Fishbowl Birthday Fishes Shaker Style Card

Had fun making this shaker style birthday card using a CD storage pocket. Bought the CD storage pockets in a pkg of 50 from Office Max for $7.99.

First I cut a piece of white cardstock 5" x 5" but trimmed it to 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" to fit inside the CD storage pocket. Cut a piece of blue vellum 4 3/4" x 4 3/4". Used Cricut to cut the fishbowl. Used Craftin Desert Divas stamp/die set for the fish, coral (pink pattern Tim Holtz cardstock) & sentiment. Attached the fishbowl to the vellum with foam tape. Used foam tape to attach the fish & coral to the vellum. Placed the scene inside the CD storage pocket. Added the beads. Cut a 2nd fishbowl and used the outer negative for the front of the card.

Fishing You Happy Birthday Seahorse Card

Today, Wed 9/5, I'm hosting the  Simple Salutations Challenge #10 Animal at Speedy TV Mark's Finest Papers (MFP). I'm Guest Designer for the mth of Sept with Perfect Sentiments. The Perfect Sentiments Challenge this wk is All Creatures Great & Small.

Created this Fishing You Happy Birthday Seahorse Card using:
1. Cricut cartridge - Create a Critter 4 1/2" FishBowl, 3" plant
Had the fishbowl welded to make shape card but 2 times I cut (first with white which I always do as a test to get right sizes & see what it will look like & then again with blue) it cut
it incorrectly with the bowl being skewed even though the image on Gypsy I made was ok. Decided to have 2 pieces unwelded and used adhesive to attach the 2 pieces together at top.
2. paper - core'dinations cardstock - 2 shades of blue - fishbowl & water, Kraft cardstock - brown - sand in fishbowl, green cardstock - plant, the Paper Company - blue - bubbles that Sentiments are stamped on
3. plastic - Cuttlebug embossing folder plastic - on front of fishbowl
4. Fiskars circle punches - bubbles
5. Mark's Finest Papers stamps - Oh Crab - Seahorse,
Oh Crab - Sentiment "Fishing You", Big Cats - Sentiment "Happy Birthday", VersaMark, Zing Copper embossing powder, marvy heat tool, Memento Bahama Blue ink
Wanted to make a Birthday Card so I combined the 2 sentiments and the idea of making the bubbles (circles) to stamp the sentiments just came to me.
6. Tim Holtz Paper Distresser - edges Kraft cardstock for sand
7. Tim Holtz Distress Ink salty ocean, brushed corduroy & mowed lawn on fishbowl, sand & plant
8. glitter - blue - on outside edge of plastic on front of fishbowl
