I think i'm really kinda stressed out by work. Haha....
The night after I finished my CT head training, I had a terrible nightmare of this horrible auntie who kept moving her head during the scan. I kept telling her not to move over and over again and she kept moving her head! In the dream, I was sooooo frustrated and wanted to give up already.
Thank gawd I woke up. LoL.
And guess what? Yesterday night, after knowing that I'm going to start night shift next month, I had another nightmare again.
This time it also involves CT head scans and that horrible auntie is back! ARRRRGHHH!!!
I dreamt that I was on night shift and had to do that auntie's CT head scan. And she kept moving even though I told her not to.
(And yes, if you're wondering, the auntie can understand me fully cos she can reply to my questions/instructions) She can even miraculously lift up her head even though I've taped her forehead to the headrest. OMG. And you know what? She'll always do that just when I'm about to start the scan. KNS.
I was sooo frustrated that I started scolding the auntie. Haha.
Eventually, I canceled the scan. I refused to do it until they could get her head still!
How terrible!!
However, in real situations, i guess it would be totally different. Docs wont just stand there and watch me helplessly cos they need to see the scan too! Heh~
Anyways, my shift will be with ah chua! Heh! Good! And guess who is our on-call person during our nights? Its TOHKO! MUAHAHAHA. *evil grinz*
Ah chua say she'll definitely call tohko back to entertain us. HAHA.
So Tohko must be prepared ok? hehehee...
This sunday i'm on morning shift. Afterwhich I'm on PM shift for the whole week stationed in OT(again!) and A&E.
For the first time, I actually hope the Hungry Ghost month can last longer. Hahaha...
More people stay in during late hours. Then got less chances of accidents hor? :p

Bwahaha.
I survived OT with the in-charge away on holidays. I thought I couldn't handle it without him around. But one thing's for sure. Your partner matters ALOT.
My OT partner took care of me pretty well. Always shoo'ing me to go for lunch and taking over my cases when I forget to eat. Hah~
We back each other up when there's more than 2 theatres running cocurrently. Whoever is able to cover will rush to whichever theatre that's calling for us.
Working style wise, we are actually quite different.
But we got along pretty well and got through the whole week of OT. I'm happy.
Didn't get scoldings from surgeons which was good news haha.
The ppl in OT were pretty helpful when they saw me struggling with the machine... the heavy pink one. I often got helpers who volunteer to push the machine for me. heh~
Even the technicians also commented that the machine is damn heavy!
Ahhh... i feel my arms growing bigger already.
Done my first CT head today. Was pretty slow and clumsy at the computer though.
Will need more practice with all the protocols. But overall, quite easy to learn.
Next week more CT head training and then to Fluoroscopy. Hopefully I can neutralise the "toxic" doctor i'm working with so that we won't be overloaded with cases! Haha
Shift work going to start next sunday.
Seems like my fellow mates have survived all the shifts with ease.
Hope that its the same for me.
Take care everyone! =)

Haiz.. sianz. Stressed. I know monday hasn't come yet.. but... hai ya...
Anyways, I volunteered to be scanned by a fellow colleague as she wanted to practise her technique. Heh~ turned out that I had 3 separated renal pelvis... but dunno if the ureters are separated. Probably all connect into one. Hee~
yup.... i'd be praying hard that nothing goes wrong next week!
sigh.

Hi peeps!
Surprise to see me blog again huh. hahaha.
I've had feedbacks like my bloggie posts have been getting shorter and shorter and briefer(if there's such a word. heh).
But frequency has so far stayed the same lor. At least once a week leh XH! Haha.
Anyways, my posts now revolves mostly on work cos thats how I spend most of my life. Haha~
Ok lar... I did go out once or twice a week depending on where I'm rotated to.
Just spent my saturday afternoon out with ShuEr and we talked, shopped and ate. Thats what I need to destress after doing OT on sat morning.
Speaking of that, I thought I could take a breather and practise my technique on sat cos usually don't have OT cases scheduled. Who knows... the first thing in the morning at 750am (I start at 8am) my pager rang! Kaoz!
It was an ORIF case and they had already started the surgery. Ok fine... So i literally ran in and got changed. I had to re-orientate myself cos its been long since I last entered OT. Was kinda praying that nothing will go wrong cos I'm the only one scheduled to work in OT that morning.
When the case finished, I hung around for awhile before heading back to dept to settle some matters.
I thought everything was quiet for that moment and decided to head back to switch off everything and help out with the Inpatient side.
Guess what? Just before my fingers touch the OFF button, my pager rang again. DARN!
The timing damn ZHUN(accurate) lor!
This time is a portacath insertion. Ok... its not so bad lar.
But! In the midst of the procedure, my pager rang again. Wa lau....
I had to call them and tell them to wait for me cos i'm doing a case. They gave me 5mins.
-_-"
Ok lor... better than nothing. Luckily the case ended soon after that. But I still had to run to get the machine...etc.
By the time I settled everything, it was almost 12pm.
You know.. the temperature in OT is freaking cold to alot of peeps and i actually sweated under that temp lor! All that running.... gosh.
Anyways, I was flipping through my things today and saw my grad photo.
Yup.. so here it is... not exactly a glam shot. LoL.

And then I discovered something.

Bwahahaa.. I was grabbing his index finger. Thats probably why his fingers were in such awkward position. *evil laughs*
But seriously, I had no idea. Really! And I didn't grab the folder, merely just holding it. Its probably coincidence that the camera managed to capture that. Haha.
Gotta go sleep sooon. ciao peeps! =)
