First Day Feelings
Seeing all the first day of school photos last week tugged at my heart strings. What a joy it was to see how former students have grown and flourished! I am thankful for the small part that I had in their lives and honestly wish them each the best. May their lives be filled with success and joy!

Kindness Activity Day
Sprinkle with Kindness
We talked about the importance of treating others with kindness. Heavenly Father wants us to love one another and to always be kind. We have opportunities to do this each day, either at home with family members or at school with friends and others around us.

New Gutters
The first three photos show before my gutters were changed out. Some sections were missing totally and notice all the huge holes due to hail. They were not very useful any more.
The last two pictures are after pictures with my new gutters. Thanks to Jared Jenkins for doing an excellent job and being such a good worker.
He went above and beyond in getting work done for me today and I appreciate it so very much. Thank you Jared!

Feeling of retirement
Am I sorry I retired?
I miss the kids and I miss my association with the teachers and staff, but No, I am not sorry!
40 years is a long time to love your job!

Retirement luncheon
It was great having lunch with my newly retired friend, Paula Jenkins, today. I hope this year turns out to be the greatest ever. Best wishes for all of your decisions and choices.

visit
One of my ministering sisters come for a visit today. We had a nice visit. How fun!
We, as a people, don’t take time to visit anymore.

Rainbow
Found this waiting back in Altamont upon returning home from the county fair! I am always in awe at the beauty and wonder of rainbows.
Thanks for inviting me to go to the fair and to spend the day with you Mary and Mandy Gardner! Seeing Mary’s face light up when she ran into people she knew was fun to watch. The talent show was fun to attend. I admire people brave enough to perform.
Dinner from La Carretas was delicious!

Alone
After being gone for 10 days, it has been a little difficult returning home to a quiet, empty home. It has taken several days to readjust to not having other people around. It is so much quieter than I remember.
It was fun being surrounded by people I love for the days I was gone.
I miss small and simple things. One of those things is that every morning Dad would say "Good morning Carol Ann" first thing in the mornings. I am missing that!
