Neighborhood Hike

We always love hiking to the Potomac from our neighborhood! We made it two miles and no one got stung by a bee! Success!

 

5th Grade Splash Party

Declan got to go to the pool with some of the 5th grade before school starts next week! They had a great time and it was really nice to see so many families again!

 

New Balance All America Tournament

We had so much fun this weekend watching Emmy represent Washington DC at the New Balance All America Tournament. It was a HOT few days and the girls played so hard! They played against teams from all over the county and ended up 7th out of 12 teams - winning the game for 7th by 1 goal in an exciting comeback game against New England.
This is Emmy's 3rd year playing in the All America Tournament and it's super fun to play with different girls each year. The team this year was great - the girls and families were so nice and everyone was really excited to play. Can't wait to do it again next year!!

 

Aoife at Lake Placid

Aoife had an amazing opportunity to play in a tournament at Lake Placid this weekend. It was pretty last minute and we were so sad not to be able to join her but she flew up and stayed with a friend who was also playing in the tournament. They flew into Burlington and drove from there to Lake Placid. I've never been to that area of NY and the photos look beautiful!! Maybe we can tag along next year!

 

Out of the Cast!

 Woohoo!! Declan's arm is healing nicely! He got it x-rayed again today and it looks great but needs a little more time. They took the cast off and gave him a brace to wear for the next few weeks. It's so much better and more comfortable for him. So happy that he's feeling better!!

Sailing on the Chesapeake

 Declan and I joined my parents for a day on their boat today! It was a great day for sailing - although maybe a little too calm.  We had a great time relaxing and Declan took a few turns at being Captain!

Emmy at Boston University

 Emmy and Brendan flew up to Boston for a quick visit to Boston University! Emmy participated in their camp and really liked the school and the team. I'm sure that going to a Red Sox game and visiting Faneuil Hall and The Sail Loft didn't hurt things at all!
