My sister will tell you, we are not red people. And I am definitely not a red and green person. So, when I decided to do a more traditional holiday table, I was surprised to discover that I could do it without spending much money. That's right--I already had red and green!
I did purchase these plates at Target on clearance. I saw them online, and when I found out they were melamine, I almost changed my mind. But, eight plates for under $12?
I bought these boxes years ago at Sam's. They are sturdy, beautifully decorated inside, and what you see here is only a third of them. When stacked, they are my height!
I purchased the napkins from Target, also.
I already had this runner, and it turned out
to be long enough for my 60" table.
I found this package of ornaments that I must have bought last year, but never used. I'm sure I bought them for the motorcycle, since Mr. Wonderful has two Harleys!
Don't these salt & pepper shakers look like
they are warming themselves with the candle?
Since there is a brown stripe on the reindeer plates,
I added some sparkly brown ornaments.
When the idea of the boxes as a centerpiece hit me,
I imagined them with gold ribbon streaming down.
Lo and behold, I found exactly what I wanted.
In my own Christmas decorations!
I even found this pre-made bow!
I hope you enjoyed my red and green table!
I like to decorate for Christmas with less
traditional colors, but I must admit,
I had fun with this one!
I had so much fun with my first giveaway!
Just a quick reminder of the prize:
Drum roll, please!
And the winner is...
Patti at Pandora's Box!
