20/20

Happy birthday to my sister Kelsey.  We are both 20 now.  Yay!  We haven't always been the best of friends (you'll notice there's probably a 15 year gap in the pictures during the "she stole my clothes" stage.  But we are friends now.  We're really excited for her to get married in June and move to Provo!

Meet the Pres.

My dad has pretty sweet job as the public relations manager for Children's Miracle Network (a non-profit organization--don't ask me what that means--that raises money for children's hospitals). Among the many perks are frequent flyer miles, Marriott points, Disney passes (and therefore the ability to take the entire family to Orlando last week-except me, but I'm not jealous), and of course meeting lots of famous people.  This time it's President Obama.  To his left is Miss America 2009.
Each year a child from each state is selected who has spent lots of time in one of their hospitals and has overcome challenges to go meet the President at the White House and also attend a celebration in Orlando.  They get to go to concerts, and Disney World, and all kinds of special events.  Here's all the kids at the White House.  I guess President Obama let them all play on his daughters' new swingset.  I understand there were no "special olympics" comments made at this time.

Weddings!

We have been to so many weddings lately! We had three last weekend and I thought they were all on Saturday. So I read all the invitations and tried to figure out how we could make it to two of the ceremonies and all three receptions. But I only looked at the times because I knew they were on Saturday. It turns out they were on Friday, Saturday, and Tuesday. So my careful planning was for nothing, but it all worked out.

First was Ben and Brooke's and they're the only couple we snagged a picture of.

Then it was Fronk and Sami's. They had a chocolate fountain and Easton got to eat a marshmallow which he LOVED.

The last one was Nina and Dave's. It was up in Sandy so afterwards we went to my parents house and got Easton ready for bed. Kennedi and Collette read him his books.

What a Weekend!

Last weekend was the kind where you start Monday morning off feeling like you didn't have a weekend. But we had lots of fun! Saturday morning we woke up really early to get to Tyson's sister Amanda's wedding in the Salt Lake temple. The sealer was pretty fast and to the point which is kind of nice sometimes. The weather was cold but nice and Thomas and Amanda were so cute and happy. Here's Easton in the outfit (from Desi=)he wore to the temple.

Easton with his cousin Beckham who is about a month older

After the sealing we took pictures and rushed back to Orem for our friends Ben and Brooke's luncheon at the Macaroni Grill. It was really nice and fun to see everyone! We felt bad we had to eat and run back to Payson for Amanda and Thomas's luncheon. After that we thought we would have time for a nap but Easton wouldn't allow that. We ended up just having enough time to change our clothes and head to the reception.

The reception was really nice and everything went really well. Amanda looked beautiful and everyone was happy. Amanda also got Easton this cute tie and little boutonniere. The tie never made it on because his cheeks were too fat to button his shirt all the way up and the boutonniere was on for about 10 seconds before I turned around to find the entire thing in his mouth. They were sure cute though.

Sunday Ty had to work and he really wanted to go fishing. The ice is off of Utah Lake so he wanted to try out his new $10 waders from ebay. It was a really nice night so we bundled up the baby and took off.

Tyson is the little dot in the middle of the lake in this bottom one. He found out once he got clear out there why his really nice waders were only $10. They have a tiny hole in the bum which became quite the problem in icy water.

Easton and I had fun walking around the shore.

And I'm pretty sure he's the cutest little smush ever.

Lunch With a Loved One

Kennedi and Collette invited us to come to "lunch with a loved one" at Alta View Elementary today.  We had fun seeing their school (my old school) and Collette's classroom.  It was pizza day, but I had cold lunch.  While we were there I decided Easton will be homeschooled.

Little Man

Here's just a cute picture of Easton with gel in his hair Sunday.  We couldn't button the poor kid's pants and he HATES getting dressed so rather than fighting through a whole new outfit we just let him go to church unbuttoned.
