We finally had a chance to celebrate Meg's birthday tonight! Between travel plans and work schedules, it isn't always easy to get together.
Happy Birthday Meg. We love you!
This blog shows a bit of life in my world. It is a place to put down my thoughts and feelings and communicate with family and/or friends. If you stop by, leave a message so I know you were here!

Break-in Period
Today was such a beautiful day, although very cold still. I for the first time, opened up my moon roof - not the glass though. There wasn't much to see, but to let the light shine in. Here is what I saw.
Break-in was to be 1000 miles... I made it. I was in Duchesne when it turned to 1000 miles!
This was when I returned home!

Primary Activity - February 25
We only had 3 girls today, as the others were taking Jr Cheerleading at the school.
The girls had expressed an interest in learning about other countries so today we learned about the country of Ireland. I showed them a powerpoint presentation that I bought from teacher pay teacher website.
Then had some papers to color and a small booklet "All About Ireland."
Ashley then led us through the steps of a simple drawing of a leprechaun. The drawings turned out so cute!
We played a game like pin the tail on the donkey. We used lips, a kiss, and tried to get it in the outline of the country of Ireland.
Each girl got a St Patricks Day necklace as a prize for doing so well with their "kiss."
We had leprechaun salad and a shamrock float for dessert.
We heard a story from an old issue of the Friend magazine entitled Night of the Wolves.
This activity fit in the categories of Intellectual and Social.

Taxes
Taxes are now finished. This is my first full year of being retired and living on my pension and social security.
Ouch, I owe more money this year! How can that be?
I will have to figure out how to change that for the future. I can’t come up with that much more money each year at tax time.

Activity Day - February 11
The first thing we did for this Activity was to sign all of the Valentines that we made last week. Lizzie will get these delivered to our Ward members that we made them for. We hope they brighten their lives.
We then learned and discussed the importance of kindness and being a good friend. We made little Valentine baskets and then it was time to go home!
There were 16 girls at our activity today!
