Christmas Lights in Mesa, AZ

We drove 40 minutes south to see the Christmas lights at the Mesa Temple.  We brought Cambri's best friend, Emma, and had a lot of fun.  However, it was SUPER crowded!...a little too claustrophobic for Ryan and a little nerving for me.  But, it was fun to see the lights and improve our Christmas Spirit!

On the way back, we passed my favorite part of Mesa...all the bronze and ceramic statues they have.  This is a BRIGHT pink ceramic love sofa.  I just had to stop and take pictures!!!

Dec 4th...A day to remember

On December 4, 2010, Cambri Reiko Craner was baptized by her father, into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  I am so happy she chose to become a member of the Church and also to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost to be her constant companion.  She's such a sweetheart and I love her so much!

Cambri was baptized on the same day as her cousin, Gavin.  They are only 1 month apart and have grown up together.  Every picture we have visiting family, Cambri and Adelie are seen together.  They are good friends and I'm happy they could share this happy day!

My parents and Kimi made it!!

I love my sister, Kimi!

We had a LOOOOONG drive home!  14+ hours!!!

No Longer the Scrooge

It's hard to be in the festive spirit when there's no cold weather, no inversion in the air, no overcast skies,  no frost on the cars, etc.  As a result, I've repeatedly thought of a small Christmas, with little preparation by myself, thinking of how I could get the holidays over with with no work on my part!

However, I went through my Christmas tupperwares, set a few things up, drove 700+ miles to get a fresh Idaho Christmas tree to AZ...and voila'...I have the festive spirit!
A wooden Nativity set that my mom bought for me.  My favorite one!!!

Our little Christmas tree...had to do until the real one came weeks later.

Hanging the stockings on the railings is a Miyasaki tradition...something I was happy to repeat!

When we finally got our tree from the northern tundra, we had a lot of fun decorating it!  It smells so wonderful!

Merry Christmas!!!
