

Happy Merdeka people!
50 years, don't play play!

Le Festin (From Ratatouille)

Lyrics to Le Festin, sung by Camille

Un voleur, solitaire, est triste à nourrir (this is a pun off of 'triste à mourrir' and 'nourrir'; see here)

The Feast (translation of Le Festin)

The dreams of lovers are like good wine
They give joy or even sorrow
Weakened by hunger, I am unhappy
Stealing on my way everything I can
Because nothing in life is free.

Hope is a dish too soon finished
I am accustomed to skipping meals
A thief alone and hungry is sad enough to die (This isn't a direct translation at all, but it's the best way I could think of to explain the pun)
As for us, I am bitter, I want to succeed
Because nothing in life is free.

Never will they tell me that I cannot shoot for the stars;
Let me fill you with wonder, let me take flight
We will finally fea . . . st.

The party will finally start
And bring out the bottles, the troubles are over
I'm setting the table; tomorrow is a new life
I am happy at the idea of this new destiny
A life spent in hiding, and now I'm finally free
The feast is on my path
A life spent in hiding, and now I'm finally free
The feast is on my path. . . .

I love Frenchhhhhhhhhhhh =)

Need to do my work

I need to do some work. Got quite a few assignments and gotta research on a project, but I haven't really dug into it yet. Did a little info digging but haven't really started on the sketches. Somehow when you're at home work doesn't make sense. Hahahahaha. Anyway I really needed this break. Been so stressed doin all kinds of crap I was beginning to feel lifeless. After coming home, everything else goes away, and I get to read, play the piano (which I suck at) and sleep as long as I want (yeah i know that's not good :P)

Been having a good rest, feeling energized already and looking forward to Penang this weekend! =)

Perspective

Oh my, it has been over a month since I blogged!! hmmm...been really busy...lotsa assigments n tests n stuff to do! I'm so glad the mid sem break is here!!! =)

Just arrived home at around 5pm, then had to do lotsa cleaning cause the floor was so dusty! Parents were in KL so I was home alone for a few hours. went back with WZ to Sitiawan first yesterday then followed my sis home today. She n her friends came to lepak in Ipoh. HAhaha..since Sitiawan no entertainment. :P

Anyway the title of today's post is perspective because it has been a long time since I drove past small towns and so on. Usually its just highway after highway, and then I reach Ipoh. Last time I had to go through Bidor and Teluk Intan and so on. So it has been quite a while since I looked at old buildings in small towns and spacious paddy fields. It made me think. I'm so used to the hustle n bustle of KL, what would happen if I got a job in a really small town? Hmmmm....I'd probably be bored to death. Hahahaha. Even though I'm a boring person (sometimes lazy to go out, antisocial, not very exciting) I think I would be travelling alot. Out of that town. HAhahahahaha. Anyway, its always good to look at things from a different perspective. Gives you ideas that you never thought you'd think of. So, keep thinking!

milk eggs vodka!

Sorry for the lack of updates for the past few weeks, but I've been out alot and whenever I'm at the computer I'm just busy doing something!

Anyway last Saturday I went to Borders in Times Square and bought a book titled "milk eggs vodka", which is written by Bill Keaggy. I've been looking out for this book ever since I read about it on Reader's Digest, and when I got my hands on the book I was excited! Plus there was a 20% discount so I was very pleased! :P Why I'm so excited? It's cause its a book that's categorized under humor (I don't think I have ever owned a book that's in that category!), and this guy has collected a ton of people's grocery lists and sorted them out and chose those really crazy ones and commented on them, and included interesting facts on the side. It's a book you would want to read when you're bored or want to laugh at people's spelling. Oops....was that mean? hahahaha...but at the end you feel that grocery lists should be safely guarded and not left in shopping carts!

I bought 3 other books, and they're so thick I dunno when I should start reading! (especially since my assignments and work start to pile up.) Gah!

Gotta go do my lab report...

Australiaaaa

So 7 days and lots of rain later, I'm back to blog about the Australia trip!Sorry it took so long, but I always think of what to put on my blog but I'm too lazy to type it out...i should get a "instant blog thought typer" or something like that...:P

There are alot of things about Australia that I learned and experienced. Among the first few things that I learned as soon as I arrived there (I reached there about 7.30pm) are:

1. sitting in the back seat? Strap up!
2. It gets dark by 5pm and there's no nightlife (what?! no way!)
3. Petrol prices are not fixed, so everyday there's a new price, and different stations have different prices.
4. Queensland state is experiencing severe drought. It's been 2 years and the dam levels are around 18% left only! So...no need to bathe!
5. The people are really friendly at counters: they greet you with "Hi, how are you".

And not forgetting what I missed while being abroad for 2 weeks:

1. Our PM getting married (really?? no hint also man!!...or maybe i din read the papers :P)
2. It's been raining alot!

We stayed at my mom's cousin's place in The Gap, Brisbane (The Gap is the suburb, which is almost like a taman but not a taman...) for the first few days we explored Brisbane (we went to the city center, museum, shopping mall..etc), and then we went to Toowoomba where my mom's friend whom she hasn't seen for 30 odd years resides. Australia, or rather Queensland is a really nice place. Their houses are one of a kind and they have loads of space! And then we went back to Brisbane, and then went off to the Gold Coast(one week)! Surfer's Paradise, that is. We rented a car for one week (me n sis couldn't drive cause insurance is more expensive for drivers under 25) and drove to:
1. Australian Outback Spectacular - awesome show! With a 3 course dinner samo! A must go to see life in the outback.
2. Movieworld - Cool place, with all the rides and cute buildings and movie characters and shows!
3. SeaWorld - Oh so many animals and great dolphin shows, fun rides and many more shows!
4. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary - It rained the day we went there (hasn't rained for a long time if im not mistaken), and all the kangaroos n koalas were wet. It's a really big place, but we saw alot of kangaroos only, I think the other animals were hiding from the rain.

After the Gold Coast, we went back to Brisbane, then the uncle we stayed with drove us to Mount Coot-tha. We got to see a whole lot of Brisbane from up there. The next day we went to the Australia Zoo. Yeah, that place The Crocodile Hunter comes from. After visiting the zoo I really admire their efforts to preserve the animal kingdom, but I still think he shouldn't have bullied animals when he made the tv series. There was a section under the crocoseum that was dedicated to Steve Irwin, displaying the stuff people sent after his death, condolence messages n stuff.

The next day (Sunday) we hung around in Brisbane, explored the area, especially Queen Street Mall. It's basically rows of shops and where i think it used to be a road, its now a road for people! With plants n chairs and info kiosks. I really love their bus service. They're organized and people actually line up over there! Their buses look like our RapidKL buses, but are powered by natural gas! So bye-bye to black smoke and hello to clean air! Oh and their city is so clean! Really! So clean and developed and organized! I would definitely move there if I had the chance. Although things there are a little expensive (branded clothes are super expensive but they have sales of up to 70%!!), I think if you're earning in Australian dollars it shouldn't be too bad. I think most of the items are more expensive now because of the drought. On the last day (Monday 11th June) we went to DFO, which stands for Direct Factory Outlet. It's near the Brisbane Airport and as the name says, is where they have almost all the brands you can think of. And when we went it was the mid season sale so alot of things were on sale, and we just shopped till we dropped! :P

On Monday night it was goodbye Brisbane and we headed home. It was a night flight and I didn't get much sleep (in between they serve snacks n breakfast and I ate em all :P) reached home around 2pm on Tuesday and that was the day I slept at 4pm until 5am the next morning!

It was a really good vacation, and if anyone plans to go to Australia do let me know, cause I absolutely wanna go there again! (To Sydney?)

Will post up pictures later, took more than 1GB of pics and I haven't sorted em out yet!

Toodles!

I'm baaaaaaaaccccccckkkkkkk!!

Back from Australia, the great continent or outback or whatever :P It's a really nice country! I didn't wanna come back!!

Got loads of stuff to clear and clothes to wash. After we came back we had to clean the floor (got dead bugs and it was dusty) and then unpack and it was so tiring!! I slept from 4pm to 5am this morning!! Wahlau!!

Will update on Australia soon. Just let me recover from travelling...=)

Banana Java Chip Frappucino!!!

That was my breakfast. Hahaha..A VERY EXPENSIVE breakfast, that is. RM16.80 for venti! Pokai man! But it's all good..=) Went to Ipoh Parade's Novelhut to sell some books. (After sending off my aunt from TI who was here visiting for a few days) Managed to get RM18.00 (dad said we could keep whatever we got and it only managed to cover the drink..sad sad...). But it's all good. Hehehe...after selling the books we did some window shopping. Nothing interesting happened the rest of the day, just coming back home and getting excited about Australia! teehee!

Been listening to 2 songs recently, one Not Ready to Make Nice by the Dixie Chicks and Never Again by Kelly Clarkson. Damn cunted songs wei! hahahaha.

Hmm..so another season of American Idol ended. Not bad I think, considering how I never really followed the show, I learned about Sanjaya, Indian guy who I think with training can sing much better. He's not bad or horrible at singing, but I guess not very expressive with his voice..like he's afraid his voice is gonna run away or something...hahaha..so after watching the season finale I searched faithful Youtube and got a whole bunch of videos of his performances...hehe..see, don't have to follow the show ma..just watch the finale and search YouTube for everything else :P

Anyway gonna listen to more Kelly and Dixie Chicks. And maybe Sheryl Crow (Good is Good) =)

Why i dislike politics

So I read on 2 ppl's blog about the recent parliament kekecohan (see la got paper never read go n read ppl's blog :P) In this article its mentioned that Lim Kit Siang posted the video on his blog and also on YouTube. Which is when I went n sampated around YouTube and searched for "Malaysian Parliament" and wow! So many videos! Some interesting ones:

1. Samy Vellu shouting in Parliament(to do with the tol raise)
2. Two Sexist BN mps- "Batu Gajah MP tiap-tiap bulan pun bocor"

and the best of all

"You tak suka you keluar dari Malaysia!"
Imagine, people representing us shouting that to other leaders. Sad man. Something to do with Malaysia being an Islamic country.

Oh and the comments are funny too. Some don't make sense cause their command of the language is just so bad, but they still know how to come to YouTube. Not bad leh! haha!

At the end of the article its said " The Dewan was adjourned sine dine on Thursday." I think they meant sine die. Wanna use word check first mah! Tsk tsk.

Enjoy!

p.s. Malaysia gonna be 50 years old, but the people are still dumb. How? Vision 2020 can reach ah?

Reading the tabloids is fun!

I've been reading online tabloids for a while. Like during the while i have before the clothes spin dry or the while i have waiting for the floor to dry. It started out when I wanted to read more on Prince William's breakup - here's a link about Tony Blair asking people to leave them alone (sampat i know! :P) and so i searched and there was this one website called hecklerspray, where judging from its name itself you'd know that they share the news with loads of sarcasm, funny phrases and so on. At least they're bluntly honest. hahaha.

A heckler is a person who shouts an uninvited comment, usually disparaging, at a performance or event, or interrupting set-piece speeches, for example at a political meeting. A heckler is almost always regarded as unwelcome by the person with justifiable claim to be the centre of attention. The audience too may find the interruption an unwanted distraction; however they may sometimes find the interjection amusing or apposite.

The one thing that was mentioned in all the Prince William (or any member of the royal family) is that they're "swan-eaters". Hmm...u can just go on for hours reading what they have to say, and i couldn't help laughing at some bits. Just click on all the links on that link above and you'll see why. tee hee!

Anyway the most fun part is reading about how dumb these people are. Famous filthy rich people. Famous filthy rich foreign people. Because Malaysians are usually dumb in big stuff, like politics or wanting to build something so absurdly big and useless its like a white elephant. So these famous filthy rich foreign people are people like Paris Hilton getting so drunk that she pissed in a taxi, Britney Spears getting desperate after divorce and so on. Now that's what I say plain dumb. And a cure is nowhere to be seen!

How Outgoing Am I?

How Outgoing Are You?
The Extroversion Quotient

by Edward Hoffman, PhD
Monster Contributing Writer

Extroversion Score : 55

You’re moderate on extroversion.
In today’s workplace, this puts you in the middle regarding this sought-after trait. Introducing yourself, meeting different people and being part of a team are OK for you; you’re not perceived as shy. While you don’t crave the opportunity to lead meetings or initiate contact with unfamiliar people, you can do it if asked. Your personal network is of average size. Generally, though not always, others can read your emotions and know where you stand. You’ll achieve greatest success in jobs -- such as healthcare, legal work, consumer research and quality control -- that offer a mixture of people-contact and solo activity.

Freeloadin'

And so this is the first weekday back at home. Had to wake up early cause had to follow dad to work, sis had an interview at some dusty computer shop at around 11am and then we were goin to Sitiawan. (Sis had dental appointment at 3pm) While waiting for the interview we had breakfast at the mamak-like shop at the ground floor of dad's workplace (lawyer's office always not on the ground floor ma) and i had 2 teh tarik! 2 wei!! oh my! and of course i had roti telur :P and then while on the way to sitiawan i was feelin a little nauseous n stuff :S but it was bearable. Im blamin it on too much tea :P. And then we reached Sitiawan, then did some errands, and then went to McD's for lunch! (Macam ipoh takde :P) Lucky nobody i know (or nobody who knows me) was working there...if not i'll be famous again...ahhaahha...

Justnow i tried to play Beethoven's piano sonata no 8 "Pathetique". Really nice song, been listening to the recording, and I hope someday I can actually play a decent version of at least one movement (out of three). See...my standard very low wan :P Anyway i kinda sucked, but i don't really follow the timing on the music sheet but i kinda memorise the tempo from the recordings..and i think i suck mainly cause i didn't trim my nails, and there are loads of staccatos...hahahaha

Gotta practice again tomorrow, got 3 months to do that, must achieve something!! Oh ya anyone knows a good violin teacher in Ipoh lemme know k! :)

Later!

Too semangat....

So I was listening to the soundtrack to The Sound of Music while studying Dynamics. As you know, the songs from the movie are superb! And so I semangatly sang along to the music. Like all the songs. With the high and low parts and the vibratos (ok sort of :P). And now I feel like im gonna get a sorethroat. Wahahahahhahaha. Sad sad.

Went for a 3-hour Good Friday service in church today. It was good...really! It refreshed my memory on what Jesus went through from the betrayal until the crucifixion. Hmmmmm....its gonna be Easter on Sunday and then we're gonna celebrateeeee!!!!

Looking at all the equations I pasted on the wall im not sure im gonna use them...probably gonna make my own? :O wahahahhha. Just kidding, don't worry :P Fluids is making me confused, with the Bernoulli equations and where u can and can't use it and the dunno wat crap samo. hahhaha. hmmm..

I think Im gonna watch a movie. Can't take in anymore information :P

Tres Tres Chic

Everyone's lost it, should we go find it?

So I was reminded by Jess that I have been tagged by her. But then again, I was tagged quite a while ago by Jason and I didn't post that up either. That says something right? Haha. I seriously doubt that you want to know 6 things about me. If you wanna know me then might as well know all than just 6 things right? But I guess that's not the point here, the point is for me to list out 6 things that you should know about me. And so, I shall not list out 6 things about me because there are no 6 things you should know about me. I'm goin in circles! wahahahhaha

Today is the first day of finals, I have papers this Wednesday, and then next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I guess Wednesday's not my lucky day this time :P But was it ever my lucky day? :O Wahahahah. Oh my, im crapping again. Been studying Mechanics of Materials these few days. Kinda behind schedule, but then sempat watch movie samo justnow. Must take a break mah...=) Watched Accepted. Really funny movie, makes you wonder if you should continue studying in this uni or go open one of your own :P

These few days it has been raining in the evening (in the afternoon it will be sweltering hot and then suddenly KABOOM it starts raining and it threathens to flood your apartment :S), at the time when I usually go jogging...and so when I went jogging yesterday I felt really low on stamina. Like...gonna get heart attack anytime soon :O But it was a good sweat session :D

Gotta get back to Mechanics..still got a bit to go but I think I better change subject before I go nuts...hahaha

Itsy Bitsy Petit Bikini

ITSI BITSI PETIT BIKINI
(P.J. Vance / L. Pockriss / A. Salvet / L. Morisse 1960)

Dalida (France)
Autres interprètes: Johnny Halliday, Dario Moreno, Line Renaud, Les Soeurs Kessler, Richard Anthony.

You don't have to say you love meeee

You Don't Have To Say You Love Me
Elvis Presley

(Wickham - Napier - Bell - Donaggio - Pallavicini)
When I said, I needed you
You said you would always stay
It wasn't me who changed, but you
And know you've gone away

Don't you know that now you're gone
And I'm left her on my own
Then I have to follow you
And beg you to come home

You don't have to say you love me
Just be close at hand
You don't have to stay forever
I will understand
Believe me, believe me
I can't help I love you
But believe me, I'll never tie you down

Left alone with just a memory
Life seems dead and so unreal
All that's left is loneliness
There's nothing left to feel

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Very nice song....hehehe...started listening to Elvis again after one babi named cheow asked me to change the song I was listening to (Morning Musume - Love Machine) - he claimed it was "contaminating his MSN and he has lost all hope in humanity". So i was browsing iTunes and then decided I should listen to Elvis (was listening to devil in disguise, another good song!) From then on I kept looping this song...hahahaha :P

Anyway yesterday evening I went to watch the MPO Chamber Concert (yes, alone). It was awesome! There were 3 parts, it was a concert of Italian music. The first two there were only two people, one playing the piano and one the viola. It was crazy good! hahahaha...damn emo when they play (like exaggerated hand movements n stuff), but that just makes it better ;) This Sunday going again (yes, alone!) and it's gonna be good! hahaha...I'm hooked!!!!!!!!!!!

Quotes to Get You Thinking

Quotes to Get You Thinking

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path
and leave a trail. (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

Who wants to live a shallow, hollow existence on the surface of things?
Life becomes proscribed by all the things we should avoid and
prescribed by all the things we must be careful to do. We get so busy
trying to demonstrate our spiritual correctness that we lose the art of
living out of our souls. (Jeff Imbach, The River Within)

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Chorus:
The stairways up to la butte
Can make the wreched sigh
While windmill wings of the moulin
shelter you and I

Original Song:

Chorus:
The stairways up to la butte
Can make the wreched sigh
While windmill wings of the moulin
shelter you and I

Original Song:

English Translation:
The moon, all too fair, in your russet-red hair sets a sparkling crown
The moon, all too red with glory, is spread on your poor, tattered gown
The moon, all too white, caresses the light in your world-weary eyes
Princess of the street, do allow me to greet you, my broken heart cries
The steps of Montmartre, all uphill, are hardest on the poor
The sails of the mill, like wings, shelter all paramours
I feel, beggar-girl, your fetters, they curl as they seek out my wrists
I feel your young breasts, your thin little waist
I lose my regrets
I taste on your mouth the feverish breath of a half-starving waif
And with your caress I sense drunkenness erasing my life
The steps of Montmartre, all uphill, are hardest on the poor
The sails of the mill, like wings, shelter all paramours
And see how she skips, the moon how she drifts,
The princess in tow
Da da da da da da da da da da
My reveries grow
The steps of Montmartre, all uphill, are hardest on the poor
The sails of the mill, like wings, shelter all paramours

From Moulin Rouge. =)

One of those days...

I woke up this morning and I felt slightly depressed. I don't know why, but suddenly I felt so lifeless. Like there was no point in doing anything. First of all I was sick this whole week after coming back to uni, having sorethroat, slightly feverish and then running nose. All not very severe tho, not as bad as the last time I fell sick. Anyway suddenly I felt so sick of everything. No mood to study. Mainly because when the lecturer is lazy, of course you would feel lazy, no? This semester it feels like out of 4 subjects, only one really interests me. The rest are interesting subjects but the lecturers just suck the life out of the subject. Really. So boring. And so these past few days I was just staring at the whiteboard when the lecturer was teaching. Maybe it was because I was sick but somehow suddenly my mind blanked/spaced out..and I don't know why i'm here.

One thought on why I was depressed might be because we were laughing so hard yesterday night that maybe I used up all my endorphins for the day? Nah...can't be that...

So I'm feeling this weekend I won't be doing anything useful again...the only thing I can look forward to is MPO tomorrow night. It's gonna be good!

Wednesday, February 28, 2007

5 a.m.

It's 5 am and I'm blogging. Sad, no? Maybe not, because i'm only blogging because I can't sleep! I feel feverish and my nose is leaking a little! It all started on Sunday night. I guess I overworked myself a little when I painted the back of our house in the middle of the day under the super hot sun!! Hahaha...it was after church so I thot before I become super lazy and not paint the wall today (one week at home and the last day oni wanna do all dis :P), I might as well get it over and done now! At first the weather was fine, and then suddenly the scorching sun came out and decided it was time to burn phoebe alive! :S I just continued painting cause honestly the area was kinda small, but I had to do 2 coats, so it took a while. And then the rest of the day was so freaking hot that I had to turn on the air-cond so that I wouldn't sweat like a pig (wahahahhaha) By nighttime I had a mild sorethroat. So I could barely sleep, and we were leaving for uni in the morn!! I was fine in the morning, but then after the journey back and all the unloading and the class-going and makaning I was so tired! So on Monday night I took 2 biji panadol and Ko-ed early. Lucky had panadol man! If not yesterday would probably be like today where I can't sleep! :s Today not only Im feeling hot, my nose is running. And I think the lymph node that swells up when ur sick IS swollen. Aiyoyoyoyo...no good no good. Lucky no tests this week...

Today our beloved fluids lecturer put up a class notice telling us that there's no fluids class. Im hoping its not because he's lazy but because he had somewhere to go to. We're so gonna die for fluids...he taught us one chapter in like 30 mins, then no mo class till now and we don't have any examples for this chapter! And then got assignment to pass up on Friday!! Aiyoyoyoyooyoyoo

On a happier note, it's Cheeseman's birthday! (Wednesday) On Tuesday it was Josh Groban's birthday!! Since I can't really celebrate Josh's birthday (:P) we celebrated Cheeseman's birthday! We were chatting with him, and then suddenly we said brb, and then we were at his doorstep! Wahahahhaha! Surprise surprise! :P So there were 6 of us(including bday dude), and we sang what I think was the slowest version ever of Happy Birthday, and then it was makan time! Ok ok so we only had American Chocolate Cake and Kickapoo Joy Juice (which made us all high later on), and mostly laughter n crapping. Wahahahaha. Might post up pics if I find a decent one :S Then after the partay was over and we were heading back to the apt, these 2 mangkuks I call housemates decided to go round uni. Because since it was after 12am we had to write our names d so might as well lepak samo it seems. Sweat sweat. So around uni we went, with nina driving in the middle of the road and sarah high on joy juice. wahahaha. What a scene!

Ok now im feeling super hot again and im gonna try to get some sleep...not sure if i'll be alive to go for 8am tutorial....:S

Happy Birthday again Cheeseman! Hope you enjoyed the mini party! :P

That's all for today, goin to Sitiawan tomorrow afternoon, then having steamboat at night! Phew! Since Jeremy's cute but annoying, here's a short vid of him...

That's his toy gun making noise.Previously when I "shot" him he would act injured and do a bit of "breakdancing"! Ahahahaha...then I guess he got tired!

The last time I saw Jeremy was during Christmas, and that time he already start to kecoh, and now lagi kecoh! hahahaha...he terus come attack my room, the last time he threw my toy Mini cooper that Nina gave, and the side window broke...damn sad man...naughty Jeremy!! I wonder when he will come n kecoh again...hahaha...

Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday to two of my closest friends, Rubashiny and Agnes!! You're 20!! The big two-o! Muahahahahah! That reminds me that i'm gonna be old too soon!! :S So happy birthday and remember to enjoy it in your birthday suit!! :P

Talking about birthday suits, I have 2 friends who when they know that they're gonna be alone in the apt in uni, the one thing they wanna do is walk around naked =_=".. ahahahahaha...don't wanna know if they ever did that! I wonder if there's anyone out there who likes to walk around naked and they never told anyone...ahahahaa!

If you are used to flying this is nothing new :P
