Key found!!

Dec. 30
Remember the missing car key?!?!
Well, tyson found it today! Wahoo! $300 didn't actually get tossed in the garbage! Yay!
(Pic of key)

Tyson was cleaning his side of the closet and when he picked up a pair of pants off the floor the key fell on the floor. I was in the living room taking a little nap on the couch when he came in holding the key and said, " look what I found?!" I was shocked and excited. So happy he found it. And now I think I owe trey an apology for blaming him on throwing it in the garbage. Although I really do believe he took it and was lugging it around the place. How else could it have ended up on the floor of the closet.....treyzer. That's how. Hahaha.

Sunbeam

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but I love it that Emmry is still saying this. I can't even remember how long this has been going on......a long time.
She refers to the sun as a 'sunbeam'

Some of the things she says:

"The sunbeam up mom, time to get up, the sunbeam up"
"A sunbeam up" (she would say this when she is laying in bed at night and I say good night, I will see you in the morning. That is her response)
I just told her that it was quiet time and asked her if she wanted to take a nap. She said, " a no. A sunbeam up "

Oh she is killing me with her cuteness. Love her to pieces- every night and everyone nine when the "sunbeam" comes up.

Counting to 10

Emmry is getting better at counting to 10.
It used to be
2,3,6
Now it is
2,3,7,8,9 (and sometimes 10)
We dropped the 6, but added more numbers! Hahaha
That's her answer to everything of course.
My favorite is when she wakes up and is ask her how slept. Its the same answer every morning-   2,3,7,8,9,10

looked low and lower

i lost tysons car key sunday/monday.
today is wednesday.still can't find it.
maybe trey threw it away. that is all I can think of. I have check high and low and even lower because I really think that Trey got ahold of it. (that;s why I said low and lower. hahahaha)
I have checked every couch cushion, plant container, kitchen cupboard and drawer (including the famous tupperware drawer where I have found strange items places in it before). I have checked in the shoe and toy bins. every closet. in every bathroom (praying it wasn't in the toilet), in tysons shoes in his closet- yes, I have found items in his shoes before but mainly placed there by miss Emmry.

I have looked everywhere. I have no idea where that darn key could be.
I called the BMW dealership to see what the replacement cost would be. Oh don't worry, just a mere $300. Sheesh!!!
You know how you hear stories at church about people loosing something and praying and then they find it........well, that doesn't work for me. Ive prayed numerous times and I am still empty handed. All I can think of is the kitchen garbage. Trey is famous for opening the cabinet and placing things in the garbage. I have found several toys and even shoes in the garbage before. All I can think of is that is one expensive key to be throwing away.

I hope that key magically appears somehow.

DECEMBER

DECEMBER 2013

Dec. 1 Sun
Deck the Halls!
red and green containers filled with Christmas cheer.
Christmas music, dancing and singing, garland with red berries, baby Jesus, Joseph and Mary,
stockings

Dec. 1Sun.
Belated Thanksgiving Dinner today!
Here is the aftermath. (pic)
it. was. good.
turkey, stuffing, steamed green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, homemade rolls.
Yum.
and then of course we ended with pumpkin pie and vanilla ice cream. delish.

Dec. 3 Tue
I started brainstorming about how I am going to do my Christmas cards this year and realized that I don’t have good head shots of my kids so I took Treys today. Not sure why because I think that I will take them again after I give him a hair cut. I gave him M&M’s to make him happy, but then when he smiled big and cute he looked like he had brown teeth so apparently that was a bad idea. But I still think he looks like a stud with a chocolate covered face and long spiky hair.

Dec. 3 Tue
Trey had a low grade fever today. I gave him some children's tylenol.  I think that it is just teething but if he is coming down with a virus, I hope that it won’t hit him hard and will pass quickly.

Dec. 5 Thurs
Trey didn't wake up until 9:45 this morning! I didn’t go to be until 9:00pm ish. He woke up 2-3 times during the night, but he must really need his rest. He has had a low fever for the past 2 days now and late this afternoon he started coughing a little bit. I think he may be starting a cold.

RS Christmas Party.
What a whirlwind of an afternoon-evening!
Poor kids were in the car since 2:30 when I went to pick up the dinner rolls from Safeway. the headed straight over to AJ’s fine foods for the soups and salads. I stopped back home for 15 minutes in hopes that I could change my clothes and get ready, but I managed to only get my shoes off and Trey was whining at my feet and wanted to be held. So I held him and cuddled him knowing that I was going to be rushed and even though I didn’t have time to just sit. I did.
**church. set up at Wendy Morjons house
**mcDonalds drive thru. spilled sprite in car. stressed mess.

*ty took kids to football, but it was cold night and I didn;t want little kids out in the cold since trey was already sick so he ended up going to Safeway that was down the street from Tages football practice. Don’t know what he did there. Give them food since neither of them ate their mcdonalds chicken nuggets. (niether would I, I tasted one before I gave it to Trey and it was nasty!) I know that he bought them a little stuffed animal. it must have been a long night for Tyson too trying to entertain them waiting for Tage.

Dec. 6 Fri
another 10am wake up time for Trey this morning. although he once again didn't go to be until close to 10pm and woke up a couple time during the night.
He definatley has a cold. he woke up with crusty green boogers on his nose and watery eyes. Poor little guy has a nasty cold. Cried all mooring and just wanted to be held.
I was suppose to go a charity meeting for Mothers Without Borders I am helping my friend Amanda with but because Trey was still asleep and knowing he was sick I didn't go. My other friend, Stefanie, still ended up watching Emmry for me. She took her to one of her friends houses to decorate cookies. How fun is that?! Emmry had a great time! I try to teach my children to be kind and polite for times when I am not there to give them the evil eye or correct them. I guess whatever I am doing to teach them that must be working because she used her manners! Stefanie said that she was an angel. Oh, good.
Trey was a grumpy mess all day. I hate it when I can’t figure out what he wants. Not up, not down, binks, no binks, hungry, not hungry. I just wish he will get feeling better soon.

Dec. 7 Sat.
Trey is still sick and Emmry says that her stomach hurts. Lovely. 2 sick munchkins. Not cool people, not cool.
Tage played his last football game today at 11:00. ‘The playoffs’ is what they called it. A coach from one of the opposing team got to pick a few players from Tages team and another team. Those players from those 3 teams played against another team that was compiled from 3 different teams. Make sense? Anyway, since it was super cold (low 40*) I stayed home with the 2 little ones.
whether with or without me - they won!!
west region (tages team): 14
east region: 6
wahoo!
At about 12:30pm Emmry got a pillow off the couch and laid down on the floor, covered herself with a blanket and talked to a stuffed snowman for a couple minutes. I hadn’t heard her talking for a bit so while I was still in the kitchen I asked if she was ok. No answer. I peeked in the living room to see if she was even still there and sure enough, she was asleep. I knew it. I knew that she was tired and didn’t feel good. I hoped that the nap would help her kick whatever bug she has, but she still woke up a little sick saying that her stomach still hurt. I hate it when my kiddos are sick. It makes me feel sad that I can’t help them. All I could do is give them tylenol and cuddles. (Even though I believe Mom cuddles do more healing than Tylenol.)

Both little kids had a grilled cheese sandwich for dinner and they both actually ate a decent amount! Emmry wanted to get in the bath without Trey so I put him in the shower. Around 7:15pm Emmry said that she wanted to go to bed ‘in mommy’s room’ so I tucked her in in my bed. after which I tried to lay Trey down, but that didn’t go so smooth. He stayed up for another long hour and a half. then I could tell he was done and I was beyond done so I layed him down in his bed. He didn’t like that and cried for maybe 1 minute and was out like a light. I knew he was super tired.

NOVEMBER

I'm sure there is many repeats in this, but at least I have it written down. I wrote down everything in a document and then just copied and pasted it here.

NOV. 2013

nov.1
Rebels:8
Storm:6
Dad didn’t come.
Tage only touchdown.

Nov.2
Outside Saturday chores are mainly cleaning up dog mess, blowing and picking up the debris/leaves, sometimes trimming trees, cleaning the chicken coop and straigtening the area around it. But  when they are done - it’s play time! Emmry could ride all day if Tyson would let her! Tage rode his dirt bike for awhile too and then he went to the neighbors house and played basketball.
Oh how I love low key Saturday afternoons!

Nov 4.
So I am a few days late in starting this, but I wanted to do a grateful paper. My plan it to have this paper sit on the counter all month. Anyone can jot down or draw a picture of things that they are thankful for. I have so much to be thankful for. I can’t wait to see what gets written down!

Nov. 4
Trey is helping me clean my bathroom. I gave him the dirty job of cleaning the toilets. Hahaha. just kidding. I was surprised to turn around and he was IN the toilet with a piece of toilet paper wiping it down. He keeps me on my toes for sure!

Nov. 5
I thought Trey looked like a little stud man in his plaid shirt and jeans so I took a few pictures outside while we were waiting for Tage to come home from school.

Nov. 5.
We have had a pretty low key day today. So low key that I think Emmry has been on the iPad a lot. While Trey and I were playing outside I coaxed Emmry to at least come outside with the iPad to get some fresh air.

Nov. 5
Stickers, stickers, stickers! Emmry covered hers and my leg with Jake and the Neverland Pirate stickers, Silly girl.

Nov. 5
Lite Brite!!!!!
An oldie but a goodie for sure! During Treys nap time Emmry and I made a lite brite iccd cream cone!

Nov. 6
I really have liked this diaper bag I was given to by my mother in law before Emmry was born. But seeing that it has gone through a rough 3 years  of a daily beatting/use, I figured it was time I retire it. But first I had to destroy it completely to get th fabric off of it which I loved. I have no idea what tI’m going to do while those small squares of fabric, but I really like the fabric and thought that somehow I could do something with it to create a keepsake of my first diaper bag.
Nov. 8
15 month well check appointment for this little man!!!

Trey did great today. he got 3 shots and screamed while the nurse gave them to him, but then was a happy boy after he got a sticker!

TOFW
I wasn’t planning of going to TOFW tonight, but my visiting teaching companion mentioned something yesterday about going so I asked if I could hitch a ride with her. It turned out to be a fun night!
BLOG

Nov. 9
Rebels 6
Raiders: 30
they got crushed!!!!! I wasn;t there because I went to TOFW, but Tyson said that it wasn't a good game at all! horrible game. really. obviously Tage wasn't in his groove. What the heck Tager?!?!?  Better step it up for next weeks play off game!!!!

Nov. 9
Cowgirl is ready!

Nov. 9
100 push ups
100 sit ups

apparently Emmry and Trey wanted to join in on the fun,

Nov. 10
Tyson finally trimmed the tree we have on the west side driveway. Tages job is to haul the branches off to the backyard,

Nov. 11
$4 admissions total = cheap Saturday entertainment.
Horses = happy kids
family fun = Turf Paradise!

Out of the 3 races that we stayed for, not one of us chose the winning horse. In fact, I think that I always picked the horse that came in the bottom 3. I’m glad that I’m not a gambler. I would be broke for sure!

Trey got just as excited to watch the tractors smooth out the track as he did watching the horses!

Nov. 12
Never ending laundry, laundry, laundry.

Nov 13
another sticker fest this afternoon with my sweet Emmry baby!

Nov 14.
Turkey Craft!
I told her to hold her turkey and smile for a picture. She said ok, one. then she took off running, skipping, jumping, and hopping again.
I’m thankful for……
first thing was Rainbow Dash immediately followed by My Little Pony the movie.
I then had to ask her questions and give prompts to other things for her to say that she was thankful for. She kept saying Rainbow Dash as she ran back and forth on the front porch.

Nov. 14
Thanksgiving School Lunch
Even though Tages lunch is right smack in the middle of Treys nap time, he was excited that we were going to come.
My favorite lunch menu- pressed turkey (cold), fake mashed potatoes (cold), canned green beans (cold), hard dry roll (cold), square of pumpkin pie (pretty sure it was half pumpkin half squash) topped with a dollop of whipped topping. But and my most favorite of all favorite parts of it was that I got to use a spork! Yay!

Trey liked the mashed potatoes, and both Emmry and Trey took care of the pie for me. That left me with picking at the pressed turkey and green beans and roll.

Luckily I had a snack before I went so I wasn't very hungry anyway.

But really the best part of it all was that I got to be with my sweet Tager. I’m so thankful that he is apart of our family.

Nov. 14
I love it when I catch my kids looking at the Friend magazine for fun not just because it is a Sunday.

Nov. 14
I’m glad that Emmry is taking precautions and wearing a helmet when she is running and jumping over Tys legs. I really dont know where this little girl gets her unlimited energy! It’s about 7:30pm. She woke up around 6:00am and has not taken a nap. Sheesh, baby girl! Pass some energy my way!!

Nov. 15

Emmry, Trey and I met Stefanie and Sofie Neumer at the park today, NO special reason just a great day to go to the park!
While at the park, Stef and I used construction paper and cut out a bunch of hearts so we could plaster them on Patsys front door. Our friend Patsy had a D&C today. She miscarried last week and the pills that she started taking weren't working on breaking and getting everything out so the Dr. said she would have to do a D&C to clear it out.

Emmry and Sofie had fun putting the hearts on wherever they wanted!

Nov. 15
First time this little girl is using a pair of scissors!!!
I love that her tongue is sticking out as she focuses and cuts, too cute.

Nov. 15
Play off games! It was at Sunrise Mountain High School near our house! the first thing Emmry noticed was the horse,

FInal Score
Rebels:6
Storm:21
Tage had the only touchdown. They got creamed. That’s 2 games in a row they have lost! What is their deal?!?!

Either the kids were strapped in the stroller shoving their face full of goldfish and snacks or Trey was keeping me on my toes by running up and down the bleacher and Emmry was admiring her “meigh” (what she calls horse)

NOv. 16
Another great day for a quick  4-wheel ride with Dad!

Nov. 18
Laundry day….again.
After i put trey in and pushed him around, Emmry wanted a ride too. Then when she stood up and pushed down on the divider it ripped. Fun was over. Time to get out.

Nov. 18
Trey was under my feet as I was fixing dinner tonight, I got something out of the fridge and he grabbed a bag of lettuce I had in a ziplock bag. I made sure it was closed and must let him have it to play with so I could get him out of my way as finish prepping dinner.
Then I looked over and saw this……
Lettuce anyone?.

Nov 19
Emmry wanted to go see Sammy (donkey next door). The kids ended up getting pretty dirty while we were over there so I let them play in the water when we got back.
trey pretty much just sat in the dirt over there and Emmry  ran around getting dirty too.

after they played in the water outside I stripped them down and let them play in warm water inside. Bath time at 4:30?!?! Sure! why not?!

Nov 20
Pump it Up
After going down the huge slide a couple times, Emmry was brave enough to do it by herself. She had a blast!
Ttrey even when down by himself! He was all smiles as he slid down feet first on his belly.
We definitely need to go back soon. these little munchkins had so much fun!

Nov. 20
Hangin out at Tage’s football practice. Singing ‘if your happy and you know it’ and climbing over the pads.

Nov. 21
Emmrys random creation I found today. I love the stack of rummicube tiles and the baby spoon on the side. Emmry makes me smile everyday,

Nov. 21
Turkey turkey turkey trot
3 place winner for this lightening bolt guy!
I forgot to time his 1 mile run, but he did awesome and would definitely beat me in a run any day!

Nov 21
peek a boo
I see you

great hiding spot trey!

Nov 21
Ive noticed lately that Emmry has been using her imagination a lot and talking out loud as she plays with her toys. Today she was up to the table playing with her play doh and talking up a storm with it. I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!! I love how cute little kids and their imaginations are.

Nov. 22 friday.
Raining Friday morning calls for lazy morning and jammies

Nov. 23. saturday.
Tyson sister Rachelle and her 2 daughters, Ellie and Haven, came in town last night for Ellies soccer tournament. Unfortunately the games got cancelled because of all the rain we have and these past 2 days. It literally has been raining non stop since yesterday morning. Rain, rain rain!
We ended up going to Rock Bottom for dinner tonight. I had a good hamburger and onion rings. Yum!
Then Tage went with Rachelle and the girls to see the Hunger Game movie and ty and I went home with the kiddos, put them to bed and had a quiet evening alone.

Nov. 24
We had pancakes for breakfast this morning and Trey got syrup all over the place, even in his hair! His hands were so sticky that they stuck together. When he looked at them he had a confused look on his face. He even poked his face and would get his hand stuck on it and when he would pull it off we would all laugh which made him laugh. it was pretty funny. I tried to capture when he was poking his eye and his eye lid was getting stuck shut. I was laughing so hard I got tears in my eyes!

Nov. 24
Dinner on the table? Sure!
At least he wasn't bugging me while I was trying to eat.

Nov.25
Drawing cousin names for Christmas  for the Judd side of the family. Emmry was the big helper that got to pick the names out of the hat.
I asked her to go get a hat for me to put the pieced of paper in. she runs back in with her cowgirl hat. Oh my cute little cowgirl. I love her.

Nov 27-29
Las Vegas NV

27:
We left the house at about 7 am for the drive to Las Vegas. I carried the 2 little kids to the car still half asleep hoping that they would fall back asleep. Nope. Wide awake the minute I belted them in.

Nov. 30
Emmry came running into my bathroom this afternoon with a he smile on her face. she said, “Mommy, I got a surprise for you……” and from behind her back she showed me this beautiful flower. She was so excited to give it to me! I smelled it and told her that it smelled wonderful (even though it was nasty) and thanked her for picking such a beautiful flower for me.

thanks for the flower, Emmry! you are so very kind. I love you.

56 minutes

That's how long Trey was up last night around the hour of 2am. (and let me add he didn't go to bed until shortly after 10pm....)
He cried and cried. I rocked him, walked with him, snuggled him and held him. Laid him in bed countless times. I was ready to scream myself when I realized that I should be enjoying this moment alone.
Why? Trey is not a cuddler, never has been really which has alway made me sad.
So as I held him last night I realized that he wanted me. ME! Not the balls that were scattered on the floor or the marshmallows in the cupboard. ME, ME, ME!
I held him and loved him even though he was still crying and squirmy and didn't know if he wanted up or down, held towards me or away, I still wrestled with him just so I could hold him which is what I knew he really wanted anyway.
And honestly I feel rested this morning. Strange.
I love my Treyzer.

Lettuce

Maybe Trey was trying to give the rabbits some food. Who knows. All I know is that it was all over my floor and I had to clean it up. Trey was a big helper though and helpled me put it back into the plastic bag. What a nice boy :)
(Pic of lettuce on floor)

Laundry basket ride

The kids had fun in the laundry cart today. I spun them around and raced around the house like we were on a speed track. We were all having fun until Emmry stood up pushing down on the divider and ripped it. Laundry rides came to an abrupt end and kiddos had to get out. Darn. Now I have to sew it up. Ugh.
(Ps. My friend gave me this 3 divider laundry cart because she moved into a smaller place and didn't have room for it. I am loving it!! It really does save me time in doing laundry because I don't have to spend the time sorting it out!)
(Pic kids in laundry cart)

Molasses Cookies

I bought molasses a couple weeks ago wanting to make molasses cookies. I don't think I have ever made molasses cookies before, and my mom rarely made them. But I do remember my cute grandma judd always having either Jessie's raisin cookies, molasses cookies or snicker doodles in her little pig cookie jar.
Well, today I made a batch. Honestly, they didn't smell the way I remember them smelling. Molasses stinks. But I do think they tasted good and the kids seemed to like them too. Ty on the other hand told me that I should never make them again and that they are gross. He threw his in the garbage!
Would I consider them as one of my all time favorite cookies. No. I now know why my mom didn't make them often. It's not the type of cookie I would crave for. This might be a once a year type cookie.

Worth the $12

Since we didn't take Tage to get his hair cut yesterday I decided to cut it myself this morning so he would have a clean cut look for church.
Bad idea.
Tage is super picky and not patient.
I admit, it did take me a lot longer than if we went to Great Clips or somewhere like that, but still, he needed to chill. I didn't want to cut off too much and kept asking him over and over "is that ok?" but apparently that was not the right way to do it. He just kept getting more and more frustrated saying that I didn't know what I was doing. Well I asked that question one too many times and he flipped. Said I am just messing up his hair and threw the clippers on the ground. I hadn't even finished the top part! (where he said I messed up. but really it just wasn't as short as he wanted) So he got in trouble and Tyson told him to go to his room and he will just have to go to church and school the way it was.
After he calmed down a bit Ty did end up going in his room and cutting it a little shorter. But I know that I learned my lesson.....Just take him to get his hair cut!!
(Oh, and a little side note. I was still a little mad at him for being rude and flipping out like he did before I was even done and I said something on the lines of 'you didn't even say thank you....' he responded in a rude sarcastic tone, "Thank you. Even though you messed up" Grrrrrrr. That didn't help with me getting over being mad at him.)

Tooth #5

Those little razor sharp pearly white teeth just keep poppin' though!
A top tooth right next to his left front tooth just came in this afternoon. Oh he looks so cute with his uneven teeth slowly making their appearance. Soon enough he will be loosing his teeth and I will be calling him a jack-o-lantern.

Crafting Day 2

Two days in a row crafting with Miss Emmry during Trey's nap time! Go me!! I'm really going to try harder about spending one on one time with Emmry while Trey is napping. The days get so crazy sometimes and I feel bad that I have just let Emmry play alone all day or she has been glued to the iPad. Those days I DO NOT feel like I earned the Mom of the year award. And I like feeling good about being a good Mom.
Anyway, we started out by tracing each others hand to make a turkey but when it came to the part to cut our hands out it just really turned into a scissor fest and the hands got all chopped up.
Oh well, at least she was having fun and I don't feel guilty that I didn't give her quality time today.
(pic)

two. three. six

This is Emmry's answer to most things lately (lately meaning within the past 2 months; I'm just a slacker and just barely writing it down....)

Not lying- this first one has really happened; and not just once, it's practically every morning!!

Me: How did you sleep?
Emmry: 2, 3, 6

Oh how I love my sweet Emmry!!

Me: How old are you?
Emmry: 2, 3, 6

Me: You got lots of horses!
Emmry: Yah, 2, 3, 6

Me: Can you count to 10 with me?
Emmry: 2, 3, 6

At least we won't have a problem with her remembering the numbers two, three and six!

Thankful Turkey

Sometimes I feel like a good Mom. Today was one of them because Emmry and I did a Thanksgiving craft and read a book called Thank You Thanksgiving.
(pic)
First on her list of things she is grateful for was Rainbow Dash and immediately after was My Little Pony movie.
Oh, boy do we have a lot of learning on the topic of gratitude. (I'm just glad I made her list. Hahaha)

Tooth #4

Trey's right front tooth finally broke through during the night. It has almost been a month of him being buck tooth. Now I can say he has buck teeth. Hahaha.

Pumpkin Patch

Our second pumpkin patch of the season - yay!

Patsy and I took our kids up to the Pioneer Museum near Anthem. We basically went there for the pumpkin patch so didn't spend a lot of time looking at all the little replica buildings from 'the olden days' hahahaha. One of these days my great great great grandchildren will be saying that I lived in 'the olden days'! Oh too funny.

Anyways, We took a ride on a wagon pulled by horses out to the pumpkin patch.
(pic on the wagon)

We took a few pictures by the pumpkins. Don't ya love the pumpkin patch......pumpkins nicely placed on hay bails.
(pic by pumpkins. Emmry holding Trey)

Emmry of course had fun on the pony ride (which was dumb because it cost $5 and I already paid $10 just to get into the park and they only got to ride around the circle maybe 5 times. Ugh. But I wasn't going to deny my horse loving daughter a pony ride, so I happily paid the $5)
(pic Emmry on pony)

Trey loved playing in the dirt.
(pic T. dirt w/ shoe off)

They both loved the corn maze. Which actually was hay bails. But what's the difference - right?! at little people height hay bails probably seem just as tall as corn stalks. They ran around in the maze for a good chunk of time and then it was time to leave.

Do you think these shoes have seen better days?
Do you think it's about time for me to retire them?

Macormick Ranch

I had heard about this great pumpkin patch to go to out in Scottsdale. I convinced Ty that we should go there today.
We got there around 4:30pm which didn't leave us a ton of time to play around at all the fun things they had to do since it gets dark about 6:00pm. But we made the best of it.
What I loved about it is once you paid your park entrance fee ($20 for our whole family) everything was free once you got in! Including horse rides!! Not ponies, but HORSES!! Emmry was in heaven!

After spending a little bit of time playing a few games they had and in the petting zoo area, we took a 'train' ride (covered wagons connected together pulled by a tractor. It was super cute) out to the pumpkin patch.
We 'picked' out a couple pumpkins from the nicely arranged pumpkins on hay bails and took a few pictures. Then we took a hay ride back to the main park area where you paid for your pumpkins you 'picked.' You were charged triple the price from the ones you could get at the grocery store, but hey, it's all about the experience right?! Tage's $12 pumpkin and Emmry's $6 pumpkins were totally worth it. They were happy little kids and that's all that mattered.

Little Pond

Oct 15
You mean to tell me that three hours is a little too long to leave the sprinklers on? Dang. I can't believe I forgot to turn off the sprinklers in front of the guest house; therefore created a pond! But hey, (I'm trying to be positive here people) at least it's not a lake! I can consider this just a little pond, not a lake.
(pic)

Rainbow Dash Shirt

Oct. 15
Oh what a cute little Rainbow Dash girl I have.....
(pic)
This shirt is going to be part of her Halloween costume. She loves it so much, I just might have to wash it at night while she is sleeping. But that is only if I can convince her to take it off and put her jammies on. Hum, tonight might be a little tricky.

Service day for Sister Rigby--Hey, that's ME!!!

Oct 9
Last week the missionaries asked if they could do some service for me and wash and detail my car. Um....are you kiddin' me?!?! By all means Elders, have at it! It's all yours! Thank you, thank you!
And just because they are so awesome; they took a lunch break and then helped me paint/stain the swing set! We didn't get done but they said they would help again another time.

These Elders are A-W-E-S-O-M-E!! I'm so lucky to have the blessings of them living in my backyard!!!

Cat Scratch

Oct 8
It looked like Trey had a cat attack him in his sleep last night. He woke up with a whole bunch of tiny scratches on his face. I guess today would be a good day to trim his fingernails don't you think?!
(pic)

Laundry

Oct 7
It must be Monday. Never ending laundry day. I'm surprised I have piles folded; usually they are piles that I still need to tackle folding or piles of previously folded clothes that the kids threw off the couch.
(pic)
and no, this isn't all of the laundry for the day. I still have 2 more batches.

Winter Grass

Oct 5
It's that time again....time to over seed our lawn for winter grass. Although we didnt have summer grass so really I should be saying that its just time to plant grass.
When the nights start to cool off and the day still gets warm; thats when you should overseed your grass here in Arizona. Its usually around General Conference time to thats how I remember it. I look forward to this time of year because I know that the cooler weather will be coming and park days will become the everyday norm for us.
I just hope that this grass will grow. To be honest, we have only had one winter that we had awesome grass in our yard. I wish we had green thumbs sometimes.

Rebels vs Scorpions

Oct. 5

Final score:
Rebels 32
Scorpions 0
tage made the first touchdown of the game and another 3 throughout.
He rocked!!!
(pic)
Emmry seems to always be Dads shadow on the weekends. She loves to be with him.
(pic)
Trey like to stand at the fence and watch the game. After the game was over Tage came over to say hi to Trey. it was the cutest thing ever. Trey loves his big bro.!

Halftime snack

Oct. 4
We got assigned oranges for the halftime snack at Tages football game tomorrow. I told Tage that it wasn't my team so he had to do it.

General Conference

Oct. 6
(pic)
Church in our jammies!
Since we dont have cable TV and Tyson doesnt want to go to the stake center where it is being broadcasted, we get to watch General Conference online on the iPad. Not the best view, but lets be honest, there isnt much to watch; listening is the key.
I love listening to the

Backyard view

Let me first say how much I like our neighbors. John and Barb were the first neighbors to come say hi when we moved in and Barb has always been so nice to talk to. We love to look over the wall to see their pigs, goats and Sammy (the donkey). We love taking care of the animals when they go out of town. Overall, we like them. We got each others back as good neighbors should. So when this situation arose I was worried that it would ruin our friendship....here's the story.

John and Barb came over last week asking us how we would feel if they put a semi trailer (their new hydro-dipping business) along the wall between our properties. Tyson wasn't home, but I'm sure he wouldn't want a huge semi trailer parked right by our fence blocking the view. I kinda hoe hummed around my answer not giving them a yes or a no and told them that I would talk to Tyson. Ty was not happy about the situation and wondered why they have to put it there when they have tons of property to put it somewhere else. But, Ty never got back with them and it never got brought up again.

Well look what appeared yesterday afternoon......
(pic of trailer along wall)

We now have a beautiful view of a big black and white semi trailer when we look out our back door. Not ideal at all. I was not happy and neither was Tyson when I called and told him. Honestly I was a little bugged with Tyson for not saying something in the first place to them last week when they approached us.

Long story short, Tyson talked to them last night and this morning they had someone come and move the trailer.
(pic of trailer moved)

Now that's better. Still not great because we will always see a huge semi out back, but so much better than before.
I'm so glad this didn't cause contention between us and our neighbors. It turns out that they didn't like where they put it the first time anyway but because of how much it cost for wiring, they had to put it there. But because Tyson knows so many people, he told them who to talk to about getting different kind of wiring so they could put it farther from their main house and it wouldn't cost any more money. Awesome. It turned into a win/win situation!

Bruise

Oct.24
Not only did I take this picture of Trey because I think he is the most adorable boy alive and I love how gigantic his smile is so I could see his tiny teeth, but really because of his cheek. If you look closely you can see a bruise on his cheek. I did that. It was from when I fell going up the stairs with his about a week ago. It makes me feel horrible that I did that to him! But I'm glad that he is ok and still loves me.

The House of The Lord

Friday, oct. 18

I didn't sleep well last night, so getting up at 5:20am was easy. No use in laying in bed or tossing and turning when I could go to the temple instead!
I made it to the St. George temple in time to attend the 6:00am endowment session. It was good. I felt peaceful. I felt the love of my Savior. I enjoyed every minute of it.
I was actually eager to see the new endowment video everyone has been talking about. And yes, I liked it. It is the same message, but new 'modern' feel to it.
After the session I spent only a few minutes in the celestial room, but I loved how peaceful and beautiful it was.
I was happy that I started my day off right; going to The House of The Lord.

Family Pictures

Sunday, oct. 20

Before we headed back home to AZ I wanted to have our family pictures taken among the red rock scenery of beautiful St. George.
Since I didn't do family pictures or Christmas cards last year I wanted to make it a priority this year to do them. I know it was going to be hard with Emmry and Trey, but honestly it was worse than I imagined. That is with Emmry, not Trey. Trey was dreamy and didnt cry once. was always at least looking at the camera and for the most part he even had a little smile on his face. Emmry was the complete opposite. She was a nightmare. She wouldnt even look at the camera let alone smile. most of the pictures her head was turned buried against me. She is just at that stage where she doesn't like pictures. Not even at home. So for me to expect family pictures I should have just settled with a photoshopped face of little Miss Emmry.
I hope that I can manage to edit and save at least one of the 28 pictures that Kristy took of our family. I only want one for Pete's sake!

After pictures we hit the road for our 6 hour ride home. We had a good little break, now its going to be back to reality.

Tuacan Theatre

Saturday, oct 19

Today was a low key day and an exciting night. After I went to the temple and got back to the hotel, Tyson took the kids to Kristys hotel and everyone just hung out for awhile (swimming, tossed the football, shot hoops, talked... you know, just hung out! ) It was dreamy for me because I got to get completely ready without little munchkins hanging on my legs or worrying about what they were getting into. I took the longest shower ever. I washed my hair AND shaved my legs! that never happens! I usually have to decide which one I am going to have to forget about that day because it wouldn't  fit into the 3.5 minute time frame I have in the shower before kiddos start making havic. Hey, a mom has to shower so she doesnt smell like crusty old peanut butter that is smashed onto her neck and in her hair, but a mom also has a very short time frame to get alot accomplished in the shower. most of the time shaving doesnt make the priority list.
Anyway, when I was all ready Ty came and got me and we all went to the outlets for a little shopping and then to Smash Burger for lunch. I could tell the kids were tired and honestly I was too, so we all took a drive near Snow Canyon and found a fun park for the kids to play at. Luckily Emmry and Trey fell asleep so I stayed in the car and took a little snoozer myself.
Then it was girls night!!! The boys had all the kids and the girls went out!
Judy, Kristy and I went to Tuacan theatre. I have never been there and have had that on my list of 'to dos' for a long time now so I was excited to go. Because the theatre is an outdoor ampitheatre I came prepared with several jackets and blankets to keep me warm. It worked. I didnt get cold at all.
We saw the broadway show Thoughrally Modern Milly. It was super cute. Its set in the 1920 era with a girl from Kansas going to New York with plans to marry rich and that real love doesnt matter, it is all about the money. And yes, Milly marries rich but she didnt know that when she chose to marry for real love rather than money that secretly the 'poor guy' was actually rich. awe so sweet huh :) cute, cute.

Paula's

Friday, Oct. 18

After the game we all went to a cute mexican restaurant called Paulas located high on the hillside off Bluff Street. It had a great view! Although it was not cute that they told us a 20 minute wait to be seated and then 50 minutes later we finally got seated just to have to wait another 30 minutes for our food to come. Sheesh! I guarantee we wont be going back there anytime soon. I told Ty we should have just gone to Cafe Rio!
I hate going out to dinner in the first place with kids. It is so stressful! Emmry ate nothing but chips and Trey was beyond hungry and tired by the time we got seated and got our food. I ended up walking him around and around the table and through the restaurant just to keep him happy. Im so glad that dinner was over and we could go back to our hotel and have some sleep.

Huntsman Senior Games

Friday, oct. 18

Tage had an early release from school today and didnt have a football game tomorrow to we decided to have him ditch school and go on a short family vacation to go watch Tysons Dad play in the Huntsman Senior Softball Games in St. George!
We missed Garys first game of the day, but made it there to watch most of the second game. Sadly they lost so they were out of the tournament. Bummer.
Tyson sister, Kristy, and her family also came to St. George for the weekend. Although they got here yesterday so got to see more of Garys team, "Steel Strong" play. (Cute team name huh....get it?! Still Strong. hahaha. senior softball team.

Buck tooth

Friday, oct 18

one of Treys top teeth popped through last night! He looks SOOOO cute! Its hard to get a picture of a tooth without making him made and getting a picture of him just screaming to see it. But I just wanted to at least document this.
And it wont be long until the other top front tooth will come through. I can see its almost through :) then I will call him buck teeth :)

Full on WALKING!

Monday, oct. 21

It was crazy watching trey this past weekend go from taking a few steps, falling, then crawling. To walking without falling much then standing back up and walking again.
there is no more crawling around for this little man! He is full on walking and is starting to practice the running technique.

Pretty

I was doing my hair and Emmry was sitting on the step by the tub reading her princess horse book. I caught her eye through the mirror and smiled. She said, "Wow! You pretty!"
It made me feel so good. Every once in awhile a mom needs a compliment that she is pretty in her "mom clothes" and ponytails.
Love my sweet Emmry.

Haircut

Oct. 17
I did it. I cut Trey’s hair all by myself today!
I have trimmed up the top and a little off the sides a few times, but really my friend (and hair lady) has cut his hair. This was my first time I got out the hair clippers and did the whole thing.
I went through a lot of M&M’s and ended with a sucker, but I did it and I think it doesn’t look too shabby.
what a stud!

Fell UP the stairs

Oct. 16
Today is just not my day. If creating a pond in my backyard wasn’t bad enough, 30 minutes later I fell up the stairs with Trey in my arms!! Sheesh! I was only 3-4 stairs up and I missed the step. My right foot fell though and both my shins hit the stairs hard. I’m pretty sure my shins took the brunt of the fall but wasn’t sure if Trey hit his head on the railing. I went straight back to the guest house to see if the missionaries were there so they could give Trey a blessing. They were, and Elder Madsen gave him a great blessing of comfort and healing. I’m so lucky to have the missionaries in my own backyard! It’s like having 24/7 access to the priesthood. I love it.

Pumpkin

Oct. 16
I’m wanting to eat my pumpkin spice candle that is burning right now. It smells so heavenly! But I’m not sure that the waxy coating in my mouth would be a good so I made pumpkin cookies instead.
YUM!

1st dentist appointment

Oct. 15
Emmrys first official turn at the dentist today!
Honestly, it was a waste of my time. She got more done last week when it wasn’t even her actual appointment. She wouldn't let them take x-rays, I had to have her sit on my lap just for them to have her open her mouth, but not really be able to examine her teeth. No polishing either. But hey, as long I am saying things that she didn’t do, I should mention that she didn’t cry (was just really stubborn) and she didn’t have any cavities! The only thing she did do was get a bouncy ball from the treasure chest on the way out. Of course, right?! Praise the effort of at least going to the dentist.
I was really hoping that today would have gone a bit smoother, but oh well.

Maybe one of these times we will get more accomplished.

Breakfast for dinner

Muffins for dinner? Why not!
I really was not in the mood to make dinner tonight and I knew that the kids would eat breakfast for dinner so I whipped up some muffins and made scrambled eggs. Done. Oh I love having breakfast for dinner!

Technology

Technology can take over your day if you let it...(but I promise I don't let it. Limited time for me on my computer/iPad and limited time for Emmry with the iPad or movies)
(pic of Em and I on porch w/ tech.)
I wanted to get somethings done on my computer and Emmry wanted to watch My Little Pony. We both got what we wanted AND we got a little fresh air while doing so.

Lin Logs

Emmry always wants me to build her a 'neigh' (horse) house. But we have to do it when Trey is napping otherwise she gets mad because he is ruins it before I really even finish it.
(pic. Emmy w/ linc log house)

Halloween Decorations

I got out the big orange and black bins this morning!
Halloween is here!
(pics of kids getting into bins)

I put a cute little lion costume on Trey. What do you think? Do you think he liked it?
(pic of Trey in lion costume)
Um, no. Your right. He hated it!

Sofie's 3rd birthday party!

One of Emmry's cute little friends turned 3 yesterday. Sofie is obsessed with Disney Princesses just as much as Emmry is with My Little Pony.
It was so fun to see Emmry interact and play with her little friends and enjoy going to a birthday party understanding what it is all about.
I hate that my baby is growing up, but I love that she is at a ridiculously fun age of 3!!!!

Tired Girl

Emmry rarely takes naps. But when this little girl is tired; she is tired and knocked out strong.
I needed to run to Target to grab a few things this afternoon and she started to fall asleep in the car on the way over there (amazing because it is literally a 3 minute drive). I put her in the stroller thinking she would wake up a bit, but no, she was out cold. She woke up just for a second while I put her back in the car seat when I was done at Target and then again for a second when we got home. Being a little after 3:30pm I didn't want her to really take a nap so I put her on the porch couch thinking she would wake up if she was outside and hearing Trey and I play. Oh, but no. She was in a deep snoring sleep for another 20-25 minutes. She must have really needed a nap today.

Dentist

No cavities for me!! (As usual!) Wahoo!!

I decided to bring Emmry to my appointment today just so she could get an idea of what the dentist is really about and have her get to know the hygienist just a little. And if I was lucky the hygienist would at least put the mirror in her mouth along with the explorer and count her teeth.
Well I was lucky! Emmry sat on my lap and let Victoria count her teeth and even scale a couple! It was awesome! But just as she was going to 'brush' her teeth (use that rubber spinning thing with gritty paste that smells like bubble gum) Dr. Oslter came in to check my teeth. (He always compliments over and over how nice my teeth are, thank you very much.) So by the time the Dr. was done Emmry was over it and wouldn't allow Victoria to 'brush' her teeth. Which was fine because I really just wanted her to get familiar with the dentist and planned on making another appointment for Emmry anyway. So no biggie. I just hope next week at her appointment goes just as well, if not better!

Recipe Cards

I made a quick gift for my visiting teacher, Susan Leber, today. She hates to cook. Really, I thought, hate to cook?! I couldn't imagine! I like it! So I thought that I would put together my top 10 dinner meals.
(pic)
She loved it! Best of all I can say it was free and from the heart.

Hey Buddy-bud!

How could you not take a picture of this handsome little stud?!?!
Oh.My.Heck. I love this little man to smithereens!!!!!
(pic)

Rainbow Dash Tutu

Oct.3
Any guesses as to what Emmry wants to dress up as for Halloween?!?!
Duh-........Rainbow Dash!
I had to get creative and figure out how to dress her up as Rainbow Dash.
I decided to make her a rainbow no sew tutu. It was super duper easy and she loves it. I plan on getting a Rainbow Dash iron on so I could make her a T-shirt with Rainbow Dash on it and have her wear the cute tutu.
I hope it turns out to be as cute of a costume as I imagine it to be.

Cabela's

Oct. 2
Tyson is out of town so I had to take Tage to football tonight. I was not looking forward to his 2 hour practice, knowing that the kids were going to be tired before it was over. But we tired to make the best of it and kill some time at Cabela's. We spent an hour in that store. The kids loved it! Lots of animals to look at!
(pic)
Once we were done there I got the kids ready for bed in the parking lot in hopes that they would fall asleep and I could read/journal/ relax the last half of practice in the car with them. Well, that plan only worked half. Emmry fell asleep, but Trey was a monkey and didnt want to go to sleep even after an extra few minutes of driving around to get him to zonk out. That didnt work so I took him out of his car seat and we danced and played around in the car while waiting for Tage to be done. It was not my ideal way of how to spend my evening. I hope that Tyson is going to make the rest of the practices because I just dont want to have to do that again.

His first step!!

A first for the first! :)
October 1st and Trey took his 1st step!
1for 1
Just 3 days shy of his 14 month birthday, Trey took his first 2 giant baby steps tonight.
He's gonna be taking off running any day now. I can feel it.

Dum Dum

Sept 28
Trey had his first sucker today! He loved, loved, loved it! It was for sure a stinky sweet mess to clean up, but well worth it just to see that cute little man smile and enjoy pure sugar.

Doggie Store

Sept. 25
Well if taking my little munchkins to the zoo wasn't enough, we went to the 'doggie store' too!
Cha-ching! Winner! Best Mom award goes to me!
Okay, Im done with the self inflicted ego boost.
I wanted to go to the Apple store in the mall to check out laptops so I made a deal with the kids that if they were good we would go to the 'doggie store' after I was done. I'm pretty sure Trey didnt understand the agreement, but I know Emmry did. She was decent. Trey was a monster. But I took them to the 'doggie store' anyway.
(pic)
I couldnt help but sing this song when I watched Trey.

"How much is that doggie in the window?
The one with the waggly tail
How much is that doggie in the window?
I do hope that doggie is for sale!"

Wild Life World Zoo

Sept 25
I got discount tickets to the Wild Life World Zoo. So the little kids and I took a trip with our best friends Patsy and Bailey!
The kids loved it. Especially the petting zoo.
I didn't plan on having lunch there, but time went by so fast I  knew I should take time for lunch before I put the kids in the car just to have them (hopefully) fall asleep on the way home.
What a fun day it was!

Our Anniversary

Sept. 25
Happy anniversary to my love. 7 years through the good and the bad.
I love you.
(Wedding pic)

I feel bad that I didn't do anything for tyson especially when he told me that I could go buy a laptop (!!!!) (hello Mac here I come....!!!)
Hands down, I have the best hubby ever :)

Space to dance

Sept. 24
Today's late afternoon was a little rough for me. Everyone was a bit grumpy. So to livein up the mood I put in the CD from music makers and started dancing. And guess what?! It worked! Emmry even helped me push the couches back to make more room just like we did the other day for music makers.
Happy dancing kiddos!
(Pic)

Painting buddies

Sept. 24
Emmry and her cute best friend, Bailey are doing some serious painting while Baileys Mom, Patdy and I are working on a Halloween craft.
I'm so happy Emmry has such a cute and sweet friend as Bailey.
(Pic)

3 year old tantrums

Sept 24
Emmry's tantrums have been bad lately. Bad enough I had to start locking her in her room when she starts hitting, kicking and biting. Sad thing is is that girl is so smart it didn't take her long to figure out how to UNlock the bedroom door to get out. Now locking her in isn't working anymore. I might have to flip the lock to the outside of her door.
(Pic Emmry crying)

Fashion panties

Sept. 23
Emmry really wanted to wear her Rainbow Dash pony panties to bed so I put them over top her night time panties (that's what we call her pull-ups). She didn't like that's because she couldn't SEE Rainbow Dash. So she was happy when I put her panties over top her jammie pants.
(Pic)
I didn't know that bedtime could have quite the fashion show! Oh boy do I love my spunky girl to death.

Rebels

Sept 20
Tage switched football teams and is now playing for Arizona Youth Sports League (AYSL) instead of Pop Warner.
So now he plays for the REBELS. His first game was today and he did AWESOME! He made 5 (!!!) touchdowns and then after each touchdown he did a field goal which he made 3 out of the 5. I saw some great blocks and awesome tackles. He was rockin' out there!
I have to admit, unlike AirXpress this game was a lot funner to watch. I guess it's always funner when your son is one of the star players. Hahaha. Although I did feel the game was too long. 2 1/2 hours is a bit much for me. It isn't the NFL people! Seeing that we were crushing the other team I wish they would have just called it game. Oh well.
Final score:
Rebels: 42
Falcons: 0

A REAL baby doll

Sept 20
I watched a friends 2 little kids this afternoon. Emmry thought that the baby was the cutest and best baby doll ever and was in poor Annie's face the whole time. Trey was very curious about her and I had to watch him so he wouldn't grab or pull on her out of interest.
(Pic)

Play doh

Sept. 20
Play-doh is my least favorite activity to do. It makes such a mess when it dries out and gets all crumbly. I pretty much don't allow it in the house and therefore it becomes a winter activity because we can do it outside.
Well Emmry got some play doh from a friend for her birthday and she wanted to play with it so I busted it out and allowed her to play with it up to the table.
Yes, it was messy. I really think I should rethink my thoughts and feelings about this stuff. She loves it so much I should probably allow it more often. It's a good thing winter is approaching, I'm sure she will be playing with this stuff all the time.
(Pic)

Music Makers

Sept. 19
Last week I was talking to my visiting teaching companion, Susan, about music makers. Music makers is about 45 minutes of singing fun songs, dancing around and having story time. The children LOVE it! Susan and another lady did it last year and I was wondering if they were going to do it again this school year. Well it turns out the other lady wasn't planning on doing it this year because her little one is now in kindergarten. I could tell that Susan still wanted to do music makers, but didn't want to do it by herself so I volunteered to do it with her. Seeing that it is only every other week, I'm actually only having it at my house once a month. (Although I am the 'leader' every time) That's not bad at all! I'm actually really excited about it! Emmry loves it and I know this year Trey is going to get more into it and love it too.
So here is our first music makers class of the year at our house!
(Pics)

Pink out day

Sept. 19
Instead of a black out day, Emmry decided a pink out day would be better. I actually agree with her. The color pink is a much more friendly and welcoming color than black.
So, good choice Emmry. Good choice.

Having dinner with the missionaries

Sept. 19
In our ward they started assigning ward members to feed the missionaries (not sure why). Tonight was our turn.
I had asked the missionaries what their favorite home cooked meal was. Elder Madsen (he's from Kansas) likes something called cheesy baked chicken his mom makes and Elder Dunn (from Colorado) loves shepherds pie.
I ended up getting the recipe for the baked chicken and made that for tonight's dinner along with scalloped cheesy potatoes and homemade rolls. Everything looked delicious (and if you asked me it tasted just as good as it looked)
4:15pm rolled around and I still hadn't heard from Ty. Dinner was at 5:00pm and I was getting nervous tyson wasn't going to make it home on time.
Sure enough, 4:45pm Ty calls and says he's still downtown. It takes around 45minutes to drive home depending on traffic. Obviously he wasn't going to make it.
I called the missionaries and told them just to come get a plate of food and take it back to their house since they couldn't come in and stay without tyson here. I apologized repeatedly and told them we would have them over another time. (Let's look on the bright side......good thing they live in my backyard! Hahahaha)
So there you have it. NOT having dinner with the missionaries.

Birthday Cake

Sept 18
There was no question as to what cake I was going to make Emmry.
Rainbow Dash.
She's obsessed. Seriously obsessed.
I can't say it looks absolutely fantastic, but Emmry could at least tell what it was. I'm pretty sure she loved it.
(Pic)

Grizzly Bear/Teddy Bear

Sept 18
Bedtime came and Emmry was a bear. A mean old grizzly bear. I think the constant go go go day along with the excitement made her an over tired little girl. For the first time ever I LOCKED her (yes, that's right. Locked her) in her room because she was hitting, kicking, screaming, biting just being down right mean. Finally she calmed down long enough for me to hold her and sing her a couple bedtime songs. I put her in her bed and she passed out within seconds. She was a super duper tired birthday girl!
Then there was Trey. I felt like I neglected my sweet Trey all day amongst the craziness.
I tried to put him to bed shortly after 8:00pm as I did Emmry, but he was not going for that. So instead of having him cry like crazy I got him out and had some one on one time with my boy. It was the best. We both NEEDED that time together. He was being such a cute cuddly teddy bear. I loved every minute of it. 9:00pm rolled around and I laid him down with no problem. Like I said, I believe we needed that extra time for each other tonight.
(Pic)

She's THREE!

Sept 18
Oh my goodness, oh my goodness. My baby girl is three!
From morning till night, today was for sure an all about Emmry day.
She had waffles (really pancakes. She just calls them waffles for some reason) for breakfast. Sadly lunch got lost among my crazy morning trying to get ready for the party. I know she had animal crackers, dry fruit loops, and V8 fusion juice. Not exactly a well balanced lunch but it's gotta count for something right?! Or maybe you could just call the cake and ice cream her lunch. Dinner didn't get much better either.....cheese pizza. Boy, I'm a winner of a mom today!
Highlights at her party:
Pin the tail on pinkie pie.
Pony tattoos
Opening presents from friends and getting lots and lots of fun things!
Rainbow Dash cake
Getting a new bike and all 6 famous my little pony figurines from mom and dad.

What a blast of a day for my little Miss America!
Oh I love her soooooo much!!!!

Loud TV

Sept 28
This just now....
Me: Tage, for the hundredth time, PLEASE turn down the TV!
Tage: but I can't hear! My ears are all clogged, I need to clean them out.

Crusin'

Sept. 17
Trey can really book it around with this little walker.
(Pic)
He also likes to push around his little red coupe. In fact he prefers to push it rather than be in it.
(Pic)
He moves around pretty quickly when he is holding onto something and he likes to hold my hands. Yes, I said handS.  I try to have him hold just one hand but he stands still and would whine until I give him my other hand then practically takes off running.
He has stood alone for only one second or so before he starts to freak out and then sits down. Not yet has he even tried to take a step on his own.

Cooler cooling off

Sept. 17
I'm trying not to complain, but September is my least favorite month here in Arizona. It is cooling off and feeling more like fall temperatures everywhere else (specifically Utah) and we are still reaching the 100* temperatures here. Ugh.
Even the kids find water wherever possible to cool off.

Piñata decorating

Sept 17
Who's dumb idea was this anyway?!
Oh yeah, that's right....It was mine.
Well boo on me. This stinks.
(Pic)
I know the pic shows Emmry decorating the piñata, but really it was all me. She probably help put a total of 3 papers on.
I hope she enjoys this thing, cuz Im never making a birthday piñata again. Never.
AFTER I started making the piñata I read somewhere thats it's easier to just get regular balloons, put candy in them and then blow them up and hang them on a string so each child could pop their own balloon. Plus othey would all get the same amount of candy and not cause potential drama

Party Piñata Making

Sept. 16
Make a piñata?! Why not?! It can't be that hard.
Let the party begin.
(Pic)
Love my 2 'helpers'. My little mess makers. I ended up putting the kids in the tub half way through because they were covered in that paper mesha stuff and I needed to control them from getting it everywhere.
But now it's outside to dry and we will decorate it tomorrow!

'E' for me

Sept.16
Look, Mom! "E " for me!!!!
(Pic)
Good job Emmry!!
She now will say her name (instead of calling herself 'me') and write the first letter of her name!
Big accomplishments are happening around here with this little/big girl! Big, big stuff! I love watching her learn and grow.

Naked morning walk

Sept 16
Well not completely naked, but pretty darn close. And because they were 'naked' we really didn't go for a 'walk', we more or less just played on the front porch. But at least the morning part is a true statement.

Jar of gold

Sept. 15
Emmry helped me make raspberry jam today.
(Pic)
I like to call it gold because raspberries are expensive to buy (although I did get these ones on sale for 99 cent/ 6oz. container.) and because I love it so much. I know this doesn't make sense, but let's just call it 'red gold jam', okay?! Okay.
I think tomorrow I should make some homemade bread. Oooohhhh that sounds scrumptious right now!

Friday night paint date

Sept. 14
This is what Ty and I like to do on a date.
( paint process pic)
Paint.
Tyson invited a couple of his out-of-state friends to come and stay with us this weekend. (Coming tomorrow) So I guess we otta have a place for guests to sleep huh?!
Last night we made a late night date night of painting happen. And today we searched for a used bed (not mattress of course. Gross) We ended up finding a perfect fitting bed at Goodwill this afternoon.
I want to get a small table for the corner and make curtains. Then I think the guest room will be complete. Simple. A place to rest ones weary head. That's all guest rooms are for right?!

Party City Package!

Sept 13
Emmry's party supply package came today!
Boy oh boy are we getting ready to par-tae!
...she is sooooo excited to turn 3!

Reflect 9/11

Sept.11
Oh how I just love this picture I found on the internet today.....
(Pic)
It really does make me reflect what happened 12 years ago.
And because of that, here is how we reflect today.....
It's a red white and blue day for everyone!

Freckles and an Engine Master

Sept. 10
We went to the library this morning and Emmry was looking into these crazy mirrors and said, "a bye a circles a me" translated meaning she is saying that she has freckles like Tage.
Ahhh so cute she recognizes the little things. I think that they are super cute too!
)picture)
Trey loves the library but to be more specific he really just likes to hang out at the train table the whole time.(pic)

My little party

Invitations to Emmry's ' my little party' have been delivered!!

Moving truck

Sept. 10
I know that this is going to sound completely rude. But I'm going to say it anyway....I am SO happy to see that truck in their driveway!
(Picture)
It is going to be so nice to be able to walk outside my front door and not see a bright red and yellow truck I that driveway!
If you couldn't tell already, we weren't so fond of our neighbors. It really started a month after they moved in when they started building their block wall.
Long story short they started building a block wall around their back property. They put up the wall on the property line without our consent and then once the wall was done told us that we owed them money. After Tyson brushing them off a few times the topic seemed to be dropped. Fast forwarding they put their home up for sale. A month ago they told Ty that they would like to get things situated with the wall before they move. Then 2 weeks ago they presented us with a written invoice stating we owe them $4,000. Ok, I said this was the short story. Bottom line is that after we contacted a lawyer and that got us nowhere tyson just paid the dang neighbors $4,000 and looked at it in a way that we were paying them to move.
Thank goodness they are leaving. For the past year I have felt so uncomfortable walking outside in chance that he was going to ask about money or get mad about something to do with Tage and his son. (One time he came over and cussed at me because his son got hurt when Tage and him were playing football in,his yard. It was his own sons dang fault that he wanted to play Taclke football with a bigger kid! Sheesh.)
I just think his is a shady guy and his girlfriend is just as bad.
I hope a nice family moves in!!

Rigby Pond

Sept. 9
Usually when it rains it pours here. And because the ground is so hard all the rain causes flooding.
It rained so much this morning that I felt like we had a little pond in our front yard.

Dino Pajamas

Sept. 7
Oh I just love one piece jammies on my babies. They look so snugly, comfy, and cute in them. I especially love these Dino ones I picked up at Ross last night. I seriously think I could climb in the crib with him and cuddle him all night.

3

She's 3!!!!!
My baby girl turned 3. She is such a DIVA girl but I absolutely love her to death.
She is obsessed with My Little Pony so we had a my little party party with a few friends. She was in heaven! Loved every minute of it and then some.
We played pin the tail on pinkie pie, received my little pony tattoos, had a piñata that was kid proof so I had swing the vacuum hose to bust it open, opened so many wonderful gifts she absolutely loved from so many awesome friends, and devoured cake and ice cream. I think if I were to say she had a blast; that would be an understatement. I'm pretty sure she enjoyed every stinkin' minute of it.

20 days

It's already been 20 days since I have journaled. Sheesh. Time flies. I have some major. Catching up to do!

Sleeping Opposites

I find it quite funny how Emmry and Trey like to sleep.
Emmry's has always liked a blanket up against her face and me softly running my fingers back and forth on her forehead and cheek. Trey is the complete opposite. He has never liked anything touching his face. Not even my hand. He doesn't like to sleep with any blankets whereas Emmry wants to be completely covered under one. Emmry likes to cuddle to go to sleep, Trey doesn't. They are two completely opposite sleepers. But I love them both the complete same.

It's FRIDAY!

The little kids and I met my friend Patsy and her daughter at the Vistancia pool yesterday. We enjoyed an afternoon of swimming and splashing around!
(Picture)
Neither Emmry or Trey fell asleep on the ride home like I thought they would so we got a snack and just played in the play room for a bit. Then it got close to 4pm which has been the time Trey likes to have an afternoon cat nap. Emmry was getting mean and hitting me so I put her in time out and told her to stay on the black chair while I put Trey down for a nap. Of course she didn't stay on the chair and I heard her go into her room, but after I laid Trey down and went into check on her she was buried under her blanket totally asleep.
(Picture)
I thought she for sure would be up in about 1-2 hours, but oh no, she slept ALL NIGHT long! I say all night, but not really. She came into my room and I let her crawl into bed with me around 3:30am, but then went back to sleep until 6:15am. So it was kinda sorta maybe considered 'all night' hahahaha.  But I even went in around 7pm to get her dressed for bed and put a pull-up on her and she went right back to sleep!) Either I ought to make the pool a daily outing or that girl needed to catch up on some serious sleep time!

AirXpress Game 2

Game 2 was better than last week. They played The Jets which was said to be one of the hardest teams in their division. Tage did good and I saw some good blocks and tackles. I feel like the coaches yell at the boys too much and are super hard on them. They are just kids for crying out loud! I guess this gears them up for NFL at a young age. I get the impression that Tage doesn't want to play on this team. I'm not sure though. Oddly enough another one of Tage's past coaches contacted Tyson today wanting Tage to come play on their team. (NYS division I think) anyway, Tyson is considering it. I'm not sure how I feel about it because 1) to me that's like saying. "I don't like this team, I'm just gonna quit" and 2) we already spend around $400 into this team and if we move to another team we are going to have to spend more money getting him geared up for that team. (I seriously don't understand why they have to have custom clothing and helmets. It's a waste of money if you ask me....but nobody is, so I will just keep my mouth shut.)
Back to today's game.
Finals score
Jets: 28
AirXpress: 14
