Jr Legal Pad Cover

Hello All!!! Hope everyones week is going great! Hope the weather is treating you well! Its starting to cool off here in PA and I'm really enjoying it not being so so hot.

So I wanted to share a project with you today that I have been so addicted to making lately. Its a cover for a Jr. Legal Pad with a pen holder :)  I got this idea from : The Stamp Doc she has a video that shows you how to do it and also puts the dimensions on her site so you can reference it later :)

And there are a few challenges I would like to enter this project into:

Getting Cricky- Happy Fall Y'All
CTVS DT Ch#14

So now for my project :)

This is the front view:
This is the semi inside view:

I had so much fun making this I am creating one for one of the girls in the office i work at and some for my family!
For this I used a piece of orange cardstock for the base.
Then the top layer I used a piece of plain white cardstock and added a piece of my halloween paper from the Halloween collection from the Paper Studio (not sure of the name right now)
Then I added a piece of that same Halloween paper onto the tablet inside.
I also used a cute black feather and some Recollections flowers and a green brad to the front to decorate it a little bit.
Then I stamped it with the K Andrews Set Fall-o-ween

Chocolate Blog Hop!!!

Next to diamonds, chocolate is a girl's best friend and in some cases it may even rank higher than diamonds. This hop takes some neat approaches to chocolate so I hope you can take the time to hop through and see how these crafters expressed their love of chocolate.

You will start at Lorby's World (http://lorbysworld.blogspot.com) but make sure you make it all the way to the end because Tee at One Scrap at a Time is giving away two files from The Cutting Cafe (http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/) to one lucky winner. Tee will have all the details on how to sign up for the drawing when you arrive at her blog.

So get your box of hidden chocolate and enjoy the hop...

So for my project today I made a takeout container holding lots of chocolates YUM! :)
I used the Tags,Bags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge to cut the box...
The sentiment tag was cut with my stampabilities dies, then I added liquid pearls around it and
Stamped it with K Andrew Designs stamps.
I used a little twine so that it could be carried easier by my little niece :)

Enjoy!!

Thank you for coming today and now on to Lisa

Crazy Dog and Cupcakes Blog Hop :)

Welcome to our Crazy Dog and Cupcake Blog Hop!  What started out as a random idea for a blog hop turned into a funny theme!  We threw out some ideas on different "odd observances" in the up coming months ~ one being National Dog Day and the other Cupcake Day ~ everyone seemed to like these two themes so we put it to a vote!  Who would have thought it would have turned into a tie?!  So we voted once more ~ thanks to Pamela's creative thinking, she put the two together.  What could be more fun than working with dogs and cupcakes!  So sit back and enjoy the fun and creative projects the group has put together for you today!
No blog hop would be complete without some fun blog candy to win!  Today we have a very gracious
sponsor ~ KaDoodle Bug Designs is giving one lucky winner $15 in free files!  All you have to do to win the prize is:
Comment on each stop along the way

Watermelon Crawl!!!

Welcome to The Watermelon Crawl Blog Hop! Who doesn’t like to bite into a red, ripe, juicy watermelon on a hot summer day? Yum!!!! If you drive down South, you can find people selling them on the side of the road, out of their pick-up trucks. I think these are the best, because they come right out of the garden.  You will always find a cute watermelon cut out at a baby shower or wedding shower, we eat them on the 4th of July, and we make sherbet and wine. You will find them in our kitchens; on our walls, curtains and cookie jars. And they are so darn fun to craft with.  Today we have some very talented women that want to share their watermelon crafts with you. So come do the Watermelon Crawl with us! You don’t want to miss anything so the beginning of the hop will start at Pamela's Blog http://www.kraftykatstampstudio.blogspot.com

We also have some wonderful Blog Hop Candy sponsored by Jennifer Fox. She will be giving away TWO dust covers ~ 1 for a Cricut Expression and 1 for a Silhouette Cameo!

go to Jennifer’s business page on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/wunderscreations and like the page

Winner will be announced Tuesday, August 21 on the business page.

Here is our line-up in case you get lost,

The Outside of the card:
 The Inside of the card:

This card was so fun to make :) I cut the watermelon from the DoodleCharms Cartridge. The base was cut from Dark Green cardstock and the overlay was cut from a light olive color .. Then I just distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Ink. I made the gems on the edges and the inside from dying them with alcohol ink. I got the idea from another blogger (doubleclickconnections.blogspot.com) TY!!! :) And the sentiments came from K Andrew Designs

Now that you have seen my project... How about some blog candy?!?!?!?!
Since I have been so addicted to making these awesome scrapbooking skittles I am going to give some away :)

Back to School Time

Hello All!!!! Its been a crazy week here... weird weather .... lots to do yikes.. But it is time for another Simply Create Too Challenge... Theme is Back To School : (Stop over and join us!!!)

For this project I created a colored Pencil case :
I attended the UStream for a stamp release over at Pink By Design and we made boxes like these for the project. So i wanted to recreate it and make it into something for a school type vibe :)
I used all kinds of colors of plain cardstock because colored pencils come in all colors.  I Cut the Pencils out using my Gypsy and My Cricut  (there are also pencils on each side of the box. I also created a slider so that the flap of the box would stay shut and I wraped the slider with ribbon and added a pencil to it.
I added glitter to the centers to give them a little bit of bling and then I stamped them with my Pink By Design stamps .. I thought the sentiment was perfect for this box because colored pencils are tons of fun :)

I am also entering this into :

Polka Dot Hop

Umpa. Umpa. Umpa. We are celebrating national polka day but adding a twist. Polka is to music and to DOT so we have created things that have POLKA DOTS on them. How fun! Instead of making Polka music our talented crafters have made things with dots on them.

Start with Lorby's World (http://lorbysworld.blogspot.com) and don't forget to leave a comment and become a follower of hers because she's giving away something or other.

Here are my polka dots...

So for today's project I wanted to get a jump start on my Halloween cards!! So This paper is from the Paper Studio from Jeepers Creepers.. The ribbon is from 3 Girl Jam. I cut circles out on the cricut at 2.25"
The adorable stamps are from Pink By Design I love these cute little images!! :)

Thank you for stopping by and please continue on to Lucy

Jessi's Halfway to 50 Blog Hop!!!

Happy Happy birthday to Jessi,
This is her half way to 50 blog hop, yeah shes 25 and since shes too busy with school n work were throwing a party on the blogs.
25 is not old to a lot of us but remember when you were that age and you felt like it was the end of your young adult life.  For the hop today it's birthday themed of course.
You should of came from Rebecca but if you just happened here head on over to Jessi at My life in Arts n’ crafts. Make sure to follow along all the blogs in the hop and comment as well. Plus I heard a rumor Jessi’s got a giveaway.
For my project I made …..
I created a "Piece of Cake" box for some little goodies to be hidden inside.
I usually make cards but I wanted to do something special for this hop and I thing a piece of cake is a great way to Celebrate Jessi's birthday!! So Happy Birthday Jessi!!

So for the bottom I used a gray base paper and added pink for the layers. The top I used paper from my stash. I decorated the sides with Liquid Pearl and The top I had to make fancy so I used Flowers from Recollections and then added liquid pearl to the center .. Then I wrapped a feather around the flower :)
I hope you enjoyed my project as much as I enjoyed creating it :)

Now its time to Head on over to …Melissa and see what she has in store for you :)

My First Post as a Simply Create To DT Member :)

So I have recently joined the Simply Create Too Design Team and I am so happy to have joined their team! I cant wait to get to know them all and join them and get amazing inspiration from all of their projects :)

For this weeks challenge its #19 Anything goes! I hope you stop over and join us in this challenge!

So for my project I wanted to create something other than a card. So a while ago I got some chickens and build them a wonderful condo lol but it seems like they are outgrowing their condo and need a full size house so I will be building them a new house soon but this one I plan on decorating for them.. I know it sounds a little funny but I have been looking over some designs on chicken coops and there are some very fancy coops out there that are all decked out with decorations and fancy flooring.. So I figure what better way to cut some of the costs of the decorations...than to make them myself :)

So That leads me to my project :

So I took this old barnwood ladder that I had around my house and added screen to the back of it so it was easier to attach the pictures. I cut these images from the Cricut Cartridge Sophisticated
The papers were from a 6x6 pad I believe its from Lost and Found
I added some glitter to each picture ... Then I laminated them to make them easier to wipe clean and so they dont draw damp and get ruined. They were then attached to the screen with a few dabs of hot glue.
I will hang this pretty high on their wall so they dont think its something to hang out on LOL :)
