Your in my Thoughts - AHSC #576

Wow, we are in May already, January and February seemed so long but since then time seems to be flying and boom, we are in May! I have the first of the May sketches for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for you today. Since the closure of Close to My Heart, I am working on a bit of stash busting so I pulled out the Hillside Cottage papers to pair with my new Flowers of Beauty stamp set from Stampin' Up!

I have decided to take the leap of faith and join Stampin' Up!, they gave us an incredible offer to join and have been so good to us. It still feels so unreal to me, a definite loss but I am excited about what the future with Stampin' Up! looks like. The ink colours I chose are all now retired CTMH colours of Blue Belle, Canary, Espresso, and New England Ivy.

Celebrate - H2H Get Inky

Hello and Happy Monday! Today I have a card for you for the Heart 2 Heart Challenges Design Team; our challenge this week is to get inky! Use ink on your project in any way shape of or form.

For the challenge, I did some stencilling, stamping, and colouring on this card I made for my daughters grade 8 graduation. I used one of the CTMH Stencils to create the heart background on White Daisy card stock. I used Canary and Flamingo inks for the hearts. For the Party Girl I used our Intense Black ink to stamp her outline. I coloured her in using my Spectrum Noir Tai-blend markers. The colours I used were Tan Blend (hair), Pale Pink and Light Yellow Blend (dress and shoes), Fair skin, and black (soles of shoes). I accidentally coloured the top part of her dress with the darkest of the tri-blend but I went with it and used the lighter on the bottom portion to make it look almost like an organza type of dress. I did not think of it before I took the picture but after I did add a light coat with the clear shimmer brush to give the dress a bit of a sparkle.  I finished it off with Clear Sparkles.

Flowers For You - SOTM BH

Hello and welcome to the Close to My Heart Stamp of the Blog Month for May 2021! Tonight we are featuring projects we have created using the Flowers for You Stamp of the Month. If you are joining me from Melinda Everitt you are in the right spot. If you are starting here, welcome! There are 18 consultants participating and to see what each of us created, just click the links at the bottom of each posts.

Here are the two cards I made using Flowers for You the May Stamp of the Month. The first card is a note card with a hole that was cut out of the top part of the card using the circle thin cut from the shaker thin set. I used the Hillside Cottage papers. On this one I used my Trip-Blend markers: Gold Brown Blend, Antique Pink, Dull Green, and Orange Blend and finished it off with Black Bursts.

My next card I made using just card stock White Daisy and Black. I used the new to CTMH Distress Oxide Inks: Mowed Lawn, Seedless Preserves, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers. I used the new sunburst thin cut to create a stencil and used the blending tools to rub it on and blend it. I stamped the image and then used the Stitched Circles  to cut it out and coloured with my tri-blend markers. I used Orange Blend, Purple Blend, Blue Turquoise Blend, Orange blend and Pale Pink Blend. To finish it off I stamped the Happy Birthday and added some White Dots.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, I welcome any and all feedback. If you would like help with purchasing any of the products mentioned my post today, please contact your local CTMH Maker. If you do not have a CTMH Maker and are in Canada I can absolutely assist you in ordering. It is now time to "hop" on over to Katy Taylor at ScrappinKaty and see what fabulous project she has for you tonight.
