Wedding gift

This picture was done as a wedding gift from my inlaws for a friend. I just had a few days to work on it, but it turned out pretty well. Unfortunately I had to work on Jenn's birthday to finish the portrait in time. Sorry, Jenn, but thanks for being such an understanding and loving wife.

Anniversary

This was done for a surprise anniversary gift. The man was great to work with, and seems to have a great relationship with his wife. I really like the way the outdoors show the contrast between light and dark. I also added a custom background since the background from the photograph was not very distinct.

Jenn & Jordan

This is a self-portrait with my beautiful wife Jennifer. This was taken by some friends at a Jazz game they got us tickets for. It was a lot of fun, and I liked the picture, so I decided it would make a good drawing for our family.

Just playing around!

I am showing these off just because he says it's not that great! I think they're awesome!

Dinomania

As many of you know already, my son is obsessed with dinosaurs. My wife gave me the idea of creating a series of dinosaur pictures for his room. This is the first I've completed. Triceratops is one of his favorites.

The Burton's

I have been working on a commission structure to start doing more portraits for pay, when a couple from our ward was asking to pay someone for a portrait for their Grandparent's 50th anniversary. It turns out their grandparents actually live in the same town as mine and Jenn's parents. I'm happy with how it turned out.

Choo choo train

I started drawing this in church for Braden and liked how it turned out, so I went home and made a larger version, outlined it with marker, then Jen added the color on the computer. I started this at about the same time as my children's book.

Tanner Pehl

This drawing was made for Tanner's family. Tanner was tragically killed earlier this year, and this was meant as a memorial for the family. I feel it was a great blessing to be able to create something meaningful for a family in need of strength at a difficult time.

Sorry we've been missing in action - Jordan's finished several projects lately, but these are the only 2 we'll be posting right now. The first one is my grandparents on their wedding day. We gave them the original for their 50th anniversary. This is a picture of the copy, so it's not nearly as good as the original, but it's still great.

This one is from a picture he took of us at the hospital. Kaylie was only a few hours old, and she just kept staring up at me. It was such a special moment, and looking at this drawing reminds me of all those first few tender moments getting to know her.

Well, I love this picture, but not just because it's me. When I see it, I just get all these feelings of how grateful I am to be a mommie. It was also one of those rare occasions that Braden let me cuddle him! I can't believe how big he is now!
This one is cool, mainly because it's John Stockton, and it's autographed by him! Jordan's grandma lives in St. George and when the Jazz would come down for bball camp in the summer, John got his hair cut where Grandma did. So, she took him this picture one day, and John signed it! So cool, huh? Jordan was 13 or so when he did this drawing.

Well, I hope Kyle and Janell are okay that we're showing this. They are some friends of ours from the Trailer Court days! We went to visit them last summer, and took this picture, then Jordan drew it for them for Christmas. It looks just like them!

Great drawings

This is a portrait of a cute old couple from Jordan's mission. It looks exactly like them! Aren't they so cute?!
This is another older one of Jordan's drawings, but it's still so good. I think of it as Nephi, but it's really just a rock climber!

More stuff

Here's a self portrait that Jordan did a long time ago - isn't he cute?! Jordan's decided that the Aggies need a new logo and ad - here's his design!

Happy Birthday

This is Jordan's sister Lydia. He put this on a card and gave it to me when we had just started dating, on my 24th birthday. I thought it was cute, until I realized that he had drawn it. Then I was amazed, and decided that there was a lot more to him than I knew, and I wanted to know more. That's why I kept going out with him; now look where we are!

Well, here's the first post for Jordan's Art Blog. I wanted a place to show off his work, and for him to play with the idea of doing art lessons. Some of these pictures aren't loading very well, and are a little blurry, but you'll get the general idea. Let us know what you think of them!
