I used to only have two WIPs at a time. Whatever I was knitting at the time and a pair of socks. The socks would be my take-along knitting. BUT now, I have a ton of things OTN. I have a purse that I need to sew in the zipper - the knitting is done, but it's still a WIP. Then, I have my normal pair of socks for car knitting and such, my mom's birthday shawl, a shawl for me, a scarf that I am doing from random sock yarn. So, whenever I finish a pair of socks I do a row on the scar. So, technically, this project will be OTN for quite some time. Then, because we had a show 2 weeks ago, I started a pair of knit-only socks so I could knit in the dark. So that's six! That's a lot for me! Oh, do I have to count my emergency knitting I stash in my car? If so, that's one more. A dishcloth. I stash emergency knitting in both cars just in case something happens and I don't have knitting with me, or I can't work on my current project. So, that's seven. I need to finish something!

The other night at knitting I told someone that I didn't have any Christmas knitting to do this year. Then I re-thought that. I DO have a shawl to knit my mom for her birthday on December 25. Then I have to knit my nephew something for his January birthday. So, no, I'm not really knitting for Christmas, but I am knitting!

So I probably get more knitting done during the week than the weekend. My weekends are BUSY. And not usually the kind of busy that allows for knitting. So, I really end up knitting more during the week. And, I've also noticed that I get more reading done during the school year than summer. During the summer I am doing stuff. During the school I am swamped, and I NEED time to sit and read. It's the same with knit night. During the summer, I never have time to go. But, during the school year - when my schedule is outta control, I go every week. I find that I really NEED it then. But, during the summer, not so much, I'm must more relaxed and happy with things. So, I don't feel the need to go and breathe.

I really haven't done much knitting the past couple of weeks. It's tough. Life is busy. And, not the kind of busy that allows for knitting. But, school i sstarting, and that means I will soon have some k nitting time with m y knitting class. As long as it goes! Right now, I have only three enrolled, but hopefully that will increase!
