New Blender!

So, for Christmas Weston wrote me a coupon for a Vitamix because when we've been in Sam's Club before he heard me say someday I would like one of them. Well he decided that someday should be now. So yesterday we went to Sam's Club for groceries (and tasters) and a guy from Blendtec was there and we got that blender instead. I'm sooo excited! Now I can easily make fruit smoothies and soups and stuff! yummm..... It was expensive, we are acknowledging that, but we've kind of been saving up for it. : ) Now we have it!

It does mean that I won't be going out to KY with Weston for his interview though. We figured that this was a better investment since he's only going to be there for 1-3 days (depending on the flights he finds). If we move out east for med. school then we'll be able to go to KY more.

For Weston's BDay I got him watch batteries for his SWATCH watches (he's meant to get them for a long time but never has) and new razor heads! Now he's smooth! AND it doesn't hurt him to shave anymore. He also got a cool new card game from his parents that we told them we liked.

But, our life isn't all about gifts as I hope you all know. Even though it has been nice to get some cool new things. : ) This semester has already been sooo much better for me! I haven't liked going back to school and these first 2 weeks have a been a little crazy trying to figure out and arrange my new schedule but it hasn't been NEARLY as stressful as the first 2 weeks last semester! I've still had free time!!!! This semester is going to be soo much better for me! I have my capstone product development class (my group was assigned instant maple syrup for a food storage/camping and we have to come up with a unique dairy product for a dairy product competition. If anyone has any ideas feel free to tell me!), a food sensory class, and a family history class. I'm way excited for the family history class and the product development class has been good so far, I like me group and that makes a HUGE difference! The sensory class is going to be soooo boring! but at least it's only 3 hours a week plus finishing up any hw for it. Then I'm also volunteering at the Utah County Extension Service office here in Provo. I'm helping put together a presentation on canning and may help out with some classes taught to people with food stamps and then a women's group for women who just got released from jail.

The other thing I'm really excited for this semester is that Weston said he'd be willing to be active with me! So at least 3 days a week he's going to do something with me, whether that be racquetball, riding his bike with me while I run, soccer, or pushups/situps and stretches. I'm excited. We played raquetball on Sat. and it was a lot of fun! We didn't know the rules though so we had to go home and look them up for next time. We need to get goggles because I hit him in the face with the ball, luckily his glasses are ok. (anyone know where we can get googles?)

Weston has been working. He's become disenchanted with his job. I definitely can't say that I blame him. They've gotten really stringent and there's a major lack of communication between departments and it doesn't make working there any fun. It's also really hard not to know what's going to happen in our lives after April. It's really frustrating that we haven't heard anything back from anybody! But, he has an interview in Toledo, Ohio next week and we're hoping that goes well.

We also went to the temple on Friday! That was good! It was nice to just sit and ponder and feel the spirit for a couple hours. It was a nice date night. We're trying to make sure to go every month like we're supposed to. We didn't do so well last semester, we only went like once.

Well, hope everyone has a good second half of January!
