The Final Final!

We are so done with finals! Tyson took his last one at 5 and I took mine at 7. We are so glad to be done! And I think we did alright. This morning I went to the store early, before the boys were up, and got some donuts for breakfast. Then I saw some of those animal crackers that come in a little box with a handle and I thought that would be a great treat to keep Easton occupied while we crammed all day. So at about 4:00 I told him I had a special treat for him and got him all set up on the couch with his blanket and a primary songs DVD and gave him his treat. I showed him all the animals first and got a gorilla for myself to eat. He started beating his chest and making Tarzan sounds for my gorilla. Then when I took a bite he was really confused. He would not eat the animals!!! He took his bear and walked it around the furniture all over the house for an hour. Finally I was just laughing at him because he was making his bear walk up the walls, on the door, in the dishwasher... I said "Easton, you're supposed to eat those!" So he went around making his bear "eat" the furniture making chewing sounds. He cracks me up.

PS. Thanks everyone for being willing to model! We're going to look at the calendar for the next few weeks and just start calling! It'll be fun!

What we've been up to...

We're so excited for finals to be over next week! By Wednesday we will be all done! (And then I will start all over again the next Monday-which I'm not thrilled about.) We have had a few fun times lately when we haven't been studying. Tyson borrowed Danny's hair cutting kit a little bit after Easter and gave Easton quite the trim.

It was one of those times where I didn't realize how bad it was until I saw this.

The light was really bad in the bathroom and I still can't figure out all the details of this camera. Anyway it turned out pretty cute.
Then we celebrated Danny's birthday. Kelsey and I spent a couple hours designing and making basketball cupcakes. Easton helped frost them.

We learned not to used "whipped" frosting to do designs. They don't hold very well!

It was a surprise party for Danny. (sorry for posting this Kate, you have an evil face on:)

He was surprised.

We got him 4 gallons of ice cream. He's already finished one and a half.

Easton got a turn to blow out the candles. He blows very carefully.

Tyson has been able to go hiking a couple times to get his mind off of school and work. He brought Hayden along for this one.

On Monday we went out to Sizzler with Tyson's family for our brother-in-law Thomas's birthday. I got some birthday money from Tyson's parents that night too for my birthday that's coming up! I'm excited to use it for my upcoming and much needed hair appointment! (It's been over 6 months!) While we were out to dinner we got a phone call and were asked to speak in sacrament this sunday. So that's fantastic! I hate speaking, but I'll live.

That's what we've been up to for now!

Family Pictures

We were finally able to take some pictures yesterday of our family and Easton's Easter outfit. I don't have time to load them all, but you can click on the link to the right for Tyson's Photo Blog to look at them. They turned out pretty cute for running back and forth with a tripod!

Easton's Easter

We had a great Easter/Conference weekend. Although I'm still a little upset about the two being on the same day. I like my conference weekend to be totally free of anything else so I can just RELAX and listen.
My family came to our apartment on Saturday night. While the boys went to priesthood session we dyed Easter eggs. Easton liked it but thought it was kind of weird. Also Easter eggs look like balls. It's a good thing he wasn't successful at throwing any because we found out later that they were not fully cooked...
The Easter bunny brought Easton way too much stuff this year. He got a kite that looks like a duck, a bubble wand, a Book of Mormon story book, a Primary sing-a-long, markers (bad idea), bubbles, candy, chalk, etc... He also got a new outfit and as soon as it gets warm enough we are going to take some family pictures!
After Tyson got home from work on Sunday we headed down to Payson for some giant steaks and the annual Easter egg hunt.
We found lots of candy, toys, and money in the Easter egg hunt in the snow. Grandma helped Easton find his new baseball mit, sippy, etc...

I "won" the Easter egg hunt beating my brother-in-law Thomas by eight cents.
We had a great weekend and loved listening to conference. Easton and I got to spend a lot of quality time together while we watched. He learned about the prophet and apostles and would point to the TV whenever I asked him where they were. He's learning so much! We just love him.
