September

We enjoyed another Onion Days Labor Day!

When Tyson got home from work at 7:30 Labor Day morning we all loaded up and headed to Payson.  Tyson went dove hunting with Steve and then slept the rest of the day.  The rest of us watched the parade with the Provstgaard family.  Then the Cook family met us in West Mountain to pick raspberries.  It was hard work!  We went to lunch at {old} Grama Page's and then to the carnival.  The boys went on all the rides with Crew and each won a prize playing darts.

Callan started preschool on September 2nd.  He goes to school Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday every week from 11-1.  His teacher is Miss Julie.  He loves it.  Although he is very smart, he is my air headed child who is just happy to be there!  Doesn't have a clue what he learned or what his friends names are.  He's just there for a good time.  We love his care free personality!

He prepared his "textured name" to bring on the first day.  C is for crackers.  A is for apple seeds.  L is for lipstick and licorice.  A is for apples (he was dead set on gluing those pom poms on for apples!) and N is for noodles.

He loves his backpack!  There are at least 3 other boys in the class with the same one!
And while he was gone Finley and I enjoyed 20 minutes of alone time!  That's right folks.  There is a 40 minute overlap between Easton and Callan's school.  So by the time I do all the dropping off and picking up we get 20 minutes!  But we'll take what we can get!
Cute boys on a Saturday morning.

Easton was messing around on his friend's treadmill and got some serious road rash!  When it first happened I was worried because I thought his neck was bruised!  But it all just scabbed over and peeled off eventually.  He still has a good scar on that chin part.  We practiced how he would explain to his teacher what happened in his own words so she wouldn't think I beat him up, but don't worry he had a sub that day!

Easton learned to ride a two wheeler!  It only took a couple tries and now he's fearless!
Fin loves noodles!  Ramen noodles and chow mein are his favorites!

The boys finally got beds.  They had been sleeping on mattresses for way too long!  We ordered these from Amazon and it took Tyson and I 5 HOURS to put them together.  Notice he's basically wiped out under the bed and Callan's like, "uh dad?"

We had a few chilly days in September and pretended it was time for cozy clothes!

Baby bum!
Callan had his first field trip at Riverdale Park.  We walked around a trail looking for shapes and made shape snakes.

Easton was the Star of the Week the second week of school.  He did a great job coloring his poster.

He brought home some interesting things from school including an official declaration of his favorite family member: "Tomis"
And a packet where he wrote his name 100% backward.  Don't worry I googled all types of learning disorders, but I think maybe he was just being silly...

I swear I spent the entire month of September scrubbing the blinds in this house.  How do people ever let them get this bad?!?!?!  And how do people sell their house without cleaning them first?!

We had some long nights while dad worked and Fin got his molars.  And Callan, well he just doesn't like to go to bed.  Ever.
There was a tender moment or two.

We had the Cooks over for Sunday dinner.  Collette took some awesome super hero pics for the boys.

We went to Easton's school carnival.
I found Tyson in the backyard tending to his flock in preparation for his Canada trip.  So many people on insta thought these were real.  :)
 We have wolf spiders.
Topping of our September we had some of our Lehi neighbors come have a sleepover.  The boys had missed their friends so much!  We had pizza and popcorn and watched Sheriff Callie's Wild West.  Getting the kids to sleep wasn't easy, but they finally settled down so the moms could have a little time to chat and catch up.  In the morning we had breakfast and went to the Hill Aerospace Museum.

Turns out there is a second building that we never knew existed!  How did we not know about this!  The kids loved dressing up and doing science experiments.  We had a great time!  The next day the boys were an absolute nightmare!  They were banned from ever having a sleepover again!  Maybe next time just a long play date!

August

We moved into our new house on the first of August.  The boys' favorite part is the jetted tub!
Things were crazy that first week!  Tyson was trying to keep up with his new job, I was trying to unpack and deal with all the mess.  The boys were basically feeding themselves (notice the self-made PB&J with the apple and orange Easton chose out for his dinner.)  The boys were trying to adjust to our new home and were extremely exhausted.  On top of it all, we couldn't get the TV to work and hadn't gotten internet service yet.  For a week we tried everything we could think of.  I finally asked a neighbor who told me we can't get regular antenna TV in our area.  This is Easton taking the news...
Rub-a-dub-dub three boys in the tub!
#nevergetsold

We took a short break from the chaos to celebrate our seventh anniversary.  My parents watched the kiddos for us.  Since Tyson's truck registration was expired, we started off the date by waiting for 2 hours to have the safety and emissions done on the truck (which failed...) then we finally went to dinner at Olive Garden.  It never disappoints.  I think I ate 10 breadsticks - note my plump face...
We moved in just before South Weber Country Fair days.  I took the boys to watch the parade and we had a great time.

For part of Country Fair Days there was a children's rodeo.  It was so fun to watch the mutton busting and goats!  The kids had to untie a ribbon off the goat's leg.  So funny!  Later in the week there was a carnival and firework show.  Easton took off ahead of us on our way to the fireworks.  Tyson left for work and the other two boys and I got loaded up in the stroller.  I thought Easton would wait for me at the corner but he was nowhere to be found.  I ran around the carnival for a bit, but it was packed with teenagers cuz there was a dance afterward.  I couldn't really get around pushing the double stroller and I thought there's no way he would have gone in there!  So I ran back home frantically searching for him, but he wasn't there.  I ran back to the carnival still pushing the double stroller and went to the police trailer.  They said they had him and were looking for us in the phonebook.  I felt so stupid!  They said, "didn't you hear us calling your name over the speaker?"  Well, no, no I didn't because I went home!  That sounded terrible!  I just thought there's no way Easton would have gone into that huge crowd!  Turns out Easton saw Tyson driving down the road past the park for work and told the police that his parents just drove off without him!  Ugh!!  It was so embarrassing!

Here's our new house!  Photo taken by Aunt Kate.  We've had lots of visitors.  Many stopped by on their way to the Ogden Temple open house.
We took a day trip back to Lehi to visit the Museum of Natural Curiosity with our friends, the Langstons, during Two Buck Tuesdays.  Fin loved to splash on this water table!  He could have stayed there all day!
Callan being a pirate on the stage.

August was a month of allergies for Easton!  His eyes were so swollen all month!  No medicine would help.  I still don't know what his problem was.  After a few weeks they magically disappeared.

Fin decided he could stand up like the big boys!
The boys and I visited the Treehouse Museum in Ogden.  They LOVED it.  So there's basically a picture overload...
Cowboys
Firefighter
I told Easton to grab some sushi and put on a kimono for this pictures and he was SO embarrassed that I would even suggest something like that.  Then he threw me this peace sign.
Callan loved my idea.
Painting vegetable gardens
Easton was chosen to be in the play, "9 in 1, yum yum." (or something like that)
He played the bear.
King Callan
Tyson and Hayden worked so hard painting our high ceilings!  It was a major pain!
Easton started kindergarten at South Weber Elementary.  His teacher is Mrs. Spencer and he loves it!
We went to the Ogden Temple open house.  It was beautiful!
Fin had his nine month check up.  So big!  He had 6 teeth, (now one month later he has 11 - ha!  It's been a fun month.)
He weighed 19 lbs 12 oz (51st %ile)
28.25" tall (or short) (30 something %ile)
and head circumference 43.5 cm (11th %ile)  he can thank his dad for his tiny head!
Again with the swollen allergy eyes!
Tyson exploded a pop in the NEW freezer just a few short weeks after exploding one in the OLD freezer.
We went on a walk down the Draper trail.  I can't remember what day this was.  There must have been a reason we were all together...

JD sacrificing Fin to the emu
All these years and I had never actually been to see the legendary Draper zebra.
