PTI January Release Day #1

Today, we are introducing you to Birthday Pops stamps and dies + Stargazing Hot Foil Plate + Cornered Balloon Party dies + Just Sentiments: From All of Us stamps + Elegant Edges: Balloon Party + Birthday Your Way stamps and dies + Inside Greetings: From All of Us stamps. Whew! That's a lot!

Cake pops are becoming more and more popular for celebrations and this stamp set is something new for me and SO MUCH FUN to use!
I started with stenciling the striped background, then layered a pierced frame and finally the jar of birthday pops.

Over the Moon

Here is another Valentine that will head out to some grands for Valentine's Day. I started by die cutting a white base panel using PTI's Border Bling: Lotty Dotty die and layering it over some Lovely Lady card stock (I think. It was in my scrap pile so am only sure it is a "light pink" - haha!).

I gold embossed the sentiment on vellum and added embellishments by cutting apart a rose cluster from PTI's Thank You Florals stamp set. I've had it in my leftover pile (which I'm trying to gradually use up).

STAMPS: Thank You Florals, Just Sentiments: Love (Papertrey Ink).
INK: Raspberry Fizz, Pure Poppy, Orange Zest, New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse (PTI); Versamark.
PAPER: Lovely Lady, Pure Poppy, White (PTI).
DIES: Border Bling: Lotty Dotty, Pierced Feature Frames, Thank You Florals, Larger Than Life: Love (PTI).
OTHER: Gold embossing powder, Diamond Stickles.

That's all for today! This is a great football weekend with 8 teams remaining. Go Chiefs and go Bengals!  ~Wanda

Have A Heart

Happy Friyay! The wind is going full speed outdoors today, so I quickly changed my plans to do some shopping and stay inside for laundry and cardmaking times instead! I completed several Valentine cards yesterday for the grands and will share one with you today.

The base panel was stenciled using both stencils in the A Little Sketchy set (released last month by Papertrey Ink). The dots were with Pure Poppy ink and the sketchy lines were with Berry Sorbet. I love the new layered hearts dies released last month at Papertrey Ink so I used the two largest dies for the shaker focal point. That "love" sentiment die is just so awesome so I layered up two white sentiments to give it more dimension and stability.

STAMPS: None!
INK: Pure Poppy, Berry Sorbet (Papertrey Ink).
PAPER: Filled With Love 6x6 pad by My Mind's Eye; White (PTI); Acetate.
DIES: Love to Layer: Hearts, Larger Than Life: Love (PTI).
OTHER: A Little Sketchy stencils (PTI); Sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Stay warm and have a great weekend!  ~Wanda

Color Throwdown #726

I've been missing in action for the past week...busy working on a new PTI release that will be revealed starting this weekend. It's hump day so, that means a new Color Throwdown challenge is happening. Lisa is hosting and has chosen gray, navy and white. I love these colors and wanted to show some love to these die cut trees.

I cut the trees from Bristol Smooth Surface paper then added distress inks (Chipped Sapphire, Prize Ribbon, Weathered Wood, Hickory Smoke) with brushes. The twig frame was cut from white then  sponged lightly with Hickory Smoke distress ink.

The base panel was stenciled with the Pointed Out stencil from Reverse Confetti and Chipped Sapphire distress ink.

STAMPS: Sentiment Suite: Thinking of You (The Greetery).
INK: Dark Indigo (PTI) - sentiment; Chipped Sapphire - stencil; Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire, Hickory Smoke, Weathered Wood - trees.
DIES: Tall Pine Trees (Frantic Stamper); Circle of Waves (Reverse Confetti); Border Bling: Twigs (Papertrey Ink); Blueprint 27 (My Favorite Thing) - banner.
OTHER: Pointed Out stencil (Reverse Confetti).

We'd love to have you join us in this color challenge!  Happy stamping!  ~Wanda

Color Throwdown #725

Happy hump day everyone! It's time again for a new Color Throwdown challenge. This week our colors are red, green and brown and it was a perfect chance to try out these sale items I recently purchased from The Greetery. The leafy frame was entirely created with 3 stencils then I added a stamped sentiment.

The base panel has a subtle dotted pattern from using Limeade Ice ink and the Playful Dots stencil from Papertrey Ink. Embellishments are moonshine sequins from PTI.

STAMPS: Opposites Attract (The Greetery).
INK: Brushed Corduroy, Peeled Paint distress inks (Ranger); Pure Poppy (PTI); Versafine Clair Nocturne (Tsukineko).
PAPER: White (PTI).
DIES: Opposites Attract, Opposites Attract Script, Leaves All Around (The Greetery); Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).
OTHER: Leaves All Around stencil by The Greetery; Playful Dots stencil by Papertrey Ink; Moonshine sequins (PTI).

Hope to see your entry in the throwdown gallery! Happy stamping!  ~Wanda

Color Throwdown #724

Happy new year everyone and welcome to the first Color Throwdown challenge of 2023! Amy Rohl is hosting this week and has chosen black, gray, magenta and white as our colors. I realized that I have no great shades of magenta ink in my collection so went with the closest I could find (Raspberry Bliss from Pinkfresh Studio) and paired it with a couple of lighter shades in the pink family.

I started with the background panel and stenciled with the "A Little Sketchy" stencils in Rocky Slope (gray) and True Black. I then color blended a panel of paper in Raspberry Bliss, Bubble Gum and Sparkling Rose inks. I then die cut a variety of the Into the Blooms: Fun Flowers dies from it. These are my new fave florals and I added an extra layer to each flower from the original diagram.

STAMPS: Lots of Hugs (Papertrey Ink).
INK: Raspberry Bliss, Bubble Gum, Sparkling Rose, Rocky Slope (Pinkfresh Studio); True Black, Limeade Ice, Simply Chartreuse (PTI).
PAPER: White, True Black (PTI); Gray -? source.
DIES: Into the Blooms: Fun Flowers, Love to Layer: Hearts, Lots of Hugs (PTI); Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).
OTHER: A Little Sketchy stencils by PTI.

We'd love to have you play along with us. Happy stamping!  ~Wanda

Celebrating 2023

Happy New Year to all my crafty friends! I knew when I saw the Fancy Floral Numbers stamp/die set just released from Papertrey Ink that I wanted to create a card for the new year. This is a must have set that covers MANY occasions!

I stamped the numbers and sentiment with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink (my fave for getting clear crisp images after only ONE stamping) then embossed with clear powder. I colored the images with Copics  (R35, R29, Y18, YG25, YG03), The background was hot foiled using white foil on Pure Poppy paper. I like that this particular foil by Spellbinders is not shiny.

STAMPS: Fancy Floral Numbers (Papertrey Ink).
INK:Versafine Clair Nocturne (Tsukineko).
PAPER: Pure Poppy, White, True Black (PTI).
DIES: Fancy Floral Numbers, Love to Layer: Hearts, Banner Builders: Basics (PTI); Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).
OTHER: Delicate Circles hot foil plate (PTI); White foil (Spellbinders).

Thanks for stopping by!  ~Wanda
