Another week gone by...

I have wanted a piano for years now. This year as one of my goals was to play again. But I needed a piano to do that! So I had been on a hard search. Until this week, I found EXACTLY what I wanted! A BRAND NEW piano for the price Ty gave me a limit on! I wanted a Yamaha but my limit couldn't buy a new one so I found a Cable Nelson which is actually the same as a Yamaha. It is built and designed by Yamaha, it's just a lower price! I love it! I literally did a jump of joy after the delivery guys left.

Tage had early release yesterday so we went to the park and had a picnic. I love winters in Arizona!

I already got Valentines treats made! I saw on a crafty blog these cute candy cane heart suckers, so I thought I would try it. Super easy and super cute. What made it even better was that I got a box of 40ct candy canes for $0.19!!!!!!!!!!! Love clearance! Good luck finding any candy canes now though....

Over the past 2 weeks

Wow, I am getting very behind and bad at this blogging stuff. I used to be so good at it! Good thing my computer knows what day I took the pictures...Here are a few updates:

January 6

I did a mini photo shoot in my living room today of Emmry in her blessing dress. We never did take pictures of just her on the night we blessed her so I decided I wanted to do that.

January 8

Tage had his first tackle football game of this season.

January 11

Emmry had a major blow-out. It required a bath and new outfit. I asked Tage to go get something for her to wear and this is what he brought me....

He asked if I liked it and if it matched. All I could say is, "It's perfect. Thanks bud!" He said that he wanted to dress her all in stripes. Head to toe. He succeeded.

Emmry is getting really good at grasping her toys. Everything she holds onto goes straight to her mouth!

January 17

Ty had the day "off " so I put him to "work"! We cleaned the garage. It was a complete disaster! Beautiful day to do so though. I think it was around the low 70*'s!

January 18

Emmry turned 4 months. Wow, time has gone by so quickly!

We went to the Dr. today. She is healthy and happy as can be. She is a petite little squirt. She is going to be tall and skinny.

Her stats:

weight: 12 lbs (18%)

height: 24" (42%)

Head circumference: 39cm (7%)

She did great with her shots. Better than last time even! She only cried for a couple minutes and was back to smiling as I put her in her car seat.

Each day I love her more and more. I don't know if I fathom loving her anymore because I already love her tons! I love watching her grow, learn and develop. We enjoy taking walks together, reading books, watching "Baby Signing Time" and singing "The wheels on the bus." (I think that is her most favorite song right now.)

Well, I think that sums it up! Goal for next week......staying on top of this!

Splish Splash

Emmry has not only graduated to the crib, but to the big tub as well!
It actually happened before the crib, (it was alot easier for me to handle emotionally) but I just now got a picture of it.

And yes, I strategically placed my hand there and told Tyson where to stand to make it an appropriate picture.

She loves her baffy time!

Cousin Emma

My sister Jennifer's daughter, Emma, is only 9 months older than Emmry. They got to meet each other for the first time over Christmas! Emma kept trying to pick Emmry up and really liked her buttons on her jacket. They were really cute together. I hope they will grow up and be best-est of best friends!

It's time

It's probably past time really.

Past time for this little munchkin.....

.....to be sleeping in her own room and not in the bassinet right next to me.

So last night I did it. I put her in her crib.

I thought about getting a blanket and curling up on her bedroom floor, but I resisted. Oh, this was hard for me. I don't want my baby to grow up anymore.

She even woke up from her nap today (in the crib!) a happy, happy camper!

2010 / 2011

2010 was a year of many wonderful, exciting events for our family. We are so blessed. I have a feeling that 2011 will bring just as much joy and happiness to us.

Last night Ty was the party pooper and was in and out of sleep all night, (but I forgave him because he is now sick with the cold I had) and I was the fun Mom. Tage and I played games and ate more junk food than I would like to admit. I even froze my fingers off and lit some fireworks off! )Yes, it gets cold here in AZ! In fact it has been cold, rainy, dreary weather all week. Last night it was down into the high 20's! Brrrrr!)

Ty was awake close to midnight and we all watched the ball drop. Even Emmry was awake. I guess she didn't want to miss out on all the fun of ringing in the new year and getting a new years kiss.
