Work. Work. Work.

Work? Who doesn't get stressed up at work? I know, I do. There's just a lot to think and yeah, do. I'm not trying to complain or what. I know I still have a lot to learn since I'm still an intern. A lot of things to learn and remember! Anyway, I hope it gets better everyday.

The working world

At last...after a very, very long break..I manage to get my hands on my blog. (I hope it's a good thing.) I'm in the working world now. It has been, let me see, 3 months and 4 days. It's a hard place to live in, I must say. There's just so much decisions to make. Decisions, decisions, decisions! How am going to make my brain work like that?

So far, it has been good. (I guess so. Not sure how my colleagues see me though.) Not all doctors are the same. That's one of the thing that I learnt. If you're nice to them, they'll in turn treat you the same. Some of them will treat you the other way round - even though you're being extra NICE to them. But, who cares anyway..as long as you're doing your job, and you know that you're doing the RIGHT thing! Nevertheless, they're humans too..I can't blame them for that. They're not perfect.

I guess I'll have varicose veins not long after this. ELVES!!! Oh no! The thought of being on the operation table is not a very nice thing. Imagine letting someone go through you...cutting this and that..(not a very good thought.) Enough of that.

I want to go on a vacation! Breathtaking scenery. Beautiful. Calm. Peaceful. Flowery.

OT

No, not Over Time but Operating Theatre. My first 2 cases yesterday were CABG and CABG. Hehe! Very interesting. Here's one pic of how it looks like...

Erm, I didn't exactly saw this yesterday. Just downloaded this from the net. Looks something like this la. Imagine la your sternum dipotong dengan saw. Then after that, when they put your sternum together, they will 'ikat' it with wire. (Jangan risau, tidak berkarat juga - stainless steel tau!)

Today, I observed L4/L5 Leminectomy and Disectomy.

The cases are: Very Interesting. Tiring. Still, I'm glad to be in OT! Many things to learn and observe bah!

Aarghh...

This place is so the sejuk. Like Kundasang o. I'm currently at a cc near Gurney Plaza. Staying with my foster parents, that's why can balik lambat. Hehe! (Itulah yang bagus tu!) I'm shivering like gila now. Plus, this place is like 'pasar ikan' now. Geramnya aku! Sebabnya, orang-orang di sekeliling aku sedang bermain Dota - famous sini taw!

Hmm...went shopping the whole day today! Haha! From Komtar (Komta' kata org Mlyu cni) to Prangin dan akhir sekali ke Queensbay. Worth it juga la. Tadi pagi, 7am bangun pergi jogging di Gurney drive - konon rajin, but on the way back singgah makan roti canai - 2 piece (ngam ka that if use piece?) dan iced milo. Orang-orang cni kan blurr when you say milo ping. Tah y...

Hmm...what else aa? I'm currently chatting with fwens on ym...

Tender, loving care

3 days working at the medical ward gave me a sense of accomplishment. Well, not so. Nevertheless, it is still did. Nursing a patient who has CVA - Cerebrovascular Vascular Accident with left hemiplegia is not an easy job - especially for me.

Imagine the body size is 3 or 4 times than mine. Yet, colleagues and my mates help me to go through it happily (if you could say so). I hope he takes the advices and health teachings given to him seriously. By the way, he (opps! I've disclose his gender) has other underlying medical diagnosis. Not to mention, some life-threatening diseases.

With much effort, I manage to carry out the interventions that I have planned the day (um, night actually) before. One rule you must always abide: Deliver tender, loving care to all your patients! Hehe!

Classes star ted, but I'm still in the holiday mood. Six months then I'll be in the working field. Can't wait for it - LOL! I'm not talking bout the cash...haha! Experience, that's what I'm looking forward to.

Was late 5 minutes for morning worship just now. Can you believe that?! Late on the first day of class. LOL

I'm at one of the hospital room now. No, I'm not admitted...visiting my foster bro. Admitted due to unknown causes - kidding! I think, food poisoning. I guess so...

Really miss home now...missing all the free times that could be spent on anything. Unlike here. Well, not so actually. But still, I 'like' it here sometimes. I shouldn't say that though. I guess each place has it's own special sumthing, if you could say that.

Erm...yesterday I had showers of blessing. LOL! I was wet alllllll overrr...that's the consequence of not bringing umbrella. As they say, sediakan payung sebelum hujan!
