Treats

A good friend and ministering sister, Jeanne Dastrup, came to visit me and brought these two yummy treat plates. We had a nice visit catching up with each other.

Veterans Day

My favorite Veterans Day activity is to go listen to the elementary students sing to the Veterans.

This year it was held in the high school auditorium. Their special speaker was Joseph Freeman. (I met Mr. Freeman earlier this year.) They made a short video honoring many of the past veterans from the area. I loved that. 

My favorite thing is to watch the veterans stand as their military song is being sung by the elementary students and watch them being honored.

Primary Program

This was our Sacrament meeting today. The program was very well organized and executed The meeting went so smoothly. All speaking parts went well. 

The music was beautiful! Jeff, Mandy and Beth work so well together. I absolutely love watching Jeff direct the children. He does it with so much love and the signs he uses to help the children remember the words are priceless. They love him and sing so well.

The spirit was strong and I was touched.

Thank you all for your hard work.

Stake RS Activity

This was held tonight. The Stake Relief Society Presidency worked hard to put this together. Thank you ladies for your service to all the sisters of the stake.

We had a yummy dinner of our choice of many soups.

The speaker was very good. She taught us how important charity is in our lives to become more like the Savior and to know Him more personally.

Time drags

Time seems to go so slow while you are waiting for things to happen. I am having my dresser delivered and set up some time this morning and it can't happen soon enough for me. I can't wait to start putting my bedroom back together!

I also pushed my piano out of the way to give more space. It takes my walkway! Can't wait to put it back.Time seems to go so slow while you are waiting for things to happen. Yes, I've started filling it up and could use even more space so it will take time to figure it all out!

Dentist - 6 month checkup

I had my 6 month checkup/cleaning at Lifetime Smiles today. 

 

New Dresser

Several years ago I bought a little dresser from Walmart or KMart that I had to put together. For many years now, the drawers have been off track and didn't open and/or close well at all. I didn't use them because of the difficulty. My room was always a mess as a result. 

I finally lived with that enough and went to the furniture store in Roosevelt yesterday and bought me a chest of drawers. It isn't big and fancy, but has 5 drawers and seems sturdy. It will be delivered on Thursday. I am excited to finally have somewhere to put my clothes.

It cost more than I hoped, but I think it will be worth it! Happy early Christmas to me!

Trick or Treaters

I just had my first trick or treaters tonight. I wonder how many will come by after the party at the fire station and trunk or treat at the park.

I probably had around 50 tonight.
