The last couple of weeks have been very busy for us with so many great things. We had the chance to go to a Homeschool Bookfair in the city. It was great to see all the families and look at so many companies that supply Godly material for school. We also got to spend time with Matthew's sister, and parents and do some fun things. Not to mention eating in some great restaurants. We went to a beautiful botanical garden where the girls saw a bride having her bridal portraits done. I took tons of pictures of the girls and flowers. We also got to ride in an open air train. Everyone enjoyed that. I got to visit briefly with my college roommate Carrie. It was good to catch up.
When we returned home we had friends from Denmark come to visit. We had not seen them in about 4 1/2 years. It was so good to see them. They stayed with my parents. Mom made some fantastic meals for everyone several nights while they were here. We also got to see Adam and his family for most of a day. It was fun to all be together. The girls warmed up to Karin and her mom, Myrna, and showed them all their neatest tricks. We did some shopping and lots of talking and relaxing. It was hard to say goodbye and they will be missed until their next visit. Karin said she might be able to come for our housewarming party when we finish building our new house. So, hopefully that won't be all that long from now!
Matthew has almost finished the wiring in the house. It has been a slow process, but we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. He hooked up the water line from outside, and we have running water to the house! That is pretty exciting progress! He also set up a sink in the utility room, and today he finished the drain for it. These little accomplishments are really neat to achieve. I am proud of him for all his hard work.
The girls have not been doing much ballet lately. They are riding bikes, watering plants, and thinking up other fun things to do. Inside they have been playing library, restaurant, bakery and other real life games. Playdough has been the source of hours of fun. We went to library story hour the past two weeks, and that has been good. Last week we toured the Post Office. This week the kids got to color a t-shirt with markers, because it went along with the story. There will be a photgraphy lesson in a couple of weeks, and Isabel will especially like that. She enjoys pretending to take pictures like I do.
We have two birthdays this weekend. Evelyn will be 2 on Sunday and Katie will be 5 on Monday. I know we'll have parties and cake, (with peach colored frosting, requested by Katie) and special breakfasts with pretty dishes. It will be fun no matter what we do.
Cousin Ivey and Aunt Jessica came by to visit this evening. She and the girls had fun together. They showed her their see-saw, bikes and slide. They got along very well and were having fun. Ivey said she wasn't ready to go when it was time to leave. I was proud of her for going without fussing about it. Good job Ivey!

Another exciting thing that happened today is Josephine is getting her first tooth. It is now visible. She was showing it off to us this morning. She is also army crawling. She crawled from the girls room all the way to the kitchen today. After a while she gets frustrated with it. So I pick her up, hold her for a while, and then set her down again. This does the trick.
I am trying to include some pictures of work being done at the building house. Hopefully I can get them uploaded. We'll see. I will try to keep the pictures coming. Have a blessed week.
