We have been here, there and everywhere in between during the last 9 weeks. The time has finally arrived to unpack storage and live as a family again—in our own place, with our own things—alas the airlines and their schedules are a fickle thing. And so here we sit waiting, waiting, waiting, hoping and praying that someday soon Tyler will get a call to head back to Dallas for his checkride and to start his IOE (initial operating experience).
This is not ideal.
Instead of moving and settling in to our new place we extended the hold on our apartment and are forced to embrace the gypsy and self storage lifestyle for at least one more month. Lucky for us we have fantastic families who have taken us in and allowed us to invade their homes and lives for who knows how long.
Elizabeth seems to love this life—she is being spoiled by her Grandmas and Grandpas, Aunts and Uncles. She certainly is no worse for the wear (lets just hope we move back to Texas before she out grows all of her cute stuff in storage)…

We're On The Move
After one short year we are preparing once again to pack up the entire contents of our little lives and to move. Where are we off to this year you may ask? We don't know... yet.
Tyler has accepted a position as a first officer flying for American Eagle and starts his 6-8 week training in Dallas on July 18th. Hopefully by the end of his first week we will have an assigned base. Then we will be able to start making official plans for our move.
In the meantime, we are working frantically to pack and prepare our possessions for storage. Since our lease is up at the end of the month it seemed to make little sense for Elizabeth and I to stay here while Tyler is off in Dallas so she and I will live as gypsies for a while staying with family here and there.
I am sad, anxious, excited and overwhelmed at the prospect of leaving Midland. We have been truly blessed to with genuine friends and a fantastic ward family. It breaks my heart to leave to them behind. When we moved here a member of our ward told us that the only reason people move to Midland is for a job and the only reason they stay is for the people. How true that is! We have been blessed to live among some of the kindest, most friendly, loving people we have ever know. The friends we have made and the people we have come to know here, members of our faith and not, truly exemplify the meaning of the word saints.
We will miss those we are leaving behind and yet are so excited for this new chapter of our lives. We have been so fortunate and blessed. So here's to boxes, bubble wrap, and tape-- On to a new adventure!

One Week Can Change Everything
Two major life changing events have taken place in our little family this past week.
Last Monday, the 13th, we became parents to the sweetest baby girl and today Tyler interviewed and was offered a job with American Eagle Airlines. Hooray for our little family! This has been quite a week!
Congrats babe! You have work hard for this and I am so proud of you!
Who would have though a year ago this time we would have a brand new baby and a job offer for the airlines? My-- what can happen in a week!
