It all started with Jared and Lisa in '04. Hannah joined up in '07. Asher got in on the action in '09. The team currently plays in Chicago and loves it.

Oh Man...
Today I put Asher down for a nap and then immediately went down myself. I heard him get up about 20 minutes later and play. I decided I was too comfortable and proceeded to ignore him for another 20 minutes.
Who knew one kid could do so much damage in an unsupervised situation?
I'll I will say is there was paint and sugar involved.
Punk.

Just Add A Skirt.
I have a major regret.
Many really.
But a not-so-serious one is forgetting to take a picture of Hannah's outfits to church the last 2 Sundays. People are still talking about the combination from 2 weeks ago. (Pig tails, head band over the ears, pink zebra turtle neck, aqua shirt over it, snow flake pants, snow boots, and a fish skirt to make it "churchy".)

So, here is Hannah.
She dresses herself.
This outfit is pretty good right? All the way down to her purple wannabe Uggs with the sequined peace signs on the sides.
Where do you think she is going?
School? Play date? Just getting dressed for the day?
No.
These are her pajamas. All the way down to the boots, tiny pony tail on top, and headband. She wears it all to bed.
If you just add a skirt, she is ready for church.

I Laughed Much.
I've been under the weather lately. What's new.
When I'm down, Hannah gets away with watching shows I would normally say no to.

And here is the picture I found later that Hannah drew while watching She-Ra.
I laughed much.
It's the boobies that made me chuckle.
And it should be noted that I grew up watching She-Ra.
Amazing amounts of She-Ra.

The Price Hannah Pays.
We don't take our kids on very many road trips.
Hannah pays a steep price for a even a short trip in the car.
This picture was after 20 minutes in the car on the way to the mall.
Window is down, suckers to suck on, Jared driving as smooth as possible, I'm holding the bag, and blowing on her face.
But so far the record is barfing after one mile.
There were a few turns and stop signs that did her in during that one mile.
I feel so bad, but we have another shopping trip planned this weekend.
It's at least 35 minutes with excellent traffic.
I don't want to tell her.
She associates cars with barfing.
Thanks Hannah for taking one for the Team.
Mama wants to buy some shelves.
A Mother's Personal Dementor.
When a child gives up taking a nap...
It's like all happiness comes to an end for the mom.
P.S. Photo by Hannah.
P.S.S. If you don't know what a Dementor is, you need to watch more Harry Potter.

Huge Thank You's.
I have the greatest friends.
A huge thank you to Paige for watching our kids while we moved.
A huge thank you to Julie for watching my kids the next morning.
A huge thank you to Melissa for watching Hannah the next afternoon.
A huge thank you to the Fullmer's for use of their car.
A huge thank you to the 2 hired guys who moved us quickly (2.25 hours start to finish).
And a big, fat, huge thank you to Liesl who watched our kids for 24 hours the Friday before we moved for our anniversary, for watching them right after we moved, and lending us all the boxes to move in the first place. And after all that she still invites me over for play dates.
And there were many more mental and moral supporters who I say huge thanks to.
HUGE THANKS EVERYONE!

Picture of The Month - January
![]() |
| Dad: The human pillow. |
I thought about cropping the nasty scribbled-all-over wall out of this shot. But I'm hoping in 20 years this picture will make me laugh. Right now, it makes me frown.
And I'm hoping this will be the last picture I ever post with scribbled walls.
We move tomorrow.
Our new place has pretty, shiny, un-scribbled walls. Words can't describe how harsh I will be about enforcing rules about where and when we draw in our house.
There will be designated zones.
And I'm thinking about checking the markers out and in like a library.
You think I'm joking... don't you?
P.S. Happy New Year. It easy to forget it's New Year's when your family of 4 is eating cereal for every meal and sharing 2 forks till tomorrow.
