Yay!! it's the end of another semester and time for Christmas break!! It's amazing to look back and think of how slow, yet fast the semester went. I look back and remember the first week of classes with the terrible plane accident and playing at the memorial service, and how it seems like it was ages ago that it happened. Yet the weeks and months blur into one and now it's December-- who'da'thunk? Yet i feel like I did well on all my finals, some were no brainers... but for the ones that seemed like they would be impossible... well let me just say that flash cards do work!! and i still remember some of the information needed!! that's a first :).
Our Winter Concert on December 2 went amazingly well also!! I was a little worried about it... i ment to have more sectionals than we did (i'm section leader for those that didn't know!) but i feel that it all pulled together in the end! of course i haven't listened to it yet... but then i'm always fall off the high that i'm on after listening to it! I am excited for another year in band... we're gonna play awesome pieces, and there's only going to be 5 flutes that we know of!! that's a first in my playing history! i'm still getting used to the idea of so little flutes... of course this is the semester that we need more players because of the difficulty of the pieces!
NE ways... Merry Christmas...

Moonlight and Magnolias
So Saturday Night I was actually social (i know die from shock :), and I used my wonderful sorces to get two tickets for the Shakespearian Festival's "Moonlight and Magnolias." My roomy was really excited as it deals with the writting of the screanplay of "Gone with the wind" (it's her favorite book/movie)... So we went, and i was kinda excited, it sounded funny but i'm not a huge fan of the book.... but the play was really entertaining!
I understood the movie enough to follow along and understand the plot! It takes place three weeks after the original shooting of the film, then the third week the producer fired the screanwriter and the director, hired two new ones and locked all three of them in his office for a week to write the movie! the only problem was that the new screanwritter had never read nor understood the book :)... so the producer and directer acted out each scene for the writer to write!
I really enjoyed it! maybe we can see another play this weekend!! Yay for parents and erik coming down!

MORE TO COME... WHEN I THINK OF THEM! :)
Movie Review!

FORBIDDEN KINGDOM
Fab. movie! oh my goodness, i just loved it! It stars Jackie Chan AND Jet Li... what more do you need to know?!?! It was worth it just to see those two go at it!
It's about an ancient Chinese Legend where the Monkey King is an all powerful immortal with his "golden staff" and how he and the Jade Warlord have a competition to see who is the better warrior... the Warlord cheats and has the Monkey King set aside his staff to "go hand to hand" and then turned him into a jade statue.... but before he did the Monkey King sent his staff out into the world to wait for the Seeker to come and set him free!... Jason finds it in a Chinese Pawn Shop, and it takes him back to ancient china where he and a band of "misfits" a drunk scholar (Chan), a warrior seeking revenge (Liu), and a man who has spent half his life seeking the staff (Li) get together to help the seeker set the monkey king free!

The Silent Monk: It's sinful if you don't share.
