Memorial Day Events

We started off the Memorial Day weekend by visiting the cemetery to put up windmills at the graves of some of our loved ones.
The boys were a big help and they enjoyed helping me place all the windmills.
After we finished putting out all the windmills at the cemetery we loaded up the trailers and headed for Lake Fork for a weekend of camping. We got a great camp site that was next to the river and had a lot of green grass. Every day camping is about the same, get up, eat breakfast, go ride the atvs, lunch, games and playing around camp, dinner and evenings around the camp fire.
Lincoln loves to ride the atvs.
One night we even had our very own drive in.The kids had a fun time watching Brave under the stars.
Talan and Crew spending a lazy afternoon playing cars.
I don't think Linx stayed clean for 5 minutes while we were up camping.Oh well he had fun playing in the dirt.
One afternoon we even made some moon dough to keep the kids entertained.
The moon dough was messy but the kids had a great time playing in it.
 Best Buds.
There were many afternoons and late nights spent playing games while we were up camping
Addy and Talan spent a few hours playing Checkers.
We spent way too much time playing Nerts.
We decided to go for a ride down to Fairview to get an ice cream.
We went to Roger's Home of the Bishop Shake, but no one was daring enough to try it.
Dirty, smelling of campfire but having a great time at Roger's.
Linx chowing down on his ice cream.
We had a great time camping, the only sad part was leaving our picnic table. Hopefully some lucky camper will enjoy it as much as we have.

O Holy Night

We went to our ward Christmas party and it was so nice. I was amazed at how well it was decorated. The tables were all lite with candles and the manger scene was beautiful. They performed the Nativity Story and sang songs through out the telling. We have some talented people in our ward.
They also prepared a nice dinner of ham, rolls, cheesy potatoes, green salads rolls and of course dessert.
We all had an enjoyable evening and we are so grateful to all who put in so much effort in preparing such a wonderful evening. It truly portrayed the true spirit of Christmas, being family and friends and remembering the birth of Christ.
After the ward Christmas Party we decided to make some rice krispy treats. Lincoln is my little helper. He loves to help me make dinner and wash the dishes.
Talan and I had a hard time keeping the marshmallows from sticking to our fingers, but we finally got them formed into balls.
Jason and I ready to decorate our Rice Krispy Ornaments.
Enough sugar on that counter to kill us all.
 The boys and their ordainment.
Now it is time to snuggle up, watch Spiderman and enjoys our treats. Is there a better way to spend a cold, snowy winter night. I don't think so.
It was a cold and snowy day so Talan and I decided to do a craft project. We chose to make snowflakes out of Popsicle sticks.
We had a great time gluing and painting. Talan always wants to help me no matter what I am doing.
We hung it on our front door.I think that they turned out so cute.
It was time for our annual trip to see the Festival of Lights with Grandma and Grandpa Christensen. Talan is ready with his binoculars and his snuggie.
Lincoln having fun wearing cousin Brayden's hat.
All three boys were so excited to see the lights.
It is such a fun tradition to all pile in Grandma and Grandpa's car and listen to Christmas Music while driving through the lights.
Who was more excited, Jason or the boys. Lol
The lights were so pretty shining through the snow. We have not had snow for the last couple of years so it was so pretty to see them shining through it.
Lincoln was back and forth over the seat. He couldn't decided if it was better with mom and dad or the boys.
Tons of lights, we always drive through twice.
Jason and Lincoln giving me their best growl.
We even got to see the big guy.
Every year we stop and get ice cream. Most people would stop for hot chocolate but not us.
 Kady and Malena.
Brayden and Talan trying to decide what kind of ice cream to choose.
 Love the face Talan.
Of course the boys had to sit with their favorite cousin Malena.
All the boys wanted to sit on Malena's lap. They sure do love her.
I love this time of year because there are so many fun activities to do with your friends and family. We never get done all the things that we want to but we still have a good time trying.
