Why does the past keep coming back to haunt me?
All I ask of you now is to just let me go.
Being stuck in between is such a sucky feeling.

有时候,该放就放开。
装作没事不是解决的方法。

Made banana cupcakes using the electronic whisk that evil clan got me!
Made it so much easier and faster! Hahaaa
Tried a new thing that i read over the internet.
Marshmallow fondant decorations!

Took me very long to play with this hard to mould "dough"
Cos its made of marshmallows, its super delicate! Its probably a miracle that i could mold into the above shapes with my hands only. Pardon the ugly work..my first time playing with this.
Think some cookie cutter shapes would make my life easier..heh..

Rose... its surprisingly way easier to make than normal 5 petal flowers and stars.

Its a good destressing chore though. Tough but fun too.. =)
Its starting to melt on the cupcakes.. hopefully can survive when it reaches tohko and gang's hands. Haha.. if not i'd scrape it off and let them have de cupcakes without the decors.

Meanwhile back to hitting the books!

Suddenly i feel my bloggie is getting a tad boring without pictures for so long.
Eh! But wait hor....i know my UK trip photos are taking way longer. I haven't been able to finish it.
But it'll come out lar. I wanna put it up nicely. Been too busy lately with work and studies and extra load at work to bring home..haiz...
Please be more patient ok.. i still have tons of pictures from other trips haven't put up yet.
Let me finish this really hectic year and the pictures will be out! =)

Meanwhile... make to do with randomised pictures!

Attended my bro's graduation on the 28th Aug...

The graduation ceremony hall at SIM

Went out with my bunch of lao peng you, old old besties of mine on my bday.
We had japanese buffet at a restaurant. Sashimi was nice and the rest was..erm..so-so.
After that i call upon my buddy aka my ahmad(driver =p ) and he brought all of us to Mt Faber where we had some *ahem...alcoholic drinks. The ambiance was nice with some live music going on. We had a good view of SG's night scene from the top.

My drink... looks romantic with the candle "lights"

Open air sitting...

TCC's tiramisu! Mmmmm...nice! And the one further away is Dark Devotion - Chocolate foudant cake which is utterly sinfully nice. =) I'm in love with tcc's food.

My cakey ventures. As I don't own an oven, I find alternative ways to make cakes. Hehee
After the steamed chocolate cake, I decided to do some other variations! I do these experimentations whenever i'm stressed! A very good stress reliever.
My guinea pigs (you know who you are!) are not complaining either as they love to eat.
But my bro remains as my main guinea pig cos he's picky and has sensitive taste buds.

Steamed banana cupcakes!
Got several requests to make this again and again from my colleagues. =)
This one passed my taste test. And bro's taste buds too! hehee.
Verdict: Very very nice!

Steamed mango cupcakes!
With real bits of mango inside. My parents loved this one alot.
But somehow i'm not very satisfied with this one...its nice but but..something's missing.
My parents say nothing's wrong its very nice and fragrant but i think can improve more =)
My dad chowed down my bro's share so my bro didnt get to eat haha.
Verdict: Nice and fragrant but can be improved.

I did another one using pumpkin. Cos my mum bought a bunch of pumpkins and didn't know what to deal with it so she chuck it to me to make more cupcakes for her to eat.
I warned her that it may not turn out nice cos i'm not sure how to adjust the recipe to accommodate to the dense nature of pumpkin...so i just agar agar...
I didn't managed to take a picture of it. But it looks similar to the mango one...cos pumpkin also yellow yellow one.
Taste wise, like custard with slight pumpkin flavour... the pumpkin didn't have a strong flavour but somehow it tastes like a really nice custard cupcake! Even my picky bro also likes it.
My mum loves it too. She wanted to buy her favourite yam and sweet potato next time.... *faint...

Chocolate cupcake!

This is a totally different recipe from the steamed chocolate cake that i made last time.
And guess what, this is not steamed.
Not baked.
This might come as a surprise to most of you...its.....
MICROWAVED!
Yes... microwave chocolate cupcakes.
I found the recipe online and did experiment with it.
Modified the recipe and made very very small batch...cos i'm not sure whether it'll work or not.
As it was just an experiement, i didn't bother to even out the surface when I poured the batter into the cupcake holder. So its ugly looking heheee..
I thought it would surely fail but it turned out really good for a microwaved version.
I was expecting a rock lor.. cos microwave tends to dry out food.
My mum tried to reheat some buns using microwave and they became rocks instead.
But this turned out soft and nice. Its slightly drier than the steamed moist chocolate cake but still quite nice. Comparing the taste, the steamed version wins lar but this microwaved one also not bad.

The amazing part is that this muffin takes 5mins to mix and less than 2mins of microwave time.
No eggs are used for this version although most online recipes calls for it.
My bro was my guinea pig and even though he said its not as nice as the steamed version, he still chowed down everything. So I had none left for my other guinea pigs like tohko and ah sing!
Verdict: Bro says its very nice for a microwaved cupcake.

I'd experiment with other stuffs when i get my bday gift =P heheeee

Meanwhile..its back to the books. Exams are creeping nearer and nearer.

Fatigue.
Muscle ache.
From my calves to my thighs... and my pectoral muscles to my biceps.
I'm so so so tired.
Monday was called back... just nice as i reached the doorsteps of my house.
Nice timing.. hahaaa..
A & E was overcrowded in a really scary way.
Actually its my first time seeing such scene cos when i'm on shift... i'm usually not that toxic.
Got stacks and stacks and stacks of forms.. and even the EMD prof himself pushed his patient in and out for x-rays!
Suddenly we're such highly demanded creatures.
"Can do my patient first?? "
"Nooo nooo... i come first... you do my patient first..."
Haha.. its funny to see how the doctors fight over us. :P

Monday was the day that pushed my limits.
I maybe a workaholic...but..working from 830am to 6pm,
645pm reached home and was called back.
Left the warzone at 1115pm.
Reached home 1145pm.
Went to sleep at nearly 1am.
Woke up at 630am to prepare for work at 830am.
Wooo...

Its like...mentally you can still function, but physically you can't.
I ran most of the time in between x-ray shots just so that i can clear faster.
And thats on top of doing portable x-rays for the whole day.
And next few days still doing portable. Imagine how my muscle ache would be.

Ahhh.. its just a whining post.
:p

Let bygones be bygones. We'll live happier this way. =)
When something bad happens, something good comes along the way to soothe it.
Let me take a rest first before entering the new door.
Peace!

Finally finished my assignment. Still have one more forum assignments to deal with.
Yay! jia you!

I couldn't help but i have to say thank YOU... for whatever divine help you have cast upon me.
Amitabha.

For a moment, i almost wanted to confront someone.
But think again, you're forgiven by me.
Don't think that when I didn't say anything, means I don't know what you're doing behind my back.
Heaven has its way to let me know.
Unexpected ways.
You can try to hide but the truth will always find its way out.
I bet you didn't know that I know. Hahaha!
Bad people will get bad karma one. Just be careful wor.
Bastards will get their retribution.
Just hope that you'd turn back before its too late.
Like i've said before, learn to treat others sincerely.

Why the sudden post about this? Hah...
'Cos i finally found the last link to complete the story which explains everything very clearly to me. I'm glad I chose to "run away" at such initial part.
I'm happy to have solved such a challenging mystery! Haha..
Oh.. don't bother to ask me what.. its secret. :p

If i had written this post way earlier, i would have already wrote alot of curses to curse this bastard. But no.. i wont do it now for i have forgiven you already.
I have absolutely nothing to do with you anymore.

Thank goodness! =D

aye aye... i know its approaching.. but but..dun remind me that i'm getting older can!!
LOL

For the first time, somehow...i really don't look forward to the bday.
Just feel something weighing down on me this year.
心好承重喔!
Maybe cos of the multiple "trauma"...
Let me get through this stupid assignment thats sooo hard for a math clutz like me..then maybe i'd feel better. Heh~

Exams in november!

Okok.. soo the last remaining months of 2008 MAY NOT be bad for me.
I'm just being pessimistic 'cos from the start of mid 2008 till now, its been quite rocky.
From work to study to personal life... they just love to collate all together.
Events just happen all together around the same time.
I'm pretty surprised that I'm still around and jumping about.
Almost every part of me, my physical self, my heart and my brain has been broken.
Not literally of course.

But i never had so many parts of me broken at the same time.
Too bad its not as easy as getting a surgeon to stitch you back up.
I guess i need a break from all these chaos and heal slowly from all these trauma.

Today, i realised that patience is really quite subjective.
I could spend two days guiding and reciting the same thing over and over again to a very very slow learner and feel absolutely good about it.
But i couldn't do the same to an average learner who keep asking the same question alot of times for two days! It becomes annoying too when the average learner likes to gei kiang and bully others.
Aiyoh.. 好人真难找!

Doesn't it seem to always happen this way?
Like.. when you finally closed a door to something and needed time for some peace...
And then! The other door is opened and trying to pull you into it when you don't want to.

Argh!

I need time to fully recover and recharge...from everything and anything that has happened within the past month.
I guess the last half of 2008 just isn't right for me.
Nothing seems to work out.
Guess its sheer bad luck Hahaaa...

Never mind.. i'd survive!
If i don't, hmmmm... see how lar! :p
