My 1st ATC card

Ingredients

Tim Holtz Distress inks in: Tea Dye, Scattered Straw, Antique Linen, and Old Paper; Hero Arts stamp in "Time to stamp"; Tim Holtz Visual Artistry Collection Stamper Anonymous in "Artful Things" for the angels and the phrase; Hero Arts "Old Letter Writing: wooden stamp; Craftworkcards Candi in Antique Newsprint; Vellum; file folder piece cut down to 2.5"x3.5" for the ATC base.

1) Using Scattered Straw and Antique Lined, ink the base with a blending tool, I use cosmetic wedges.  I also inked the backside. Use your edge distresser to create a tattered edge.Use Tea Dye to ink up the edges.
2) Using Tea Dye, ink and stamp with the clock stamp. Also ink and stamp the wooden stamp along the left side of the base, I didn't go all the way from top to bottom, I stopped about 80% of the way down.
3) Using Old Paper ink, stamp half the angel stamp onto the upper right of the base.
4) Ink up, using all the inks and the blending tool, the Candi piece. adhere using pop dots and/or glue dots. I used both to get the dimension and the grip/hold.
5) Stamp the "learn.." phrase onto a piece of vellum, cut just enough of the vellum to create an even border around the phrase. adhere using glue dots, folding the in half so as not to be to obvious through the vellum.

In all honesty, this took me about 45 minutes to do, because I was pulling things as I went and I didn't know what I was doing. LOL. I'm sure if I wanted to replicate it would take me about 10 minutes to do.

Here is the final product! I liked it So much, I am already working on a second one.

The phrase reads: "Learn to pause... or nothing worthwhile will catch up to you."

Happy Crafting...

Blitsy order received on 12/29/11

Hubby just brought in our mail and I was so excited to see my Blitsy order in his hands.  Yay!  Pictured below is the order I just received.  I ordered several of of the Tim Holtz Distress Inks, I only had a few, so I needed more colors. I also bought a package of the craft tags, and 2 Stickles. (They were sold out of Liquid Pearls before I got on the site.) Bummer.

If you haven't checked out their website, you really should.  Each week they put a few items up for promo purchase price.  I bought the Distress Inks for $2.99/pad.  I received all of this for $56.00, including shipping!

Michael's Haul 11/12/11

I got an email from Michael's saying they were giving an extra 25% off for the Veteran's day weekend.  WooHoo! On Saturday, they had a demo on the Martha Stewart "party crafting template" and I thought I would check it out. (Especially since I couldn't find a YouTube video on how to use it or tips/tricks.)  After seeing the demo, I went shopping, here is what I bought.

Martha Stewart Large Party Crafting Template, Sizzix Premium Crease Pad (I need an extra level of "padding" when using my Epic 6), Nestabilities "Labels 9" and  "Labels 8", and who can forget about "Shrinky Dinks"?  I asked my 12 y/o daughter if she ever got to use these and she said no.  NO?  Really? I thought her old daycare had used these before.  I just had to buy, I thought these would be great for using in m crafting projects too!

I also bought: Pink Zebra Duck Tape (been wanting to try using it), Martha Stewart twine, Tim Holtz's Idea-ology tissue tape in: "symphony" and "Nostalgic", Cutter-Bee scissors, Inkadinkadoo stamp in "Noel", Rose shaped sticker (my daughter chose for herself), decorative buttons )Michael's was having a make & take so I let my daughter make the button ring while I watched the demo on the MS template), Copic markers in: 100-black, E37-sepia, E00-skin white, R20-blush and R24-prawn with YR00-powder pink (2 colors on one pen).

I hope to post pics of projects using these products soon!

Oh. Btw- this whole purchase was $185 before discount, but after discount & taxes, it came out to $131.

Happy crafting my friends.
