Ryan's Flashback Tunes: Mix #1

So a while back I decided that Tiff and I should dig up some of the memorable tunes that we remembered from high school. When we got searching, however, we found more and more songs. I decided that this would have to be done in numbered mixes of only a few songs at a time. Here are a few songs that brought back some memories... yeah, not necessarily good ones... just memories. Enjoy!

Jumper-Third Eye Blind

The Freshman-Verve Pipe

Sleepin Like a Cowboy

Ok, so these pictures are a little old but i have been meaning to post them. Since i am home all alone, i have plenty of time to do things like adding to the blog. So one day we were playing cowboy. I was the horse and he was the cowboy. All he really wanted to do was have me buck him off onto the floor or the bed. Then he decided that he was going to be the horse and i was to be the cowboy.... yeah, i guess we made it work. After crawling around for a while we decided to take a nap. A cowboy nap. I had to show Carson how cowboys sleep. He thought it was pretty cool. Unfortunately he didnt let me take a nap. I also threw on a picture of Carson holding Halli. She really didnt mind being held like that. Also a pic of me and Halli. I just miss my kids! Anywho, this post is kinda random, but whatever.

Filmstrip Fun

Tiffani, Carson, and Halli are all in Utah for the next couple weeks visiting family. I (RYAN) am at home by myself. I don't know what i'm going to do with myself for the next couple weeks. I havent been alone this long.... in a really really long time. I decided i needed to find projects or things to keep me busy. The Wii is only fun for so long. Tonight i decided to do a little filmstrip of pictures in Photoshop. The day before the fam left for Utah, i took a bunch of pictures of Carson. He is a cutie. Pictures of Halli were also taken, so i had to do another filmstrip. Anyways, i thought this turned out cute! Note: Click on the image to see the full size image!!

Time flies

So Halli has already been with us for more than 5 weeks now. It is hard to believe it has been that long...the days are long, but the weeks fly by. It is interesting how that always seems to be the case. She has been growing so much-we have a doctor's appointment on Monday so we'll see just how much she's grown. It amazes me how much she changes day to day. Some days she cries a lot and it is hard to get anything done. Other days she is just an angel and I can't get enough of her. This week most days have been really good-she is getting better and better each day. She is such a good sleeper too-most of the time. I really appreciate this, and know it is a blessing. I have a hard time functioning with little or no sleep so this helps me a lot! Ryan also helps a lot on the nights she has a hard time. I really appreciate all the things he does.

Carson, Halli, and I are off to visit my family in Utah on Tuesday. We are really excited to go and be with family again! Ryan gets to stay here and work-making it possible for us to go on vacation-THANKS! We will be there for about 3 weeks, and are planning a trip up to Rexburg one day. I'm not sure what day yet, but if anyone wants to get together I would love to see some old friends!

These are just a few recent photos I have taken. I realized yesterday that we took 100 times more photos of Carson than we have of Halli. I don't think we put the camera down for 3 months after Carson was born. I decided that I have to get going and take more pictures of Halli-she is growing and changing way too fast! These are the most recent ones I have taken and they are about a week old. We'll take some more this weekend and get them posted.

Lollypop-round 2

Carson was doing such a great job singing this the other day that I thought I would catch him on video again. I know we already put this song on here once, but he did such a good job...and he is so cute singing it so I have to post it again.

Weekend with the Harris'

Ryan's family came down to visit us for the weekend. We had a lot of fun with them. We did sparklers on the 4th, went out to eat, played games every night (something we really miss doing), and just enjoyed being together. We also got to bless Halli in church on Sunday. It was really nice to have them here for that! Here are a couple pictures of the fun we had together.Carson loved loved loved having them here...more people to entertain and persuade into playing Zoo with him.

Visit to the doctor

So about a month ago Carson got a sliver in his foot. He had gotten a couple others from our balcony (because it is in really great condition-NOT). We assumed it was just another sliver, but we couldn't get it out. I have tried 3 or 4 times to get it out, but it was too deep and I couldn't get it. For the past week he has really been noticing it-so it has probably been hurting him. We told him it was infected so when Ryan's family came to visit us this weekend he showed them many times his "infectig" (as Carson calls it). We tried again on Monday to get it, but still got nothing.
So I finally decided to take him into the doctor to get it out. We went yesterday and the doctor just scraped the top of the skin and was able to get enough layers off to pull it out. To our surprise though it was no piece of wood-it was a piece of glass! I felt so bad, but I guess it hasn't been hurting him too bad because he didn't really even notice it until just lately. I was really glad we took him in to get it out. Carson did so great when we were there. He didn't even cry! When it started hurting him he just whispered "ouch, ouch, ouch"...it was so cute. The doctor was really nice and drew a smiley face on Carson's band aid. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of it before it fell off. Here is a picture of Carson showing me his "infectig" before we went to the doctor.

Angels of Mine

It is a big adjustment going from one child to two children. I knew it was going to be different, but I didn't know just how different it would be. It is hard being a stay at home mom while Ryan is gone all day at work. Some days are better than other days, but moments like these remind me that it is worth it. When my children bring a smile to my face I know that I can face the rest of the day - no matter what comes.

Snuggling

She loves to sleep with her hands under her like this...I love it!

He always brings laughter to my day.
